Anika's POV

As the new year approached, I was so eager for this month to get a start as it's a special month for me, a month which indicates my age and my maturity.

Although I get older I'm still not able to change my maturity level, it's just too hard for it. I just love the way how Im and my love also loves it.

So, I'm not going to change myself for anyone unless it has to happen naturally.

I woke up to anirudh's cold snores which was hitting on my ears, creepily. The morning sunshine entering into my room through the curtains gave me so much of positive vibes. I could feel that this day will be a memorable one for me.

With that, I jumped down off my bed and walked towards the bathroom, to get ready for the day. After a hot shower, I fiddled my fingers on the wardrobe to find a best and elegant outfit, the white and pink mixed colour salwar which got my eyes took my attention towards it. I love it ! I quickly made my way to the closet to change my dress.

After that, I dried my hair and plated it, applying some foundation on my face. I just looked simple in this look and I grinned myself, looking at my reflection at the mirror.

Just then, my eyes glanced at anirudh rolling off the bed. I walked towards the bed, with an intention of to wake him up. Let my day get a blissful start with his wish.

Yes, Today is my birthday and that's why I have been too happy and excited.

"Anil! Anil!" I called him, climbed on the bed and scratching his hand.

"Niku ma, I'm too tired! Let me to sleep peacefully for a while." He said, in a sleepy haze.

"Okay !" I replied, in a upset tone.

No wish! No happiness! I got down off the bed with a sad face and decided not to disturb him, so then I went downstairs to pray and have my breakfast. There was no one in home, I made something myself and had my breakfast.

None have wished me till date, expect shanky. He was the very first person to wish me sharp at 12 midnight. He's such a sweet guy that my nu has got.

His call was just so surprise and a stunned one. The fact I can't digest is that my anu who wishes me the first every year but this year she still hasn't.

Thinking about this, my mind and my everything was turning to be dull. To change my mood I pulled my phone, taking a seat on the couch at the living hall and started to play mario run in my phone. As this is the only thing which helps me out!

After a few moments, I glanced at the wall clock to check the time and it was 12 already! Afternoon, Damm I spent my half day playing games on my phone with no fun at all.

I got up from the couch to wake up anirudh, just on time lakshmi amma entered into the house I gifted a smile to her and rushed my feet back to my room.

I have to do this! I don't want my birthday to be an unhappy day. I entered into my room furiously, as soon as I got in I saw Anirudh coming out from the bathroom. Thank god! I didn't have to wake him up.

I just looked at him confusedly like so abnormal. I took a deep breath and let it out, firmly.

He made his way towards the dressing room and I followed him back. I badly wanna know if he knows my birthday date.

"Anil, do you know what day is today?" I asked, sheepishly.

"Today is tuesday. And oh shit, I have recording." He said, dropping down his comb brush.

"Great!" I said rolling off my eyes.

He grabbed his coolers from his wardrobe and was about to leave the room. I don't mind to remind him that today's my birthday. I calmed down myself and walked out of the room.

"Ani... Today is.."

"Niku I will talk to you later. I'm already late ma! Sorry!" He said, rushing his feet downstairs, biding a bye to me.

Yellamae pochii! He doesn't even know today's my birthday! Why can't he wait for a second to hear my words. I hate you Loosu.

I didn't respond him anything, left the place giving a fake smile to him and entered into my room.

As soon as I entered in my room, my phone ringed louder, playing the rhythm of love theme. I sceptically brought my hand forward, and glanced at the display.

Sreyuu calling !

"Happyyy Birthdayyyy Raachasii. Wishing you a very blessed year filled with happiness." Sreyas said, through the phone speaker excitedly.

"Thank you !" I mouthed, in a irritated tone.

"Yenna voice oru maariya iruku. Indhaa nerathulla un seduu munjiyae pathaa semmaiyae irukum eh." Sreyas said, teasingly.

"Urghh!! You're done with wishes right? Then cut the call.Kadupu yethathaa loosu." I said, pissed of completely.

"Heyy!! Why are you tensed now? Okay, tell me did ani wish you?" Sreyas said, politely.

"He didn't!" I replied.

"Oh so that's why raachaasi sad ah?? Don't worry he will wish you soon." Sreyas said, with a convincing voice.

"Poo! He isn't going to wish me. He doesn't know my birthday." I said, sadly.

"Oii, Don't worry he will wish you. And so when have you decided to confess your love to ani or you want me to tell him? Avaanum pavaam la." Sreyas said.

"Yennaku therila. But you don't open your nonsense mouth for gods sake. I'll tell him when time comes. He is no more pavam poochi he didn't wish me so this is his punishment." I said, biting my tongue with a evil smirk on my face.

"This is all too much Niku! Anyways, all the best! Will come over to see you in the evening." Sreyas said, smilingly.

"Okay! And sreyuu I think ani doesn't know my birthday. So you like casually remind him about it." I said, feeling so down.

"That means you badly need his wish?" He asked, in an assuring tone.

"Hmmm hmmm!" I said, nodding my head in eagerness.

"Okay will do it." He said, hung up the call.

I felt a bit relieved after speaking to sreyas. I kinda feel that anirudh will wish me soon, sooner as I think. Then, I scrolled up my iMessage and saw wishes from iyappan, sid and anu. With a smile on my face I thanked them.

Anirudh's POV

I know today's my lollypie's birthday. I'm pretending to her that I don't know. She was trying to say something to me, I knew what it's going to be so I just stayed silent, by not paying attention to her. Her reaction was just too cute to see and adore.

As I have to keep up with my promised surprise to her, I have to act. I lied to her for a good cause, I don't have any recording today. Now, I'm on the way to set the surprise for her, perfectly.

I told all my friends to wish her, when they get time. As I didn't want her to feel so down and dull on this special day. Though my wish will be late, I'm cent percent sure she's happy with their wishes and she will be with my surprise.

I reached the surprise place, parking my car at the porch. Everything was going as per my plan. Shanky and Sid had come earlier to finish up with the arrangements. All my hope is nothing should go wrong. I just want my baby girl to be so surprised and happy with it.

I confidently wished! And I carried on with my work.

Anika's POV

Bored again! I was on my bed sitting with one crossed leg, letting my other leg down on the floor and thinking what to do. I turned around and took my bag from the table nearby.

I opened it and found anirudh's gift, the ring which he presented me. I smiled looking at it, I slowly pulled the ring out from the box and inserted it in my right hand finger.

I glanced at my right hand finger, wearing the ring. It looked so nice on my hand but that's not the right place for that ring to stay in. It should be on my left hand, but then I want anirudh to wear it on my finger.

I started to make up things within myself and blushed at it. Imagining how anirudh wears the ring on my finger. Smiling to myself, I walked down the stairs to the living hall. Just then, I saw Lakshmi amma preparing lunch and keeping it ready at the dining hall.

I made my way towards the dining hall, and quickly bend down and touched her feet to get her blessings. I bet she was astonished with my action.

"Amma, bless me! Today's my birthday." I said, just staying down on the floor touching her feet.

She held me up, holding my waist and delivered a warm smile at me. I smiled back and hugged her. Though she doesn't accept me as her daughter in law I'll always be her one fan and she will always be my role model.

I broke the hug and sat down to have my lunch. I could see that she was so awestruck with my antics. I wanted her to wish me but then her smile gave me very big gift to me.

With that, I served food for myself and started to eat. I couldn't ask or talk a word to her as her delicious cooking was making me hungry. So, I determined to feed my stomach first.

After a few moments, I was done with my lunch and descended my way towards the living hall. Just then, lakshmi amma's voice stopped my way. I walked back in awe and stood infront of her.

"Happy Birthday! And here's a small gift from me." She said, wearing a platinum bracelet on my right hand.

I'm astonished! I didn't expect this from her at all. I just starred at her in an utter surprise. I don't know whether to cry or smile for this. But this made me to feel a moment where I can't express my feelings with words.

Just then, I turned around to see anirudh, entering inside causally. I quickly ran up to him, with a bright smile on my face. I was just too excited to share this with him as he'll also feel happy.

"Anil, see amma gift me this bracelet." I said, forwarding my right hand infront of him.

He looked at it with a serious look and looked at me, casually. I saw his one eye glancing at his mom behind me who was watching us silently.

"Nice." He said, with a smile on his face.

He sounded so off, like as if he hated to see that bracelet on my hand. But I badly hoped for him to notice the ring that I'm wearing on my right hand finger too. But then, seems like he didn't.

"Niku, I'm going to see anu you also come with me. She would love to see you." He said.

"Naa poi yen shawl yeduthutu vaaratum aah?" I asked, with a pout face.

He nodded his head, agreeing to my statement. I quickly ran upstairs rushed my feet inside my room, grabbed my shawl and climbed down the stairs.

Meanwhile anika went to take her shawl, anirudh made his way towards to the kitchen to have a talk with his mom. He and his mom are still in a hi-bye relationship. It's been months since they both talked properly or happily.

"Maa, Thank you! I don't know for what you gifted anika the bracelet. But I take the bracelet gift has a remark for accepting anika as your daughter in law. I hope to see you showering love to her soon." Anirudh said, earnestly with lots of hope in him that his mom will change.

Anirudh's mom reminded silent taking his son's words into her ears. She didn't dare to face him nor reply to his words.

Anirudh said that he's going to see anu but then where is he going? To visit anu there're only two place, one is her hospital and other on is my house.

But then, it seemed like anirudh wasn't taking me to hospital to see anu. Not to form stupid thoughts into my mind. I decided to ask Anirudh where he's taking me.

"Anil, where are we going? I thought we going to see anu? Aren't we?" I asked, questioningly.

"Arambichitiya un kelvi kekkura vellaiyae. We're going to see anu. She messaged me to come to this new place in thiruvamiyur." He said, casually.

"Thiruvamiyur?! Why so far?" I said, opening my mouth widely.

"Haha, its not that far lollypie. It takes only 25 minutes time." He said, chuckling.

"Indhaa lollypie, baby, darling nu lan kupuduraa vella vechikadhaa. Naa un mela kovam aah iruken." I said, sternly as he still didn't wish me.

"Why? What's the reason behind your anger towards me?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Reason solla maaten. But irundhalum nee theriyadhae maariyae naadikira." I said, turned around to face my left, while my back faced anirudh.

He chuckled but didn't respond anything!

"Loosu !" I murmured, with a shirked face.

I didn't talk to anirudh throughout the ride. Though he tried to get my attention, I didn't bother about it. He seemed like he's acting as if he doesn't know today's my birthday but at the same time he looks casual thinking as it's a normal day.

Confused! I'm so freaking confused on this.

As Anirudh mentioned, we reached the place in about 25minutes. I got down from the car and scanned the place around. It was so calm and breezy, with so much of nature effects.

The entrance was filled with flowers and tress around. It looked so fresh and green. But then, a huge house at the centre of this place got my attention.

I wondered why there is a house all alone at this place, with no people's around. I looked at anirudh, suspiciously who was walking so quietly along with me.

"Anil, Are you sure anu is at this place?" I asked, unsurely.

"Yeah" he replied, in a simple way.

"But why does this place look different. Why there is a house all alone here and no signs like people lives here? This place looks a bit like mystery." I said, walking closer to anirudh untill I hold his hand, pairing it up with mine.

"Haha! Don't get scared niku. I'm there with you right here. This place isn't like you should be scared off." He said, comforting me, holding my hand tightly.

I couldn't talk anything more than that as I walked with him, still holding his hand. He took me inside a huge hall, it looked like an auditorium with a stage build in with a strong cemetery.

This place is something really different from my thoughts. I can feel some new people's of voice, which I'm not sure of.

It was like altogether talking chrously. I looked at anirudh, with a doubtfull face and yet the afraid ness was still there in me. He walked more closer to the stage, making me to stand with him, comfortably.

Before, I was about to talk to anirudh. A group of people's chorused voice hit my ears, trying to get my attention. I turned around looked at the second door from my right.

Right there, My eyes glanced at a bunch of crowded kids making their way towards me, with balloons in their hand, singing happy birthday song. At the behind, anu shanky, sid and sreyas. The most touchable thing was my heart was some kids coming in a wheel chair.

I can't believe what's actually happening at this place. Everything looks like a dream.

I was dumbfounded. I starred at anirudh in confusion and surprised. I badly wanted a clear explanation of what's happening here.

"Happy Birthday lollypie!" He said, gifting me a red colour balloon.

I took it from him, cluelessly. Soon then, the kids all made the balloon fly up on time when anirudh wished me and his friends popped out the birthday wrappers.

Few of those wrappers fell on my head and anirudh's. His face was brightly smiling, clearing those wrappers from his head.But me, I just starred at him. I wasn't in the state to smile or talk. He faced me with a smile on his face.

"Hoii!! What are you looking? This is your wish, dream goal and everything right? There are totally 400+ kids in this orphanage and those kids right there are from different states and cities, some are in difficulties of health problems and some are in terms of educational financial. So, as it's your birthday today I open this orphanage on this special day." He said, feeling so happy.

"And here's the logo of our orphanage home, AARVIN !" He said, turning around me towards the stage.

The logo and the name of the orphanage home appeared right infront of my eyes, in bold letters with lots of decorations around it, when iyappan pulled the curtain screen.

I'm awestruck with anirudh's surprise. Well, yes this was my dream goal and everything which I wanted to achieve. But then how did he know all this? That one question hit me hard.

"This is what you wanted to achieve right? Let me tell you one thing, The money I spent on this was all by your savings. Yes, I used your bank saved account money and some of them I took from your coin box. I apologise for that but I wanted this to be a pleasant surprise for you. I wish I could offer some money on behalf but then I heard that your goal has to be done only with your own savings or yearnings. That's why I didn't if not I would have done wholeheartedly." He finished, giving his explanation.

I just felt like crushing him with a lovable hug and stay in his embrace. This surprise got me so emotional, he went so deep to make my dream goal get a life. He did this all for me. Just for me? I'm at the verge point of crying, but then I'm controlling it looking at his ever charming smile.

I seriously don't know how to thank him now. My thanks will never touch the place of his love towards me. Only my love can do that. Right at this moment, I decided to confess my love to him.

I just can't stay quiet after all this happened. He went out of his responsibilities and did something just for me and it's wrong if I don't do something in return.

I have no other idea other than confessing my love to him. Let it be early but this will lead us to a happy life and that's what he needs from me too.

Just then, Anu brought me back to sense and made to cut the cake and they started to distribute this to the kids. I was happy at the way how the kids was happy.

They all looked adorably cute and the fact I still can't believe is that they all are going to live under my guidance.

I don't know if I have the maturity or ability to take care of this home but I know anirudh will stand by me to guide me into a straight path.

After spending little time with kids, I saw my appa talking with anirudh. This was surprising me and I didn't mind the way how he came over here. I just wanted to run up to him and hug him, literally pour out all my emotions.

As I thought, I ran towards my appa and hugged him, feeling so emotional. Anirudh left the place genuinely, giving a privacy place for us. I don't know why but I just wanted to cry, hugging my appa. His presence was an expected one and so anirudh's surprise was.

Appa consoled me, caressing my back softly. And told me to stop crying but then I couldn't. He broke the hug and made me to face him.

"Birthday adhuvum aah azhludhukutu. See, my baby girl shouldn't cry. I can understand how you're feeling now niku. But look at everyone how happy they're for you." He said, turning me around the place where anirudh and his friends were talking.

I just reminded silent.

"Do you know how happy anirudh feels? He's just too enthusiastic about the surprise he presented you. And he loves you so much. The world doesn't know what you achieved niku but deep inside he feels utterly proud to be your husband." Dad said, feeling so elated.

Once again, I'm speechless never thought I will hear the same thing from my dad too. Just then, iyappan came and pulled me into the small room at first floor for the party they arranged. I couldn't do anything to come outside of that place as everyone was happy.

I just stayed calm with a smile on my face. I was kinda hesitating to eat when everyone forced me to but then I ate as I didn't want them to have a doubt on me.

After spending a long time at the party hall, We both got back home and soon I climbed up to the terrace, not bothering to face Anirudh.

I wanted to get some fresh air and relax myself. I know he was expecting me to talk about the day but then I couldn't do it without giving him a return back gift.

I reached the terrace, it welcomed me coolly with a cold breeze hitting on my face. I stood there, crossing my hands around my chest and glancing the moonlight. This reminded me the scenario of how anirudh proposed me.

Suddenly, I heard some footsteps coming up to the stairs. I turned around to look at the person and it was anirudh standing right there, with a long gap between us.

I shrunk away from looking at his gaze, keeping my face innocently.

"Niku, What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Why do you want to know? I want to be alone. Just leave me alone." I said, raising my voice a little.

He didn't respond anything and just walked back. I shrieked my face, looking at the way he was going to leave the terrace. I thought he'll try to convince me or talk to me but then he's leaving the place so causally.

"Anil !" I called him, politely which sounded in a cute way.

He stopped his track and walked towards me,hearing my voice. He looked at me questioningly. I fixed my gaze down at floor, but my eyes still kept looking at him.

"Yenna kalyanam panniko?" I asked, with a full of innocence.

I hope he got the message with what I asked him. He looked so surprised and smiled, inverted.

"Naa unna?" He asked, pointing his index finger at me.

I nodded my head up and down, shyly.

"Hmm, naa thaan unnaku Loosu aachae, fraud, idiot stupid illa mae. More importantly, pasaam aah irukuraa maari naadipen achae." He said, keeping his hands akimbo and smirked.

"Paaruva illa adjust pannikiren. Oru Loosu inno oru Loosu aah kalyanam pannikuradhula onnum thappu illa." I said, with a pout face.

"Yaarudi sonna nee loosu nu? Nee yen chellam, yen bujii ma, yen lollypie, moodhadhula nee yen cute pondatti." He said, pulled me into his embrace.

Instantly, I blushed! I was standing like a blushing factory around his arms. I felt like shouting my lungs out, pour out my emotions and the love I have for anil. I freakingly wanted to shout the three letter word.

"Veetula yaarum illa la ?" I asked, blushing.

"Hmm no!" He said.

I walked backwards, moving away from him and stopped at a approximate distance between us. He was clueless in what I was doing. I was now ready to confess my love to him, with my mind and soul.

"I love you Anillll !" I said, clutching him into a brief hug.

He holded me securedly with his strong arms around me. I just rested my head on of his shoulders, feeling so relieved and happy that I finally confessed my love to him. I proposed to him just the way how he proposed to me.

I turned and looked at him, his eyes were glittered with tears. But he didn't let it out. He quickly pecked a kiss on both of my cheeks and I smiled at it.

"Yeppdi nu therila. Yennakae theriyama, yennaiyae aariyama naa unna naaringi vandhuten. Innimae nee sonnalum yennala unna vittu pooga mudiyadhu anil." I said, laying my head on his chest.

"Wow! Never knew my lollypie can speak this sentimental?" He said, in a teasing tone and chuckled.

I gave a friendly hit on his chest and buried my face. He wrapped his arms around me and pecked a kiss on my head.

"I knew you'll confess your love to me but I didn't know that it will be this soon and in a cute way. Though I know you were falling for me but I waited just to see the cuteness in you when you confess your love. All I want to say is thank you and love you too." He said, near to my earlobes.

I looked up to him, deep into his eyes just reading the feels that he has got for me. My lips shiverly tried to smile but then it failed and I just hide my face back to his chest, feeling so sentimentally emotional.

Just then, I told him to wear the ring on my left hand which was there on my right hand. He wored it on my left hand and now the term unofficial, becomes official now. I'm officially his, ONLY HIS !

He pulled me towards him, with an intention to kiss but then I pulled him and ran downstairs to my room. He followed me back and caught me in his arms the moment I entered in.

"So, tonight I replace your ted pablo's place right? Do you know how much my hands are craving to have you around? Please say yes!" He said, pleadingly hugging me from behind.

I turned around and nodded my head to sides meaning no! Immediately, his face went down, releasing me out from his hug.

I just carried on my work to change my dress and freshen up to sleep peacefully. We both didn't talk right after that, I can understand how much he needs me around but I'm pretending to be a little childish.

We both slept with our back facing each other, I just played with my doll pablo, laying down on my head. Anirudh seemed so silent as I couldn't hear any sound from him. I leaned up and peeked a look at him, he's still awake with a shrieked face. I smiled to myself and laid back down.

Then, I slowly moved towards him, just by laying my body on the bed without making any noise. I turned and faced his back, I was so close to him untill my body touched his.

I crawled my hand around his waist and clutched his fingers with mine, tightly. I quickly hide my face on the bed, feeling extremely shy by my action.

He turned around, lifting up my head and placed it on his chest, embracing me.

"Anil, Can I ask you something?" I said, looked up at him, just laying on his chest.

"Hmm!" He said.

"Un kadhaa ah Kattu." I said, showing my finger towards his ears.

He adjusted himself, getting lowered to my level and I leaned up a little bit more closer to his ears and whispered to him in a very low tone. He looked at me with his surprised eyes.

I don't know if my statement make sense but then I just felt like asking him that.

A pretty longggg chapter, sorry if you'all felt uneasy to read this long chapter. Actually I planned to update this chapter coming year but then i thought that I make all my readers wait.

So, hope you'all like this chapter. And yes, anika finally confesses her love to anirudh but that's where the problem all going to start now.
