I

Hi everyone. It's Minho here. Author said I could have my own part, so here we are.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

It was 7am when the alarm rang, a hand stretching out from beneath the covers to knock it off the bedside table, where it didn't cease its awful, shrill screeching. Sighing, Minho sat up in bed and leaned over to pick the alarm clock off the floor. Still not fully awake, he placed the clock back on the table, before turning and patting the covers next to him. "Sungsung, it's time to get up." There wasn't any response.

He tried again, wondering when did Jisung get so flat. When his brain started functioning did he realise that he had been trying to slap awake a bed for the last minute. "Where'd he go?" He wondered aloud.

Unbothered in taking off his sleeping socks, he shoved his feet into a cute pair of fluffy cat slippers and headed into the corridor, something furry brushing against his legs immediately. "Meow~"

"Good morning Doongie. Did you see where your other siblings went?" "Meow." "I'll take that as a no. Come on, let's find them so we can have breakfast." He picked up the cat, cuddling it for warmth as he shuffled into the living room. The other two cats were sitting on the kitchen floor, next to Jisung's feet, meowing to gain his attention.

"You traitors. Come, Soonie, Dori."

Hearing their names, both cat's ears perked up, but their attention was still drawn to the breakfast Jisung was making. The human, however, did turn around. "Good morning, baby."

"Morning, Sungsung. Now come here, you little shits."

Clearly not appreciating being called 'little shits', the two cats stayed with their butts planted to the floor, their line of sight unwavering.

"Come and I'll get your food." That got their attention. Minho tramped back into the hall, the two cats trailing after him, and opened the bag of cat food from the small cabinet. He spooned a fair amount of kibble into each of their bowls, before leaving them to their breakfast and heading back outside. "Sungie, you know you don't have to do this, it's too much."

"Hey, it's fine, you know I enjoy doing it, especially if it's for my baby."

Minho strode over and hugged him from behind. "What did I ever do to deserve you?" "You stole my heart, that's what. Now, if you really wanna repay me, you could always give me a kiss."

"Right now?" "Yeah, unless you don't want to." "Of course I want to!"

Minho puckered his lips and pecked his lover once on the cheek. "Dang, I thought you were gonna go for the lips." "You're cooking," the older reprimanded, "I don't want to distract you."

"You distract me the instant you enter the room, baby."

"Ugh, stop with the cheesy lines, Sung. I already know you love me." "If you say so baby."

Five minutes later, the couple were sat across each other at the partition dividing the kitchen and living room. "How's the food?" Jisung enquired nervously, swinging left and right on the high swivel barstool. "It's good, although the bacon's a little burned." "Oh, in that case, you can have mine. This one isn't burned."

"No, it's alright. Everything you cook is delicious, Sungie. No matter if it's burned or undercooked." "Awwwww, baby."

Their breakfast continued in a similar fashion, the two exchanging compliments or sharing what they were doing later. "Speaking of which, Yeosang texted me yesterday night, saying that he had to go overseas for some important conference. I'll me manning the shop on my own. You're free to come over any time you want, Sungie." "You bet I will."

"I still can't believe he left at such short notice though. We even let Seonghwa have the day off, I don't wanna just call him back to work like that." Minho rested his face in his palms and sighed. "But I should be able to manage... Oh gosh, this is gonna be a nightmare..." His voice was muffled by his fingers, before he suddenly looked up. "Say, Sungsung, you wanna catch a drink together after work? I could surely use it."

"No problem, I'll meet you after work as usual."

"Okay, it's a date."

"This isn't a date, baby. We've established what a date is already."

"Shush, Sungie."

.

.

Minho unlocked the door to the shop, entering with the tingling of the bell. This was the first time in what, months that he had opened shop alone. The last time being when Yeosang had been down with a cold. After all, the weather here was so gloomy most of the time, it was difficult to predict when you would fall ill. Before the shop officially opened, he decided he would head upstairs and bring the necessary items down, to prevent from having to do it later.

Upon his entrance into the office, he noticed a sticky note taped to the top of the laptop. It was a message from Yeosang.

"Hi Minho. I'm so sorry I had to leave like that. Please forgive me. On the other side of this note are the things that need to be done today. Thanks. KYS"

He tore off the post-it and flipped it over. A gasp of horror followed by immense relief escaping him when he saw the list. "1. I gotcha!, 2. There actually isn't, 3. Much to be done, 4. Just make sure to, 5. Water the plant, 6. Check the stock record, 7. And, 8. Reply any supplier emails, 9. That's it, 10. Thanks again."

What looked like 10 items at first glance had turned out to be 3, and the first could be done immediately. Taking out his water bottle from his crossbody bag, he poured a small amount into the soil, ensuring it wasn't too wet once he finished. That's one task down.

Picking up the laptop and its charger, Minho made his way back downstairs, switching off the lights as he did. No one would be here upstairs anyway. As soon as he touched bottom, he headed over to the counter to drop off his things, before proceeding to switch on all the main store lights. Let the long hours of torture begin.

.

.

It didn't turn out to be torture, fortunately. Jisung had dropped by about midday, when he had been allocated his lunch break, and boy did he have a lot to say, raving about an event that happened earlier. The group, SEVO, were currently filming a reality show, and for their upcoming episode, they were going to help out at a kindergarten. The exact kindergarten Jisung was working at. "They're even handsomer in real life... Look, I even managed to get selfies with them."

"Ha! Their leader is even shorter than you, and I thought you were short."

"Ouch, but yeah. He was rather stoic actually, but when he's happy he becomes a whole other person. Their oldest member, Jeonghan, really adored the kids. He even suggested to their manager that he come work here full time instead. Same with the youngest, Dokyeom. They're very much like two peas in a pod. Joshua was a bit quiet, but then again, that's how he is. But y'know what was the sweetest thing? After their mini performance, little Seungkwan went up to them and said he wants to be a singer too and join their group. It made my heart do flips. I know he's gonna make it, the diva that he is."

They exchanged words over the small lunch Sungie had brought over, before the 2 hours came and went. Albeit reluctantly, Jisung mentioned, "I gotta go." "Alright, stay safe, Sungsung." "Will do, baby. I'll catch you later." He scurried out the door, waving as he passed the glass window before disappearing from view. Well, it was only a few hours till closing, maybe he could survive this after all.

Closing up after a long day of work is such a satisfying feeling, knowing that you accomplished something, whether big or small. As Minho locked the front door of the record shop, he suddenly felt a sense of unbelonging: like he wasn't meant to be closing shop alone. He'd relied on Yeosang so much that he didn't realise how much he took his partner for granted.

"You really deserve better than me, Yeosang." He admitted aloud.

"You're already the best, baby. Everyone already got the best from you." Startled, Minho swung around, finding Jisung standing there, hands in his coat pockets.

"No, Sungie, you don't get it."

"Maybe I'll get it once you talk about it. C'mon, let's go."

"Promise you'll let me get drunk this time?"

"No promises."

The line into the bar was surprisingly short for a Sunday, so they made it in fairly quickly, wrangling a table opposite from the bar and across the dance floor. As soon as they'd settled in, a waiter walked up to them, dimples showing. "What can I get for you two today?" his nametag read "Soobin". "Hi Soobin, we'll take one shot of vodka and-" "Give us a bottle of your strongest alcohol."

Slightly taken aback, Soobin nodded and left for the bar, muttering about crazy drunkards. "Hyung, if you wanted pure alcohol, we could have always gone to the pharmacy instead. This is insane..."

"Trust me, Sungie, it's not insanity. Insanity is only when you decide that jumping into a pit of lava is the best way to take a warm shower. I am merely verging on slightly mentally perturbed."

Jisung didn't respond, seeing as Soobin had returned. "By the way, Soobin my man, you look a little young to be working here, huh." Extremely disturbed by Minho, Soobin decided his best option would be to quickly answer and leave as soon as possible. "I'm legal actually, but not gonna lie, the pay is decent." He walked off briskly to attend to other customers, while Minho turned to Jisung. "Maybe I shall come work here instead."

"Baby, that's your insecurities talking. Here, drink the alcohol. It'll help you forget, I guess."

Surprisingly, two minutes later, it was Jisung who had lost his sense of reality first, although Minho was in a rather tipsy state himself.

"Baby, have I ever told you how much I love your eyes?" "Yes, Sung, you have."

"How about your lips, your everything?" He proceeded to smack kisses on every patch of unclothed skin on his lover. Minho tugged his hand away. "What's gotten into you, Sungsung?"

"Alcohol?"

"Right, forget I asked."

"Baby, why did you split yourself into 4? Are you trying to confuse me so you can get away? I knew it, you don't love me anymoreeeeee." He burst into loud, squalling sobs.

"Shhh, Sung, no, I still love you. Even if you're the last person on earth, I'd still be with you... Wait, that doesn't make any sense."

Jisung's crying died down immediately. "Then what were you upset about?"

"It's about Yeosang. I feel so sorry toward him."

"If you wanna apologise, you can do it now."

"This type of thing is better done in person, Sungie."

"YES YOU CAN!"

"He's in England, Sung, he'll only be back on Monday."

"He's right over there."

"Oh, so now you're hallucinating," Minho glanced in the direction Jisung was pointing, and his eyes nearly popped out of his head.
