The command rang out through the camp. The Eeveelutions looked confused.

"I said, ATTACK!!!!" Lightstar screeched again. Without further hesitation the clan rushed at Nightpaw, Starstep, and Psypelt. Nightpaw shot into the air.

"Starstep!" She cried as she saw her new friend dissapear in a mass of claws and teeth. Psypelt was watching a little was away, unharmed.

"Get the espeon too fools!" Commanded Lighstar. A couple of Nightpaw's clanmates broke away from Starstep and charged at Psypelt, who kept them at bay with his telepathy. Starstep was fighting valiantly, but already she had a ragged gash down her side. Nightpaw was about to go down and help her when something snaked around her leg and whipped her to the ground. Nightpaw gasped in pain, and watched in horror as more tendrils wrapped around her body. They were ribbons.

"Lightstar.." Breathed Nightpaw. The Sylveon stepped over her, ribbons flowing around her head like a halo, but she was no angel. Her ribbons were incredibly long, encasing Nightpaw. Nightpaw struggled. "Sh-Shadow ball!" She managed, shooting another orb at Lightstar. She was knocked back, and Nightpaw was realesed. "Bite!" Yelled Nightpaw, charging forward, but Lightstar dodged and scratched Nightpaw down her side. Nightpaw gasped, and ran out of the Leaders reach as she swiped at Nightpaw again. Nightpaw flew shakily over to Psypelt. She grabbed ahold of his scruff and started pulling the larger heavier espeon off the ground. "Help- me-" she mumbled throug his scruff. He caught on to her plan and levitated himself. Together they got Psypelt onto the roof of the warrior den. "Start working on taking down the spell!" Gasped Nightpaw. Psypelt nodded. Suddenly, something grabbed Nightpaw's leg (again) and slammed her to the dusty ground.

"Somebody hold her down!" Roared Lightstar, realesing Nightpaw. A warrior bounded over and pinned Nightpaw down, claws digging into her shoulders. She looked up to see who it was, and gasped. It was Sparkfang.

"Father!" Gasped Nightpaw, "it's me! It's Nightpaw!" Sparkfang looked down at her with nothing but rage in his misty eyes.

"Don't listen to her!" Lightstar smiled evilly, "she's a deciving witch who will try to convince you she's your friend!" Sparkfang nodded curtly. Nightpaw's heart felt like it was being clawed.

"Move, fool! Now!" Screeched Lightstar to Sparkfang. He sprang off of Nightpaw just as Lightstar roared, "SOLAR BEAM!!!!!"

Startstep was fighting like a pyroar. She was doing quite well, but there were too many warriors, and Starstep didn't want to hurt Nightpaw's clanmates. She saw a break in the ring of hostile eeveelutions around her, and sprinted for it. The Warriors shreiked in fury, but Starstep had disappeared into the shadows. She scrambled up to the top of one of the dens, and surveyed what was happening. She spotted Psypelt. He was hovering slightly off the top of one of the dens, and he was glowing, eyes white. He's lifting the spell. Thought Starstep happily. Nightpaw was up with him, but suddenly Lightstar grabbed Nightpaw's leg with one of her ribbons and slammed her to the ground. Before the apprentice could get up a jolteon pinned her down. Starstep tensed.

"Sparkfang." She whispered to herself. Nightpaw's father. She had told her about him on the way here. Lightstar yelled something and the Jolteon jumped off of Nightpaw. Starstep could hear the next words the leader spoke quite clearly.

"SOLAR BEAM!!!!"

"Nightpaw no!" Gasped Starstep, frozen to the spot. A huge beam shot down from the sky. Straight. At. Nightpaw. "NOOO!!!" Screamed Starstep, but something was happening. There was no explosion, no triumphant laugh, what was.. Starstep gasped. She could make out a glowing figure in the middle of the huge beam. It was Nightpaw. She was absorbing the move.

"WHAT????" Roared Lightstar in fury. She wanted a crater, explosions, nothing left of Nightpaw except feathers, but something else had happened. Nightpaw was hovering in the middle of the beam, wings spread. She was enveloped in glowing light. "NOOO!!!!" Lightstar screamed. The move faded, and Nightpaw slowly lowered to the ground, the glow fading. Nightpaw was panting. She heard a shout from the top of the nursery.

"YES!" She looked over to see Starstep grinning at her.

"FFFOOOOOOLLL!!!" Lightstar screeched, claws sliding out. She was panting, hackles up, and she didn't even look like Ligtstar anymore. "I WILL DESTROY YYYOOOUUU!!!!!!" She charged forward, slamming Nightpaw against the side of the apprentice den. She pressed her paw against Nightpaw's throat. Her claws slid out, digging into Nightpaw's flesh. Nightpaw tried to speak, but noting came out.

"NIGHTPAW!!!" Cried Starstep, bounding down to help her, but two warriors blocked her way. Nightpaw felt her body starting to go limp. With her last fraction of energy, she shoved out her legs, clawing Lightstars stomach. Lightstar fell back, and Nightpaw collapsed to the ground. Starstep heard a call from above.

"I've done it! The spell has been lifted!" Psypelt beamed, panting. The Warriors below all shook their heads, mist fading from their eyes.

"W-what happened?" Murmered Chillypelt. 

"Nightpaw!" Yelled Sparkfang, racing to his daughters side. Nightpaw coughed. 

"F-father?" She murmered, creaking open her eyes. 

"MOVE ASIDE!!!!" Shreiked Lightstar, flinging Sparkfang away like he was a kit. He scrambled to his feet and ran to Nightpaw's side. Sparkfang supported Nightpaw as she shakily stood up. 

"On three" she murmered. "One.. Two.. THREE!!! SHADOWBALL!!!!" She yelled, at the same time Sparkfang yelled,

"ELECTRO BALL!!!!" The orbs launched out of the  Warriors' jaws. 

"NOOO!!!!!" Shreiked Lightstar crazily as the two orbs spiraled at her. When they hit there was a huge explosion, throwing Nightpaw and Sparkfang backwards. The smoke cleared to reveal a huge crater with a limp white and pink body at the bottom. Lightstar was dead. Sparkfang staggered to his feet.

" Sparkfang, do you know what this means?" Whispered Emberfur in awe. "You're the leader now! Shadedleaf should take you to the Moonstone right away!" 

"I didn't take away her medicine knowledge." Psypelt explained. "Shadedleaf is our new Medicine Eevee." Nightpaw noticed the Leafeon for the first time. She was darker then Sagepelt. Nightpaw padded forward.

"When Psypelt lifted the spell, we didn't know anything, but our memory has returned. I'm so sorry about Sagepelt." Shadedleaf murmered. 

"It wasn't your fault." Nightpaw licked her shoulder. "Now go, take my father to the Moonstone!" Shadedleaf nodded, and led Sparkfang out of the camp. Two warriors grabbed Lightstars scruff and dragged her out of camp, leaving her somewhere beyond the border. Nightpaw pressed against Starstep happily. She had done it! 

Somewhere in the woods, a white paw clenched, and bloodied claws tore into the leaves.
