Shortly after the attack on the village, Bellamy and his group were returning to Arkadia with Dakota leaning on Monty's lap. She's been unconscious the whole way back, mumbling things in her sleep and twitching. From beside Monty, Bellamy sat quietly with his head down trying to hide the unshed tears in his eyes. It was obvious to everyone in the group that Monroe was one of his friends; she had been by his side since this war had began and they had fought together. It was just another loss to add to the number that had come and gone in his life.

Upon their arrival in Arkadia, Dakota had been taken to medical where she had rested for over 4 hours and the sun finally rose in the sky as she awoken. Abby walked over and smiled at her.

"You know it's dangerous for you to be here, Dakota." Abby frowned as she approached her.

"I know." Dakota nodded her head as she pulled up Dakota's jacket and placed a cool stethoscope on her back.

"Deep breath, Dakota." Abby asked. Dakota inhaled deeply through her nose. "And out." She said and Dakota exhaled through her mouth. Abby smiled as she put down her jacket and turned to face her.

"Your good to go. I wouldn't wonder here for much longer though. With Pike here and your situation with the Grounders. It's not safe for you to be here."

Dakota nodded her head. "Thank you, Abby." She said with a smile before she put a comforting hand on her shoulder and walked out of the medical room. Dakota took the time for a small breather to pick herself together again. She closed her eyes as she sighed.

"Dakota?" A familiar voice came up from behind her as her eyes fluttered open. Her head felt light as she looked to the side to see a dark skinned man looking over her with a joyful look on his face. She shook her head as her eyes adjusted and in front of her was none other than Jaha himself.

Dakota stirred and got up from the bed and stretched her back muscles. "What do you want?" Dakota looked at Jaha as he sent a small smile her way, but something in his eyes glimmered.

"I've come to talk to you about The City Of Light." He said as he sat down on the stool that was beside her bed.

Dakota had immediately rolled her eyes at the mention of this city. "Save it Jaha. I'm not interested in your weird shit."

"You've been through a lot, haven't you, Dakota. You're tired." Jaha looked at the younger girl as she looked for her jacket that was placed on a table. "I can fix that. I can take away the pain that you are feeling."

Dakota looked at the man for a second. "You can't take my pain away. My pain is something that you cannot fix."

Jaha smiled at the girl and took out a tiny chip from his jacket and held out his hand for her. "But it can be fixed, Dakota. It can go away. You will no longer have to feel guilty and broken anymore. You can feel whole again."

"So much pain, and suffering. She's stronger than the rest. We get her on our side and the rest will follow." A voice rang out but only hearable in Jaha's mind. He turned to look at the Lady in red, but to Dakota he had nodded at nothing.

Dakota eyed him for a moment until she reached out and grabbed the chip with her fingers. It had a blue symbol engraved on it. She looked up at him, seeing him staring at nothing again, nodding his head as if he was having a full on conversation with the wall. Dakota rolled her eyes at the foolish man and shoved the chip into her pocket and walked out of Medical.

A guard walked beside her and grabbed her arm. "Dakota Kane?" He questioned the girl.

Her breath caught up in her throat and all she got out was a small nod. "Chancellor Pike requested to see you." He announced and she instantly felt sick to her stomach but she nodded and proceeded down the hallway and to Pike's office.

Her heart hammered as the door was pushed open and she walked inside. Her eyes darted around the room in panic as Pike stood from his chair upon noticing that the door had opened and walked towards her with a smile on his face.

"Marcus' Kane's daughter," He smiled at her as he held out his hand for her to shake. She looked down at it and cleared her throat while crossing her arms over her chest. Pike nodded at the girl slightly and took back his hand, if he was upset with the girl, he didn't show it.

"How are you holding up? That acid smoke didn't sound like a good experience." Dakota stared up at him, her eye twitched slightly and she bit her tongue to stop herself from screaming a bunch of profanities at the man. She was wondering how he even knew she was there in the first place, but she guessed that one of the members from his squad had told him.

"It wasn't, sir. Two of our own died. I knew one of them." She stated as calmly as she could an Pike nodded in agreement.

"Yes, I heard. Zoe Monroe, wasn't it?" He questioned and she nodded as she put her hands behind her back.

"Yes," She confirmed, "She was a good kid, very strong solider." She nodded. "Terrible loss." She told him, her words flowing out as calmly as she could possibly muster.

"How did you manage to get to the Village? You know there isn't anyone allowed to leave." Pike gave her a somewhat of a challenging look. She stared back at him, her eyes never falling from his.

Dakota cleared her throat. "Well, Sir--" She started to speak the same time there was a light knock on the door and Bellamy walked inside making relief flood through Dakota's chest. She wasn't sure how she could answer that without telling him that she had been living with the Grounders.

"Bellamy," Pike addressed, "Please, do come in." The man did as instructed and he slowly walked inside, his steps cautious as if he might fall through the floorboards.

"Dakota and I were just having a conversation." He said. "I was just asking how she managed to be at the village when you were under attack," He asked and Bellamy cleared his throat.

"I was wondering that as well, sir." He mumbled and Dakota tilted her head slightly.

"Really?" Pike looked back at the brunette that was standing in front of him. He studied her for a moment, noticing her chosen clothing. "Dakota, care to continue?"

"We can have this conversation another time." She told him and Pike nodded at her.

"Very well, Miss Kane. You may leave now." He told her.

Dakota turned to walk out of the room, glancing over at Bellamy as he walked out. She closed the door behind her and looked down both hallways making sure no one was there to catch her eavesdropping. She put her ear on the door, listening to Pike inside

"Two of our men died today because of her- not to mention the ash poisoned soil, making the land useless." She heard Pike explain to Bellamy.

"The Grounders did that. Octavia tried to warn us." Bellamy defended, looking slightly more alert as he realized that this wasn't looking good for his sister.

"After she warned them." Pike argued and behind the door, Dakota bunched her hands into fists by her sides.

"Someone in this camp is giving her information." Pike concluded and Dakota bit down on her bottom lip as she continued to listen. "I need to know who."

"We both know who." Bellamy said quickly, looking directly at Pike.

"Kane." She heard Bellamy say through a dark voice and Dakota felt her heart drop in her chest while her finger's played with the little chip in her coat pocket.

"We don't have any proof-" Pike said.

"I can get it." Bellamy told him sharply, giving him a determined nod.

Dakota felt her heart drop about what Bellamy had just said. She immediately took her head off the door and started running down the hallway to avoid getting caught by Bellamy who walked out of the room. She needed to warn her father about what they were planning now.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, this is just a filler but I hope you guys liked it anyways. What do you guys think will happen with the chip laying in Dakota's jacket? Do you think she will take the chip?

PS. I have recently started writing a John Murphy Fanfic. It's called Nefarious Flame. Check it out if you're interested. (:
