"𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙇 are you doing here?"

Hazel had gotten up from the floor, and was now standing before me and Five. "I really, really, don't understand," I stated, taking a small step back from him. "Well, I can understand why you might feel that way, you know..."

"Well, you attacked our house, tried to kill our family, and kidnapped my brother," Five finished, referring to Klaus. I shook the image of Klaus walking down the hall, a broken look in his eyes, out of my head.

"Well, there's not much I can do about the past," began Hazel. "Don't forget I'm not the only killer in this room. You got your own bloody history, pal. Speaking of which, that job you did in Calhoun, that shit's legendary. Even you, (Y/N), I've heard, and now just seen what you can do. Can't believe I'm actually sitting here talking to you, after all-"

"Hazel, why are you here?" Five interrupted.

"Finally, that was dragging on for too long," I mumbled under my breath.

"Well, I'm, you know-" Hazel was once again cut off by Diego, who walked back into the room. He kicked him in the back, starting to beat him up. "Diego, stop!" I exclaimed. Diego didn't listen, continuing to repeatedly punch and kick Hazel. "You know, before you kill him, you might want to hear what he has to say," I said.

Diego still ignored me. "I'm going to kill you for what you did to Patch," he threatened, pulling out one of his various knives. Diego kept going, Hazel barely even trying to defend himself.

"Or don't. See how that goes," Five said, leaning back in his seat. I sighed, knowing Diego wouldn't stop, not with anything verbally. So, I took a seat next to Five. I looked back, and saw Diego stab Hazel in the thigh with a knife. Five and I inhaled sharply. "That's gotta hurt," Five said, staring sympathetically at Hazel's leg. "Should we intervene?" I asked, leaning against the table.

"I mean, maybe? Let's see how far this goes."
We continued to watch Diego punch and kick at Hazel, until we noticed Diego baring his teeth, moving towards him. Five put down his margarita down as we both stood up, him teleporting as I tossed him a vase. He caught it and smashed it against Diego's head. He fell to the ground, unconscious.

"I draw the line at biting."

"Hazel, whatever you came here to say, I suggest you make it quick, before he comes around," I suggested, gesturing to Diego. Five walked back to sit beside me, picking up his drink once again.

"I left my partner, quit the Commission, came to volunteer," Hazel said.

"For what, exactly?" I asked.

"To help stop the apocalypse," Hazel answered.

"Hm," Five chuckled, taking a sip of his drink.

"What on earth could be so funny to you right now?" Hazel asked Five. "Before I answer that, why do want to help us?" Five questioned. "Let's just say I have vested interest in a doughnut shop," Hazel said. "Well, I hate to break it to you, pal, but you're a day late and a dollar short. The fact that you're here right now means, without a shadow of a doubt, the apocalypse is over," Five said, a happy smile on his face. "Really? How do you know?" Hazel asked.

"The mark is dead. Found him this morning. You were the last known unknown left in this equation."

"Shit, really?" Hazel asked, laughter coming from his mouth. "Mm-hmm. And if you're out, then Hellrider ain't riding," Five said, smiling again. "All right then! Mind if I join you two?" Hazel sat in between us, picking up the blender and drinking some of Five's leftover margarita. I rolled my eyes, walking away. "One second," I heard Five say to Hazel, I heard him teleport and he landed in front of me. "Where are you going?"

"Well, if it's our last day, might as well spend some time on the roof. Plenty of good memories up there."

"Hey, we solved the apocalypse, we saved the world," Five said, that dumb smile still on his face. I turned away. "Well, I really don't think so. You might think Harold Jenkins causes the apocalypse, but there's more to it. There has to be, and you're not seeing it."

"How would you know? Have you been studying this for the past forty years of your life?" Five snapped.

"I don't need to have years of studying to know something is wrong," I said, beginning to walk away.

"Wait," Five called out, grabbing my wrist. "I don't want you to go. If these are our last few hours, I want to spend them with you." I sighed, walking faster to get to the roof. I thought he finally left me alone once I got to the roof, until Five teleported right in front of my face. He walked towards me until I was backed up to a wall. I didn't protest when he wrapped his arms around me. He pressed a kiss to my cheek. "I can't spend my last day without you."

We pulled away from the hug, pressing our foreheads together. "Fine, but at least stay up here with me for some time." He nodded, and we sat down, just enjoying each other's presence.

𝙁𝙄𝙑𝙀 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙄 𝙒𝘼𝙇𝙆𝙀𝘿 into the clothing store. He told me he needed to return something before we could spend the afternoon at Griddy's. He put down his duffle once we reached the center of the store. "Do you mind leaving us alone for a moment?" Five asked.

I held back a giggle as I gave him a thumbs up and backed into another aisle.

"I bet it feels good to be back," Five said, placing Dolores back onto her display, "amongst your friends. And it's okay, you can...say it. We always were an unlikely pair. But, I have Eight now. And (Y/N) really is amazing." I smiled at that sentiment. "I'll never forget you Dolores," he said, taking one last look as he picked up his bag.

"You ready?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said, letting out a sigh, before teleporting us away.

𝙁𝙄𝙑𝙀 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙄 𝙎𝘼𝙏 at Griddy's talking about random topics, whatever came to mind.

"That was hilarious! I can't belie-"

I was interrupted by a loud noise in the distance. "Woah, what was that?" I asked. Five and I both ran outside, not bothering to pay for our coffees. "Is it just me, or do you think something bad just happened?" Five just stared in the distance, holding a newspaper in his.

"What's that for?"

"Let's go to the Academy, maybe we'll find out there," Five suggested, ignoring my question about the newspaper.

"Okay." Five grabbed my hand and teleported us away. I opened my eyes to see the Academy in shambles before us. It was practically just pieces brick and wood shoved in a pile and set on fire. There stood Luther, Diego, Allison, and Klaus atop the mess.

"Guys! This is it. The apocalypse is still on. The world ends today," Five said, walking towards them, newspaper in hand.

"I thought you said it was over," Luther said.

"I was wrong, okay? (Y/N) was trying to convince me earlier, but I didn't believe her. No offense," Five said, turning to me.

"None taken," I said, rolling my eyes.

"This newspaper, I found it in the future the day I got stuck. The headline hasn't changed," Five stated, holding up the newspaper.

"No, that doesn't mean anything. Time could have been altered since that newspaper came out this morning," Diego denied.

"You're not listening to me. When I found it, I assumed this place came down along with everything else," Five explained, referring to the Academy. "But here we are. The Moon's still shining, the Earth is in one piece, but not the Academy."

"I'm confused," Klaus said, snatching the newspaper from Five's hands.

"Then listen to me you idiot!" Five exclaims. "Vanya destroys the Academy before the apocalypse. I thought Harold Jenkins was the cause, but he was the fuse. Vanya is the bomb. Vanya causes the apocalypse."

"We have to find her," I stated. All of the sudden, bright lights flashed over our heads. I looked up to see helicopters flying over our heads.

"We gotta go, now," Diego said.

"Regroup at the Super Star, go!" Luther ordered. The six of us dispersed, preparing ourselves for what was about to happen next.

—𝘼𝙐𝙏𝙃𝙊𝙍'𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏𝙀!
That was one long ass chapter. I am very sad to say that I expect there to be 1-2 more chapters left in this story. That also means the sequel will come out after Season Two is released. Which is expected towards the end of this year :( But, don't worry. I plan on starting a preferences book, and I wanted you guys to vote on a topic. Here are your options:

The Umbrella Academy (obviously)

Harry Potter

Star Wars

Marvel

The Maze Runner

Please vote in the comments! Also, don't feel like you have to vote for TUA just because this book is about Five. I would much rather go into other topics, but I left the option open. See you all in the next chapter!

QOTD: If you watch Doctor Who, have you seen the new episodes? Opinions? (if not, do you guys have Disney+? fav show?)

AOTD: Those DW episodes are sooo much better than last season, I love Jodie, but bringing back You Know Who was an amazing decision. Plus, the actor is great at their job. Also, yes to Disney+. The Mandalorian is awesomeeee
