Chapter 8
“This is your new ‘home’. This prison was designed to hold special guests. It could even hold your buddy Thor,” Nick Fury explained. We were standing around a big glass cylinder. I was still restrained by a zip-tie around my hands, and the guards holding my arms back.
“How did he get in there in the first place?” I asked. ”I thought he was on your side.”
“He was tricked by his brother, Loki.”
“Oh, so that story was true. I thought my father was making it up. He does that often. Although, most of the stories about the Avengers were true. Thor is a blockhead, and the rest of them are annoying gnats.”
“Again I’ll ask: who is your father?”
I decided to answer him because sooner or later he was going to be told. “My father is Loki, God of Mischief.”
“Yeah right, and I’m Deadpool.”
“I am not lying. How else do you think I could have gotten these powers?”
“Experimentations? Freak accident? I’ve seen a lot, kid.”
“Do. Not. Call. Me. Kid.”
“Anyways, this prison is built with Metallic Glass, which is currently the strongest glass in the world, even stronger than steel. Good luck trying to get out of here.”
“If my father could escape, then so can I.”
“First of all, I still don’t believe that Loki is your father. Secondly, we have made some… improvements… since Loki was here.” He moved over to a control panel and hit a button. The glass walls on the cylinder darkened.
“Oooh, tinted windows!” I said sarcastically. “So scary and threatening!”
“That’s on the outside,” he said, still looking at the control panel. He found the button he was looking for and hit it. Instantly, a small screen flickered on, and I could see what was inside the cell. It was all reflective windows, and I realized what it was. It was like the mirror in my cell, reflective on one side, and see-through on the other.
Fury pressed yet another button, and the glass cylinder rose.
“Time to see where you’ll be staying for a while,” he said. I hesitated and was pushed from behind on to the floor of the cylinder.
“How rude,” I said sarcastically. I stood up and a guard grabbed my wrists and undid the restraints. He immediately stepped back as a rubbed my sore wrists. Fury pressed another button, and the walls came down around me.
“Now,” Fury started, “be good. If you are good-”
“Let me guess,” I cut in, pretending to think, “I get a cookie!”
“No.”
“Oh.”
The door to the room opened and Thor came in. He walked over to Fury and whispered something into his ear. Fury nodded and left the room, leaving only Thor and I.
“I have one question, and it has been bothering me ever since you said it. You claim that I am your uncle and that my brother, Loki, is your father. But, Loki is dead. He has been dead. I watched him die before me.”
I could not help it, I started to laugh. I laughed at how little he knew.
“Why are you laughing? Is there something I have missed?” he asked, obviously getting irritated.
“You people never cease to amuse me. How long ago was that? When he died?”
“He died almost a year ago in Svartalfheim.”
“Did you see him die? Are you sure that he was not only pretending?”
“Why would he pretend to die? He was helping us.” Thor started to ponder on this thought. He walked away from my cylinder. I summoned a chair and sat down. Thor turned around to face me.
“Er han virkelig i live?” he asked. Is he truly alive?
“Ja, han er.” I replied. Yes, he is. He nodded his head, a small smile starting to form on his face. I quickly asked him, “Hvorfor snakker du på norsk i stedet for engelsk?” Why do you talk in Norwegian instead of English?
He thought for a moment before answering. “Jeg vil ikke ha S.H.I.E.L.D. å finne ut om Loki.” I do not want S.H.I.E.L.D. to find out about Loki. Then, he turned and left.

Definitely one of the shorter chapters in this one, but I find it funny.
