"SIGRID!" came the smooth voice of my father. Even when he was yelling, he was calm. At least when compared to the unworthy dead souls of Helheim.

"Yes, father?" I said, trying to keep my fear at bay.

"I have a task for you. It would allow you to leave this wretched place, and journey to Midgard."

It took me a moment to process this. If I accepted his task, I could leave Helheim and explore Midgard. But, I would most likely come with a price, one not easily paid off. If I didn't accept, I would be stuck here in Helheim for the rest of my mortal life.

"Sigrid, what is your answer?"

I wanted to get out of this wretched place. "Father, I accept your task."

"Good. Now let us talk about your task. To live up to your name as the daughter of Loki."
