I walked the halls keeping an eye out for the friendly Australian boy. I really wanted to ask him what his name was, I hoped we could become friends. I walked into my third class, biology with Donna. We had a peaceful lesson until one of the boys decided that the cow skull would make a nice ball to pass around. As Donna and I dodged the flying skull we laughed and made jokes together, as much as I didn't want to admit it I think we were becoming friends. Even this morning when I got into the bus there were two seats open and I chose to sit next to Donna (not because the only other seat was next to Tyler and only because his friend who was sitting there was standing with his hands on a girl and her friend's seat).

After biology I greeted Donna and as she walked away backwards mouthing something to me she was tripped by one of Tyler's friends. I saw as she tumbled backwards into the water fountain near the entrance of the class and dropped her books. The entire class started laughing as the walked out and over her. I could see she was hurt as she was rubbing the back of her head with her one hand. As anger rushed through me I pushed the boy who tripped her, he barely moved and just turned around and looked down at me. "You wanna join her?" He said menacingly. Scared, I looked down and shook my head. After they all left I helped Donna up "Sorry" I mumbled "Its fine" she said blankly and walked away. I had a feeling it wasn't fine but I didn't want to pressure her so I let her leave...

When I reached the cafeteria at lunchtime she wasn't at the table we sat at yesterday or even in the cafeteria for that fact. I assumed she might be late so I sat down at the deserted table to awkward to eat. I looked around the cafeteria to see if the Australian boy was feeling kind enough to start a conversation. I looked past each of the cliques scanning for where the charismatic boy probably already found friends and surprisingly I found him at Tyler's table. In shock I probably stared for two minutes before Tyler's piercing blue eyes met mine. Self conciously I got up and went to the library where there were a lot less people than in the cafeteria. 'Why would he get mixed up with them?' I asked myself thinking back to the boys dusty blonde hair. 'What am I saying? I don't even know his name' I snapped back to reality. I grabbed a book from the shelf I was next to and started absent mindedly reading.

I felt my hands get sweaty as I walked to Chemistry scared of what Tyler might do to me if I actually showed up but to my surprise his desk was open. 'Probably decided to bunk' I thought to myself as I was rejoicing on the inside. But then he entered the classroom. I felt my heart drop. He sat next to my desk and turned his body facing mine and stared at me "Hi I'm Tyler" he said flatly, I couldn't tell if he was sarcastic or actually greeting me, but being the good girl my mother raised me as I said "Hi I'm Shelly". "Let's get this straight, I need to do well in this experiment to pass the semester. So if you're not willing to put in effort were going to have a problem." That sounded more like the Tyler I expected with the threat but I was also surprised that he wanted to put in effort, " I would not mind doing well either" I replied. And just like that we started working on the research part of the assignment.

So far...things where going well....to well....
