Dakota pulled her jacket over her long sleeved shirt as she walked town the hallway and into the main hall where a few people were littered by the tables, chatting amongst themselves when she heard someone yelling.
"Float you, Sinclair." Jasper snapped before he turned and left which made Dakota furrow her eyebrows at the scene. Dakota decided to walk towards Jasper and slung an arm over his shoulder before looking back at Sinclair with an aplogetic smile.
"Get lost, Dakota." Jasper breathed out through gritted teeth and pushed her arm off of his shoulder. Jasper began to walk away from her, but Dakota stepped forward again and grabbed onto his arm.
"Come on, Jaspy. Don't be the party pooper." Dakota cooed at her friend and swung her arm over his shoulder again and pulled him into her.
She heard Jasper let out a tiny chuckle. "There's the Jasper I know. All smiles."
But just as fast Jasper had let out a tiny bit of hapiness, it was soon covered up with a frown and a shove. "No games, Dakota-"
Dakota had grabbed his hand forcefully, "Hey, you do not get to push me away!" She told him. "I get it, you loved Maya and she meant alot to you. But you cannot hold onto her forever. She wouldn't want this." She spoke as she took his face in her hands. "She would want you to be happy. She loved to see you smile, Jasp." She told him and watched as his eyes pooled with tears and he blinked back, making the tears fall onto his pale cheeks.
"I'm uh, gonna go," He muttered under his breath before turning to leave but he stopped in his tracks and turned to face her again. "Thank you, Kota. You're a good friend."
"I'm always here." She smiled at him as she watched him nod off and left her alone until a very perky Raven walked over, a smile plastered on her face.
"Kota!" She called out and Dakota turned to face her when she opened her arms and wrapped them around her.
"Uh, Raven.." She furrowed her eyebrows as the girl continued to hold her. "What's up with you this morning? Get laid?"
Raven rolled her eyes but the smile never left her face. "No, silly. My eyes have been open, Dakota. Everything is so much better now." She said, and Dakota narrowed her eyes down at her friend.
"Did you steal some of Jasper's stash?" Dakota leaned in as she whispered and inspected the burnette brown doe eyes. "Whatever you're on, i want some of it." She snickered.
Raven rolled her eyes. "I'm not on drugs, Dakota! I'm completely fine- I'm better than fine, actually."
"How's your leg doing, Rae?" Dakota questioned as she narrowed her eyes down at her leg, which was free of the brace that she usually wore to help her walk.
"It's fine. I don't feel anything."
Dakota raised her eyebrows at her. "That's really comforting, Raven."
Raven looked right through her friend. It was like she was totally brain washed. "C'mon Dakota. When have you last actually smiled?" She lifted a hand to pinch her cheeks which Dakota swatted her hand away the very second.
"Yeah, don't do that." Dakota said sternly.
"It only takes 43 muscles to frown, and 17 to smile. You keep frowning like that and you're going to get wrinkles." Raven pointed out with a sparkle in her eye. "You can be happy again, Kota," Raven pulled out the chip out of Dakota's jacket and Dakota stared at her.
"How did you-"
"You just have to take the chip." Raven smiled slightly. "It's that simple, and all your pain will go away."
"Right-Um. I actually have somewhere to be, i'll catch up with you and we can talk about whatever your on, okay?" Dakota nodded down at her and walked away but Raven watched her.
"We've lost her,"
"No.. we will get her on our side." Raven looked over at the tall burnette that stood beside her with a smile on her face. Raven's big brown eyes focused back on the brunette who was walking out of the hall.

"Has anyone followed you?" Marcus asked as soon as Dakota entered the room where Harper was sitting down on the table.
Miller had just walked in from behind Dakota and she grinned. "Nope, just this guy named Miller. Heard he's a crazy lunatic." She replied with a smile as Miller playfully hit her arm.
"Anyone follow you?" She asked, directing her question towards her father.
"No, i'm good. Any word from Octavia?" Kane asked Harper.
"We've been scanning different channels all morning. Nothing. I mean, whether she's out of range--"
"Or they already got her." Miller spoke up which earned a punch from Dakota.
Kane leaned forward slightly, catching Dakota's attention. "There are alot of reasons why she might have gone dark." He told her with determination when Dakota's face fell. Dakota nodded, even though she wasn't completely convinced.
"I've been out there patrolling for the last 3 months. I know this area better than any Grounder," Miller told Kane. "With Dakota by my side, we can past the blockade, and look for-"
"Guys," Harper interrupted, "Listen to this." She unplugged a wire and Pike's voice rang out through the small speaker we had.
"Results of the morning's missions inventory was sobering. In no way do we currently have the ammo for an extended series of firefights, not even close."
"So what's Plan B?" Bellamy asked.
"Our lookouts say the largest grounder encampment is in this valley, so we deploy an assault team in Rover one, and we do as much damage as we can with automatic weapons."
Hannah's voice joined them, "And they'll run back and make a run for reinforcements."
"I'm counting on that. The only way there and back is over this ridge. Now, we can bottleneck their warriors and pick them off."
"We got firepower for that?" Bellamy questioned.
"We won't need it. We have a dozen concussive antipersonnel devices in our armoury. I've already got a weapons man rigging them with a remote trigger. We load the APDs into the rover and mine the field before we attack. After we strike, we lure their reinforcements onto the ridge, and once we have enough Grounders in the killing box-"
Bellamy finished his sentence. "We detonate. It'll buy us some time, but..."
"Time's what we need. We move at dawn."
Miller punched the wall out of frustration as Marcus started coming up with a plan of action. "All right. We need to disable that rover. If they take it out, it doesn't matter how many Grounders they kill, 10 times that number will descend on Arkadia, and no one will survive."
Harper was doubtful as to whether his plan would work or not. "You got any idea how we're gonna stop them?"
"I might," He said, a glimmer in his eye.

"Thank you for meeting us," Kane stood up and looked over at Pike who just walked in.
"I hope you two are ready to negotiate the terms and conditions of your surrender." Dakota raised an eyebrow at Pike as a devilish grin came up onto her lips.
"On the Ark, you taught your students about the promise of our future, about the responsibility our descendants would bear when they finally set foot on the ground," Kane said.
"We didn't start this war, but you can be damn sure i intend to finish it," Pike replied, frustatrated that Dakota's father was still not cooperating with his decisions.
"What happened to you, Charles?" Kane asked and looked at him like he didn't even recongize the man infront of him. Dakota sighed, knowing what her father felt.
"You committed treason. Both of you. And I need to forget that you, Miss Kane are assoicated with an enemy clan." Pike shook his head. "You both acted against your own people. Don't stand there and try and take the high road with me. It's demeaning."
"We did nothing wrong," Kane shook his head.
"Nothing that i can prove yet. Sinclair will give you up. It's only a matter of time. It's over Marcus, Dakota."
"Is it?" Kane whispered as an alarm started to sound through the Ark.
"All available guards to lock-up."
Pike turned back after calling his gaurds to go deal with the situation. "I don't suppose you two know anything about this."
"As a matter of fact, we do," Kane responded. He took out the electric baton, pressing it against Pike's side. He groaned and fell to the floor.
"You left us no choice," He muttered, punching him straight in the face. Dakota hurried to get the rope from out of her jacket and started to tie Pike's hands together and get him into the Rover.
"Come on," Dakota yelled to her father as he quickly got into the driver's side of the Rover and Dakota closed the door as she hurried to get in the passenger's side. Marcus put his foot on the gas and they sped through Arkadia. The Rover was about to slam through the front gate when Bellamy and the guards got in the way, aiming their guns.
"Get the hell out of the way, Bellamy!" Kane yelled as Dakota had a look of horror on her face.
"Should've killed me yourself," Pike, who had awoken from the back, muttered. Dakota looked over at her father when he pulled the key from the engine.
"What are you doing?" Dakota yelled over at her father as guards opened the doors and yanked them out of their seats. Dakota was shoved against the Rover as her hands were put in handcuffs. She turned her head to look over at Bellamy, who's eyes were already on her.

"As you know, the terms of martial law and of the Exodus Charter give me both latitude and ultimate authority in determining your punishment. Do any of you have anything to say for yourselves?"
Marcus and Dakota were sat on chairs, hands restrained. Dakota looked down at rhe grey table, feeling all too familiar with this situation. Kane looked up at Pike with a smile on his face. "I admire your adherence to the rule of law-- i really do-- but these are times when we have to look beyond the riles, to realize they were stablished to serve a world of the past, not of the future. I beg you one last time, to see the world as it is, not as it was or as you want it to be."
"And I hope you believe that if i thought for one minute that turning myself over to the enemy would secure the safety of our people," Pike put his hands on the table, "I would do it, but only a deluded man would believe that, and only a guility man would try and tell him so."
He stood back in his original position, staring the two of them down. "And you, Miss Kane?" He glanced over at her. "Where's the girl wo was so gentle and passionate?"
Dakota continued to look down at the ground, "She left when the council floated my mother,"
"You're mother wouldn't like what you've become." Pike told her.
Dakota's eyes shot up in hatred as red flashed before her eyes. "Don't you dare speak of my mother, you fucking-"
"Dakota." Marcus stopped her, telling her with his eyes that she needed to calm down.
"Marcus Kane and Dakota Kane, for the crimes of treason, kidnapping, and attempting murder, i hereby sentence you to death."
Dakota's eyes went to the floor and her tears had finally escaped and poured down her cheeks as Bellamy looked over at her with tears in his eyes and fear washed over his features. "Take them," Pike ordered.
Guards roughly grabbed Dakota's arms and Dakota glared over in the cold eyes of Pike. She swung her body to the side and swung her head backwards, knocking her skull into the guards nose but her fight was short-lived when a shock baton hit the small of her back making her legs give out underneath her as she let out a cry of pain. Dakota's eyes welled up with tears as she shot a glance over to Bellamy, who turned away as soon as he met eyes with her. His eyes were glassy, and a tear escaped his eye as he turned his back and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"You can't do this to me!" Dakota screamed out as her feet tried to gain her footing, but her feet only failed her and gave out once again when another bolt of electricity flowed through her body and sent a piercing stab through her spine.
"Keep that shock baton with you when handling her, She's a fighter." Pike's last words flooded her ears when the guards roughly grabbed a hold of her shoulder and pushed her forward, forcing her out of the room and walk down the hallway.
You hear something shattering in the background? Yeah, that's my heart.
