April 1, 2019
The Umbrella Academy had been destroyed. Everything was in ruins. The whole world was destroyed. There was no life in sight for miles around. Suddenly, a light appeared where the Umbrella Academy had stood before the end of the world. A person jumped out of the light portal and landed in front of the destroyed Umbrella Academy.
It was a young woman who looked like a young girl, but appearances deceive appearances.
She straightened up and had the biggest fright of her life. Shocked, she stared at the destroyed Umbrella Academy. "What ... what happened here?" she whispered in shock. Then she turned around and was startled again. Not only was the Umbrella Academy destroyed, but also the whole area. Everything was in ruins. Everywhere you looked, everything was full of fire, ash, and smoke. Even the moon was destroyed. It was the end of the world. "I have to get out of here and find out what happened," she said quietly to herself. She simply couldn't bear to look at it any longer. It was so horrible to watch. (Why on earth had this happened?) (What had happened here, anyway?) There was only one way to find out.
She concentrated on her supernatural power. Time seemed to slow down and stand still for a moment. Then time began to rewind.
Suddenly, she landed behind a curtain a few meters from the stage in the concert hall. The young woman looked around attentively. Violin music reached her ears. She recognized Vanya Hargreeves at the front of the first desk. She played beautifully. For a moment, the young woman forgot everything around her. But then something completely unexpected happened, Vanya stood up and hurled a wave of energy around her.
The young woman quickly erected a protective shield around herself, which also made her invisible at the same time.
(What was going on here?) the young woman asked herself in her thoughts. Paralyzed, she continued to watch the spectacle. The concert began to escalate. Suddenly, cloaked figures with guns appeared, smashing everything to pieces. (An apocalypse?) (Why is that?) asked the woman in amazement. Everyone left the concert hall in a hurry. The Hargreeves adoptive siblings were the only ones left in the concert hall.
Vanya's powers seemed to be getting out of control. Suddenly, Five appeared as if out of nowhere. Next, Klaus came running excitedly into the concert hall. Followed by Ben, who was a ghost. Klaus activated his powers and Ben appeared. Ben didn't hesitate and again used his tentacles from another dimension to take out the men with the weapons. The rest of the family was happy to see Ben again, but the moment was short-lived.
The next moment, Diego lunged at a woman who attacked him. Vanya's strength increased more and more. Slowly, Vanya's clothes and violin began to turn white. The building began to shake and crumble. Diego let go of the woman, who looked very battered, and returned to the others. Then everything happened very quickly. What the young woman saw the next moment took her breath away.
She saw Vanya, who was in the process of draining her siblings, except Allison, of their powers through some kind of tentacle. The brothers had no chance of surviving until Allison crept up behind them and held a gun to the back of Vanya's head. But Allison didn't have the heart to kill Vanya. Instead, she slammed past Vanya's head so that Vanya only went down unconscious.
Vanya's powers exploded upwards as a fireball, destroying the moon. Five, Luther and Klaus were released. The moon was cracked by Vanya's powers. Thick chunks of the moon broke loose and headed towards the earth at breakneck speed. The young woman would have expected anything that could destroy the world. But definitely not the Hargreeves adoptive siblings, who were apparently the cause of all the chaos. It all happened incredibly fast.
All she could see was the siblings holding hands and the five of them disappearing with them through time and space, and not a minute too soon. The next moment they were gone, a destructive wave engulfed the stage. Straight towards the young woman.
At the last second, the young woman used her strength and withstood the wave. »Mundum. Te ipsum restitue. Finis mundi hic esse non potest.« she said quite loudly. A glow emanated from her hands and resisted the end of the world. Then everything went white.
Flashback: A long time ago
When Sir Reginald Hargreeves stepped off a ship, he spotted the D.S. Umbrella Manufacturing Co. The sign depicted an umbrella. It was for sale. Sir Reginald Hargreeves quickly went inside. He looked for the clerk. Reginald entered an empty entrance hall, but found no one. "Are you looking for someone in particular?" asked a female voice from the shadows. Sir Reginald listened and raised his eyes.
A middle-aged woman emerged from the shadows. About fifty years old. Her long brown hair adorned her narrow face. Her skin was very pale and flawless, which didn't happen very often. Her eyes shone as intensely turquoise as the sea on a clean beach. Reginald had the feeling that the turquoise-blue eyes could see to the very depths of his soul. Her eyes were so intense, they would mesmerize anyone. Something about the woman was not normal.
He pulled himself together again. "Yes, I'm looking for the seller. I'd like to buy this property." Reginald got straight to the point. "You are?" the woman asked directly. "Oh yes, that's right, I haven't even introduced myself yet. Reginald Hargreeves is my name. I'm sorry, how rude of me." Reginald introduced himself. "The salesman is sitting in his office. In that corridor over there. Second door on the right." the woman replied curtly. "Thank you," said Sir. Hargreeves curtly as well. The woman disappeared into one of the other corridors. Reginald followed the directions towards the office.
After a detailed conversation in the office, he was about to sign his purchase contract, but one thing made Reginald wonder. "Em. What do you mean, only half the property?" asked Sir. Hargreeves somewhat uncomprehendingly. But before the salesman could say anything back, the door opened and the woman from earlier entered. "He's only selling his half. My half of the property remains my half of the estate." she said as if on cue. "What does that mean now?" Reginald asked, still uncomprehending. "It means that you'll be sharing the estate with me for the next few years. Let's see how long they'll put up with me. In recent years, there have been frequent changes." the woman explained succinctly.
"May I introduce Ms Nora Soraya. She's right, by the way. If one owner were to die before selling his half of the property. It will automatically pass to the other who is still alive to gain full ownership of the estate." the salesman confirmed Ms. Soraya's statement. "Don't worry. I'm not that bad. I'm already looking forward to working together. Besides, I'm not here that often. I'm only here on special occasions or when someone wants to sell their other half. I'm kind of like the estate manager." Ms Soraya said discreetly. Then she left the office, leaving a bewildered Sir Reginald Hargreeves behind.
November 25, 1963
In the FBI building, Vanya's forces were raging out of control. All the FBI agents who had been in the building at the time were dead. Allison, Diego, and Klaus lay unconscious on the floor. Only one of them managed to get through to Vanya. It was Ben in his ghostly form. He approached Vanya and dived into her body. Into the deepest depths of Vanya's consciousness.
Ben walked down a flight of stairs that echoed a memory from the Umbrella Academy. Then he came to the dining room. There was a white violin on the table. Ben looked into the holes in the violin and saw Vanya lying under a staircase. Ben went to her and tried to comfort his sister. At some point, Ben began to dissolve. Vanya took Ben in her arms one last time. Before he dissolved completely. At that moment, Vanya came to and everything around her calmed down.
April 2, 2019, Umbrella Timeline
A young woman in her twenties entered Ben's gravesite. She stood directly in front of it and concentrated on her powers. Suddenly, glowing blue sparks rose above Ben's gravesite. The particles of light came together and formed a shape over Ben's grave. Then there was a bright flash and a person was lying right next to Ben's grave. "What the ...? Huh? Where am I? What happened?", the person asked, looking around in confusion.
"Ben Hargreeves welcome back to the living," the young woman said kindly. "What...? Who are they?" asked Ben, totally perplexed. "Don't you remember me? I always came to you on your birthdays. I always had a suitable gift for each of you. Which was individually tailored to you. Always, and you were always happy about it. By the way, I was always at your training sessions too." she gave him a little food for thought.
Ben tried to remember. It took him a few minutes. Ben had just been brought back to life from the dead, although he hadn't thought that was possible. And in his own human body to boot. (Who was that woman again?) Those intense, turquoise-blue eyes stared at him knowingly.
Slowly, the memories came back. "You're ... Nora Soraya." Ben replied. "Right," Nora said with a smile. "Now come on, we have an important mission to do." Nora got straight to the point. She helped Ben to his feet and pulled him towards the house.
Ben followed her, still slightly dazed. He had to get used to it again. "Tell me, Nora. What kind of mission do we have to do? I mean, I'm just back among the living and I need a moment to settle back in." Ben asked.
"Your siblings have done a lot of things to the timeline that shouldn't have happened. I thought Five would be a lot smarter about time travel. But no. Instead, he does the stupidest thing he could ever have done. The two of us have to correct that now. I'll tell you the plan during the preparations," Nora said, a little stressed.
Slowly, Ben's memories of his time in the past as a ghost came flooding back. "Oh you, Sh****! You're so right! Okay, what's the plan?" Ben now asked with realization. "Good attitude Ben. So the plan is this ..." Nora began to tell us.
April 2, 2019, Sparrow timeline
After fighting the commission, Five and his family managed to obtain a time travel case. Five set the date. Then the Hargreeves siblings held hands. Blue light enveloped the siblings and they were gone. The family traveled back through time and space.
They ended up back at their familiar academy. But on closer inspection, they noticed that something was different. A picture of Ben was hanging above the fireplace and not of Five, as the family remembered.
Afterwards there was a fight with the Sparrow Academy. The family fled outside. In a park and took a break. After a heated discussion, they stayed at the Hotel Obsidian.
2019 Umbrella timeline
"You think that will work, Nora?", Ben asked Nora a little nervously. "But of course. I've done this before. Of course, it works. Trust me." Nora said enthusiastically. Ben held a piece of paper in his hand and read the text on it again carefully. It should come across smoothly. "Ben, stay relaxed, it won't hurt. You just have to stay focused and deliver the message. Then we have to prepare the second point of the plan." Nora said with total confidence. "Okay, fine," Ben said to himself. He took another deep breath and exhaled again. "Ready?", Nora asked Ben with a smile. "Yes, I'll be ready then," said Ben excitedly.

Ben got a brief jolt after a training session at the Sparrow Academy. His eyes lit up briefly and he regained consciousness. He was alone in his room. That was good, so he didn't have to meet anyone who would complicate the plan. Ben walked out of the academy as if remote-controlled, without anyone noticing.
Ben walked to the park and spotted the group from the Umbrella Academy. That same group looked questioningly at Sparrow Ben. "What are you doing here?" asked Five suspiciously. "I'm delivering a message from Nora Soraya." Ben began. "Why should we listen to you?", Five asked, still suspicious. "First of all to Five: Five, Nora is quite disappointed in you. She thought you were smarter when it came to time travel, but I guess she was wrong. You saw what you did." Ben said and paused for breath. "What do you want from us, and how do you even know that?" Luther asked somewhat aggressively.
Ben didn't let himself be put off and simply carried on with his text. No one could have known that Ben from the Umbrella Academy was talking to them. Ben didn't have that much time, by the way. To explain everything in detail. It was short-lived.
"Now to everyone. You're all in pretty big trouble. You can't get out of this mess on your own. The Umbrella timeline no longer exists for you. Unless you were to correct the mistakes you made in the past. But you no longer have the suitcase. Nevertheless, there is a solution for you. If you want to go back to your timeline, you have to do the following. Firstly, find Nora Soraya in this timeline. Later, someone will come and pick you up with a suitcase. See you later. End of message." said Umbrella Ben, who was stuck in Sparrow Ben's body. Then he quickly ran off.
On the way, another jolt went through Sparrow Ben and he looked confused. (Where was he?) (What was he doing out here?) He could have sworn he'd been in his room until just now.
The members of the Umbrella Academy look after Sparrow Ben uncomprehendingly. "What was that all about?" asked Luther, who was the first to regain his voice. The others start after him, still perplexed. "I have absolutely no idea," said Allison. "Somehow this Ben seemed different to me. How does he know so much about the time continuum anyway?" asked Five skeptically. "Something's not quite right here. By the way, he said that we should find Nora Soraya. Who is that anyway?" Diego asked suspiciously.
"Nora Soraya. Don't you remember this woman?" Viktor asked the group. "Nah, doesn't tell me anything right now," said Five. "Nora Soraya was this nice woman who always gave us a great present for each of us individually for our birthdays. By the way, she had also trained us." said Viktor, remembering that. "Right, now that you mention it, I remember it too," said Allison.
2019 Umbrella timeline
"It worked, Nora! You were right, it didn't hurt at all." Ben said enthusiastically to Nora. "Well, you see, a little trust can go a long way. Now we have to prepare the next phase of the plan." Nora said optimistically.
Ben had earlier, with Nora's help. Projected his consciousness onto his Sparrow "self" Ben from the Sparrow timeline and sent a message to his siblings. True, he really hadn't understood that much of what was written on the note. Five was actually the expert on time travel, but Nora also seemed to have an idea about time travel.
"Okay, what's the next step?", Ben asked Nora. "Operation: rescue the Hargreeves siblings. But they still have a long way to go before that. They still have a lot of mistakes to iron out and we two have to get them out of them. Before the Sparrow timeline is destroyed and you with it." Nora said seriously but also a little annoyed. "Could you please explain that to me in more detail?" Ben asked.
"I'll explain that to you later. You can rest for now, Ben, and get back to life. I have to project my consciousness onto the Sparrow timeline to have a serious word with your siblings." Nora said, a little annoyed about the whole situation. "Okay, and thanks for understanding," Ben thanked Nora. Then he explored the house again, which he hadn't seen for a while.
Nora went into the living room instead and was horrified. She saw Pogo impaled dead. She couldn't concentrate like that. She thought to herself for a moment and wondered whether Pogo could still be important.
2019 Sparrow timeline
In the Hotel Obsidian, the Umbrella members were sitting at one of the tables and discussing things. Suddenly, someone appeared behind Five.
It was a woman in her twenties. Her hair was brown and long. A few purple highlights accentuated her long straight hair.
"Nice to see you again. You really messed up a lot." said the woman behind Five. Startled, they all turned to her and stared into her very familiar turquoise-blue eyes.
"Ah, man! I was startled. At first, I thought you were the manager!" Diego exclaimed, startled. But he calmed down again.
In fact, Nora had a very similar sense of humor to the manager. But hers was a little more caring than the manager's.
"Nora Soraya! ... How do you know who we are? I mean, we're from a different timeline." Viktor asked, confused.
"I know that you are from another timeline. I have ways and means to transfer my consciousness to one of my other "I's" via the various parallel timelines and to speak to you briefly. But we don't have much time. It gets exhausting in the long run." Nora answered the question.
"Okay, just as secretive as Dad," said Klaus. "So you got the message from Ben?", Nora said casually. "Wait, that was your work?", Allison asked, puzzled. "Yes, cleverly summarized. Allison. It would be better not to bring it up with Ben from the Sparrow's. He doesn't know anything about it himself." Nora said with a fake smile.
"But how...?" faltered Diego. "All in good time," said Nora calmly. "Okay, back to the original topic. How do you Nora think we can get back home?" asked Five, who had regained his composure.
"First of all, you've gotten yourself into a lot of trouble, and you're not thinking about the consequences. You were wrong. I'm very disappointed in you. Especially you five. You should know all about time travel. Shouldn't you? But you didn't follow any of the rules and instead did the stupidest thing you could possibly do on a time travel trip! Take a look around you! You can see the result in front of you. The rest of you may not have known, but it would have done you good to have this important information! Do you realize what you've actually done?" Nora gave the siblings a lecture.
"A telling off, what should we have expected?" Klaus said. The others sighed at Klaus' comment and shook their heads. "Okay, yes, we messed up, and we can really see and feel it. But it happened. The important thing is. How can we straighten this out?" Viktor tried calmly. "Okay, guys, we don't have much time. I won't be here in a minute, so here's the plan. You have to travel back in time again, but this time you have to stick to the rules. Do you understand?" asked Nora Ernst. Everyone nodded and listened intently.
"So firstly: Nobody, absolutely nobody, is allowed to see you. Secondly: Normally, let things take their course. But in your case, you need to stop your other "I's" from doing the things that have already happened for you. Is anything unclear?" Nora asked the Umbrella group.
"Yes, what mistakes do we have to correct exactly?", asked Diego. "Think carefully!", said Five, now also a little annoyed. "Five must be getting fed up with having to deal with paradox psychoses all the time," said Nora with an ironic smile. "Yup. That pretty much hits the nail on the head." Five confirmed sarcastically with a sigh.
"First: Harlan must be stopped from drowning himself in the lake. Vanya must not revive him. Because if that happens, your existence will be jeopardized. Secondly: Under no circumstances are you to make contact with Sir Reginald Hargreeves! Otherwise, you will not be adopted! Third: The problem of five. Luther and Five. You shouldn't even visit the Five in the adult body. Do you understand that?" Nora said bitterly.
"Fine, but how do we do it without a paradox psychosis?", Luther asked.
"Quite simply, there are two options. First: We let our other siblings do it, so we're not around ourselves. Or second: we have to intercept them in the alley year after year and take them with us. Before this story even emerges, and deal with the paradox psychosis until we figure out a way to stop it all." Five named the possibilities.
"Five, you can do it after all. What's the saying? You learn from your mistakes," said Nora appreciatively. "Okay, but now we just need a suitcase to put the plan into action," said Five. "All in good time. The messenger told you that someone would come and pick you up with a suitcase at the right time. The question now is, which of the two options do you choose?" Nora asked with a mysterious smile. Nora didn't want to reveal, yet, that Ben from the Umbrella Academy was back among the living. This was going to be a surprise. "That's a really good and difficult question," said Allison.
"There's one more important thing to consider. It's about Ben. He has to rescue Vanya in the FBI building. This thing of a ghost doesn't really change much. But it's important, otherwise there's another paradox." Nora explained.
"I think we'll go for the first option," said Five. "Good, then we have our plan now. Next question. Who takes over when?" asked Diego. "You'll have to discuss this further without me. My time is up now. End of message." Nora said her last words before turning and leaving.
Just as Nora had taken a few steps, a jolt went through her body and the Nora from the Sparrow timeline had regained full consciousness. The Umbrella Group looked after Nora for a moment. Then they turned around again and looked at each other questioningly.
Then Lila joined them at the table. "Did I miss anything?", Lila asked after a close inspection of the group. "Yes, you did," said Five, honestly but sarcastically. "Lila, sit down first, then we'll tell you," said Diego. Lila silently followed Diego's request. "Okay, out with the language! What did I miss?" Lila asked directly. "Well, it was like this..." Viktor began to recount what had been discussed earlier. ...
2019 Umbrella timeline
Nora Soraya was sitting on the sofa with her eyes closed. After a while, she opened her eyes and got her bearings. She was still sitting in the living room. It could have been that another Nora from a different timeline had also taken her over briefly. Nora got up from the sofa and went into the kitchen to make herself some tea. Robot Grace was also restored and was cleaning the house. But Nora hadn't expected that another mistake would make things even worse.
