HE LAUGHED???????
Vanya POV
"So we need to make sure they aren't a threat," Five finished.
I blinked twice in confusion before glancing to my left at Allison who looked just as confused as I was.
"Why would they be a threat?" I asked,
"For the last time Vanya," Five hissed poking his head out slightly at me, "They have been known to have powered people known as Inhumans-"
"How did we not know about this?" Luther interrupted. Big mistake.
"If you used that monkey sized brain of yours and looked into the world maybe you would," Five was clearly irritated as he narrowed his eyes at our biggest brother. "As I was saying, they could be collecting them for some superpowered army."
"So like dad?" Diego asked.
Five took a deep breath before turning his glare to Diego, "Sure Diego," he smiled sarcastically at our brother.
"Ok, how do we make sure they're not a threat?" Klaus asked from his spot perched on a chair with his feet underneath him. I'm just waiting for him to fall.
Five huffed, "Were you not listening to a word I said?"
"No, I was, but what you said made this much sense," He held up his right hand and made his index finger and thumb very close together.
"If you had a brain maybe you would understand," Five teleported away. For God's sake.
Allison pinched the bridge of her nose, Klaus looked confused, Luther huffed and crossed his arms, Diego ran a hand through his recently cut hair, I just stared at the spot Five was previously stood.
Klaus rocked forward on his feet and squeaked as he fell face-first onto the floor.
"We should look for him," Diego said uncertainly, ignoring the mess that was Klaus sprawled out on the floor looking in shock as if he hadn't been rocking back on forth on a small chair for the past 30 minutes, but made no move to do it.
"Yeah," Luther agreed.
I sighed, standing and walking up the stairs as I heard the others getting up and searching for our you-oldest brother, Five never has to know that happened, tis unimportant.
I found him in my room, now Klaus's I guess, so predictable, it's like he wasn't even trying to hi- he wasn't trying to hide, was he. Damn. "Good, took you long enough, out of the combined 10 brain cells you all share, you have the most. You coming with us or not? Could be helpful to have a strong-ass glowstick on our side?"
I snorted, "I'm coming. Since we got back, the control lessons you guys have been giving me feel like they've been helping, plus there's no way I'm letting you all go to a base potentially full of superpowered individuals, if what you said is true, without a, uh, 'strong-ass glowstick'."
A small smile pulled at the corners of his lips before he shoved it away, "Good."
I heard the others coming up onto the floor below us, they will get up to us soon, and stepped into the room and shut the door behind me.
Five looked at me questioningly.
"The others were coming, want to see how long it takes them to find you," a smile came onto both of our faces.
"Couple years maybe?" Five guessed causing me to laugh.
"Sh, sh, sh, sh," I whispered, a finger on my lips as I heard the light footsteps of Klaus begin to climb the steps. We both fell silent and we listened with silent breath as Klaus's footsteps faded out as he got further away.
I pressed my lips together to stop me from bursting out in laughter as the others all followed in his footsteps. The second they were out of ear-shot I burst out laughing, Five laughing silently too.
When they finally found us it was only because I had accidentally sniggered as they were talking worriedly about how they were worried Five and I had been kidnapped. Stupid emotions.
Diego flung open the door his mouth wide open and the second he saw both of us laughing, he looked somehow more offended as he mouthed, "The audacity."
The family bonding to get ourselves less emotionally constipated apparently worked as I heard Five finally lose it as he full-on cackled.
Luther leant further into the room, shock and concern on his face as he asked Five, "Are you okay?"
Klaus laughed at himself and the others as he looked at thin air next to him, presumably a ghost, "I feel betrayed."
Five quickly straightened out, all traces of laughter gone, "So are we leaving then?" Klaus opened his mouth, "I'll explain on the ride there!"
Klaus smiled and nodded quickly.
"Also, seriously Klaus? Put some damn shoes on you heathen!" Allison yelled.
