Suzzanah's POV

Mirror mirror on the wall...

My eyes shot open, ears ringing.

Was this...a dream?

Mirror mirror on the wall...

And wait...hadn't I had this dream before? When I had fallen asleep in the woods earlier today...

I found myself shaking my head not wanting to hear, just as I had done in an earlier dream, even though it was my own voice saying those words.

And I squeezed my eyes shut again, somehow not wanting to see. But no matter how tightly I closed my eyes, I could still see it all clear as day.

As my vision focused, I found myself staring at the woman in front of me.

And she stared back.

Silently. Motionlessly.

Her white shirt was ragged and torn. Her body was littered with little cuts and abrasions. Her face was muddy and dirty, and her hair...was a tousled mess of brown...and silver.

Silver...mirror on the wall...

Who is this woman standing tall?

The woman was me.

Surrounding me on all sides were many more mirrors, reflecting the bright light of an unknown source. I was in a house of mirrors, I realized, and although there weren't all that many mirrors, I didn't think I could count them all.

Intrigued, I took a step away from the mirror I was standing in front of and turned to face the others. And the minute I moved, reflections appeared in all of the mirrors at once.

But I realized...that I didn't know any of them.

Even though I was the only person in the room, and mine was the only reflection that should have appeared on the mirrors.

Yet...

Faceless women stood with their backs to me, their hair being their own identifying feature. Blondes, brunettes, red heads, those with pitch black hair, and variants of all the above mentioned colors, existed within those mirrors.

And yet one striking feature stood out above all.

Mirror mirror on the wall,

Why is there silver in them all?

Silver hair glistened brightly from amidst the natural locks of all the women in the mirrors. Some had more silver than others, but regardless they all possessed it.

The silver hair that was, to this day, a mystery to me.

As my eyes glided from mirror to mirror, my body turning in a circular motion till I was yet again facing the one mirror that had initially reflected my own frame.

As I turned back to stare at myself, my gaze was caught by the two mirrors on either side of that one, and the reflections of the two women within them who stood with their backs to me.

One had long dark brown hair with one thick brilliant silver streak running all the way down her waist-length hair.

And the other had hair that nearly fell to her knees, thick and strong, a full head of...silver. Completely silver.

And I realized...

I knew these two women.

The minute that thought came to my mind, the woman with dark hair turned around to face me from within the mirror.

My eyes widened and so did hers as we stared back at each other with familiarity.

Emily Penson.

She looked beautiful, serene and so pure as she stood there watching me with the very same expression I wore.

She was...my reflection...

Hesitantly, I took a step closer to the mirror and her reflection copied what I did. My hand extended to touch her mirror and as did hers. We both smiled at each other as we reached out, our hands a mere hair's breadth away from each others.

But the minute our fingers came into contact, the giant mirror in front of me abruptly shattered, distorting Emily's reflection completely, making me jerk away in shock.

What?!

The very next moment a mirror behind me shattered, then one on my right and then one on my left.

What's happening?!

One by one every mirror in the room started to break spontaneously, deforming and warping the reflections within them.

I stared horrified, flinching as the piercing sound of breaking glass echoed throughout the room. Crying out in fright, I covered my ears and bent over, but the sharp sound continued to resound in my head.

My heart clenched painfully every time another one of the mirrors shattered till only a handful of them remained unscathed. I waited, trembling as I looked around, for the remainder of them to be destroyed as well, but when nothing happened even after a few seconds had passed, I slowly removed my hands from over my ears and straightened.

I looked around the devastated room, the floor was littered with glistening shards of sharp glass. And when I looked closer, my heart nearly stopped at the sight of the thick dark red liquid staining all the broken shards.

Blood.

A terrified cry escaped my lips and I stumbled backwards, nearly crashing into the mirror behind me. My breath hitched as my eyes frantically roamed the floor to find every one of the shattered glass pieces stained with blood.

And when my gaze rose to the broken mirrors, I gasped in horror at what I saw. Every single one of the destroyed mirrors had it.

The blood stained print of a human hand.

I had seen this before...

My heart rate spiked, panic flooding my body as my eyes shot from one mirror to another. They all bore the same bloodied hand print- even Emily's mirror had it- as though it were a signature.

Panting for breath my gaze then shot to the few mirrors that still remained intact, and I almost let out a joyous shout when I saw that the reflections of the women within them were still unharmed.

But right in front of my eyes, those untouched reflections soon started to fade, and disappear. One by one the few remaining reflections vanished from within the mirrors and as they did, an emptiness built up, not only within the mirrors and the room, but also inside of me.

Clutching my chest, I whirled around to face the mirror that reflected the frame of woman with long silver hair. Her back was still to me, and I knew I wouldn't recognize her face even if she did turn around, and yet...

I knew her.

The Luna Ethereal.

The very first Luna Queen of the Werewolf Kingdom.

As I watched her with desperate eyes, I thought I saw her frame tense a little before her head turned to the side ever so slightly. My heart rate accelerated and anticipation filled me when I realized that she was about to turn around.

But then she too started fading, her frame growing transparent within the confines of the silver mirror.

Panic struck me once more and I was about to take a step closer to her when I heard it. That familiar haunting sound.

The sound of powerful footfalls crashing into the ground.

I knew this sound...It was the same as the one from my earlier dream.

My head whipped around, eyes frantically searching my surroundings for the one thing I feared most right then.

That dark feral creature with the deathly evil aura that I had encountered earlier today.

He's coming

I gasped, my eyes shooting once again to the Luna Ethereal's mirror. She had her head turned just enough to allow me a slight glance at the side of her face. Her skin shone like that of a goddess, thick lashes shielded her eyes and her lips were slightly parted.

And I was shocked when I realized that it was her voice that had just spoken those words.

He's coming, she repeated, her voice an urgent whisper, he's coming for you

My blood ran cold and chills tore down my spine.

But this time...you must survive, she told me, her fists clenching.

You must survive

And he must die

The thundering sound of his strides became louder, and as did the sound of my wildly beating heart.

He will come for you, so beware, Suzzanah

Beware of him who comes with bloodied hands

Bloodied...hands.

My gaze immediately shot to Emily's mirror that bore the large bloodied hand print over it.

Beware of him who comes with bloodied hands

I had heard that before. I had already been told that before!

I believe in you

My eyes found the Luna Ethereal's face once more to find a hint of a smile playing on her veiled lips.

I believe in you, Luna beloved, she repeated tenderly, You are the one

"L-Luna-!" I breathed out.

You will be the end

"B-but I-"

Be strong

My words caught in my throat on hearing those two words.

Be strong.

Karina's words...

Be strong...Suzzanah. For you are the one.

You will be the end.

And with that, the Luna Ethereal disappeared from within her mirror and I was left alone in that room of shattered and destroyed mirrors, all of them empty, except for the one that was now right in front of me.

The mirror that held the reflection of a woman hadn't disappeared. A woman who was still alive.

I stared at my reflection in the silver mirror, my face tired, body battered. And yet my eyes held a fire that was enough to get me through this. A determination and a strength that would help me survive.

Mirror mirror on the wall...

A heavy footstep sounded from close behind me and the mirror shifted, shining blindingly as it caught a bright light that masked my reflection completely.

Lets end this once and for all

My fingers curled into fists and jaw clenched as I prepared myself for what was to come. Something in the crook of my neck tingled fiercely, providing me with a powerful reassurance.

And then I felt its presence right behind me.

He was here.

You will be the end.

And he had come for me.

"Found you...!"
