Time stood still between the two adults as they gazed at each other in disbelief. Dakota had trouble even processing who she had her sword pointed down at. She felt her chest tighten and swallowing down a wave a nausea that immediately hit her for some unknown reason. She got lost in his chocolate brown eyes, staring up at her in fury and anger but there was a hint of sorrow in them. For Bellamy, he took in her new appearance, she looked rugged and worn down. She had circles under her eyes and a new scar running down her cheek. Her hair was half up, braided at the side showing him her grounder side. He tried to mesmerize her face all over again, like he had forgotten what she had looked like but that didn't stop the fury that was starting to bubble inside of him. She wasn't being held prisoner like he had thought. She wasn't in chains, She was willingly following Clarke's kidnapper.
Dakota eyes gazed down at his bleeding thigh as she put her sword back into it's scabbard and kneeled down beside him and Bellamy flinched slightly. "You shouldn't be out here, Bellamy.." Her words came out so dull and lifeless.
Bellamy shook his head and backed up from her. "Why are you with him? You know he's taking Clarke to the Ice Queen." She shoved her away, getting up onto his own two feet leaving her staring up at him with a small frown on her face.
Dakota exhaled sharply as she slowly rose from a squatting position. "Stop following us.." She met his eyes as he stared over at her, his body half facing her and his face.. god, the way he was looking over at her was in pure disgust. "You'll get yourself killed." Dakota paused her words as she heard heavy footsteps coming behind them, she shook her head and faced Bellamy for what the thought would be the last time. "I messed up and I'm sorry.." The words lingered on her tongue as her eyes got glossy. Bellamy had made the mistake of taking his eyes off of her to look behind him at the voice calling his name.
"Bellamy. He's hurt!" Monty called out from behind Bellamy. Bellamy turned his head to see Monty rush up with Kane, Pike and Hannah following closely behind. Bellamy turned to face Dakota again, but found that she had completely disappeared.
"We told you to wait for the army to move." Kane called out sternly.
Monty came up and took a look at the wound on his upper thigh. "What happened?"
Bellamy breathed out slowly, directly at Marcus behind them. "I almost got her. I-" Bellamy looked around for a sigh of Dakota, but the woods around them were empty. "Dakota.. she was here- she was-"
Kane turned to Pike and nodded. "Pike, find their trail."
Pike shook his head with distain. "It's useless. He knows he's being followed now."
They all realized that they had to give up for the remainder of the day, as the sun was starting to set across the horizon, but Bellamy wasn't taking it. He lifted himself from the tree and tried to move forward, but he didn't get very hair. Kane stopped him with a firm hand on his shoulder.
"Hey. You can't even walk."
"So what? We give up? Let him kill her?" Bellamy shook his head, frustrated. "Your daughter is with him too, Does saving her not matter?" He removed Kane's hand and stubbornly stomped up, grunting in the immense pain from his leg. Monty went after him, furious.
"Bellamy! I wanna find them, too. But look at your leg. You could die out here and we have no trail-"
"We can't lose Clarke!" He screamed out, loud enough for anyone within the mile radius to be able to hear him. Everyone stayed quiet as Bellamy turned back at Monty with desperation in his eyes. "Dakota is in trouble and we need to help her."
"We'll find them." Monty said as he looked into Bellamy's eyes reassuringly. "Okay? We will figure something out, I promise. But this isn't the way."
After awhile, Bellamy begrudgingly nodded. Deep down, he knew he wouldn't be able to continue, and he knew that they wouldn't let him even if he decided to. So he agreed and Monty nodded, taking Bellamy's arm over his shoulder.

Dakota had made it back to the stairway that lead down into the dark basement. Her eyes looked upon the blood stains that was splattered over the concrete. She let out a shaky breath and descended down the stairs to where she was greeted with an empty room.
"Clarke..?" She called out, looking around. When no one had answered her back she sighed out and everything was silent around her until she heard the familiar sound of a sword being unsheathed.
Her ears perked up as she turned around to face her attacker. Roan stood by the metal doorway with his sword against her chin. "It's time to tie up loose ends, Shadow Warrior."
Dakota stared at him as his sword began to pierce under her chin and she raised her hands. "Roan, don't do this. Remember, I'm worth more to you alive."
Roan smiled slightly. "I know." He said before his fist swung against her temple so hard. Her vision went black.
When she awoke, she was being dragged by both her arms and her entire body ached. She couldn't see anything, her vision was cloudy but she knew that she had something over her head that was blocking her sight.
Doors opened around her and her breathing began raggedly, her hot breath bouncing back from the bag back onto her face. She was beginning to panic the more she was brought into the room. She felt regret wash over, she should of left with Bellamy. She should of took that chance but now it was to late. She had in fact been taken to the Ice Queen and Roan had betrayed her.
Dakota was pushed down to her knees as she felt a man kick her leg, forcing her down. "Wanheda and the Natblida, as promised." It was Roan speaking behind her.
Then the bag was pulled off her head and the light shun down into her eyes. She blinked a few times as her vision began to get more clear. When her eyes finally focused, Dakota saw a figure stand from a throne but was hidden from the light, until the figure stepped out of it, "Hello Clarke, Dakota." The girl greeted and instantly Dakota's eyes darkened with rage.
Lexa stood before them, towering over the two girls. Dakota could feel her heartbeat pounding away in her chest and she gritted her teeth together, wanting to scream a bunch of words that surely would earn her a couple of wounds, but couldn't get her voice to work.
"The deal was for you to bring her to me unharmed." Lexa said, her voice loud and strong as both Clarke and Dakota glared up at her, hatred burning through their eyes.
Roan smirked. "Wanheda didn't come easily." Lexa's eyes landed on Clarke as she studied her for a moment, and then her eyes landed on Dakota, noticing her face was clean of wounds, and didn't even look harmed.
"I'd expect not." She agreed.
"I've done my part, now do yours. Lift my banishment." Roan said, his eyes fixated on Lexa whom paused for a moment, mulling it over.
"I'm told your mother marches on Polis." Lexa stated, her gaze turning to the man whom was slowing beginning to look agitated.
"Honour our deal." He drawled.
"I'll honour our deal when your queen honours my coalition." She countered and the mans eyes instantly glared at her though he was smiling. Dakota could see right through it, she knew that his veins were boiling over. But that dark desperate side couldn't contain the grin on his face and Dakota knew he was already planning his revenge.
"Lock Prince Roan of Azgeda away." She demanded and Dakota looked over her shoulder to see two guards instantly pull him back and for a moment his eyes met hers. That's who she was helping all along, the Prince? She shook her head.
"Yes, Heda." Then he was dragged out of the room, the bittersweet smirk still on his face and then Dakota turned back around, looking up at the Commander.
"What of Wanheda and the Natblida?" A man standing next to Lexa asked skeptically and Lexa held up her hands, dismissing them.
"Leave us." She ordered and the man and Indra out of the throne room, leaving the three girls alone. "Help her up." Lexa gestured to Clarke and the two guards behind her helped Clarke onto her feet.
"I'm sorry," Lexa said as she pulled the gag from Clarke's mouth whom continued to look at her with eyes that held nothing but hatred for the Commander. "It had to be this way." She assured. "Had to insure Wanheda and the Natblila didn't fall into the hands of the Ice Queen." She explained and that's when Dakota's hands came from behind her, and she heard the guards behind her rush over and grab her unbound hands.
"Release her!" Lexa commanded and the two Grounder's removed their hands from Dakota's arms. Dakota stood up onto her feet and circled around the room, taking in the place.
"He's not very good at tying knots." Dakota smirked over at Lexa. "To make sure our safety of getting here, you kidnap us and have brought us here against our will?" Dakota asked in disgust, her eyes narrowing at the Commander.
"War is brewing, Dakota." She stated, her cold brown eyes fixating on Lexa, brewing her own war inside them. "I need you." She stated, keeping her eyes locked on Dakota who did nothing but stare back blankly.
Lexa then turned her head to look at the blonde girl in front of her. "Clarke, I need you." She said desperately and the girl stared at her for a moment before she threw her head forward and spat onto her face making Lexa flinch back and Dakota's eyes widened.
"You bitch!" Clarke screamed as the guards rushed to her side and grabbed a hold of her, yanking her towards the door as Lexa watched with hurtful eyes.
"You wanted the Commander Of Death?" She exclaimed, "You've got her!" She screamed, her voice booming through the room before she released multiple screams as she fought against the guards.
"I'll kill you!" Clarke's last words turned into muffled screams as she was dragged down the hallway, leaving Dakota alone with Lexa.
Lexa wiped at her face, her eyes focusing on the ground and Dakota watched her face carefully, noticing all the emotions until her face rested into a blank state. There was no doubt in Dakota's mind that the Commander felt something there, for Clarke. She knew that look.
"War is brewing, Dakota and I need you. I need you and Clarke." Lexa turned to the brunette who was standing over towards the throne, letting her hand go over the wood.
Dakota shook her head. "You just showed weakness, Lexa." She looked up at the Commander who frowned slightly. "Clarke makes you look weak, and the only reason you want her is because you feel something."
Lexa's looked taken back for a moment and her eyes searched everywhere expect Dakota's face. "And why do you need me? Because I'm a Nightblood?"
Lexa's eyes found hers, "You're far more than what flows through your veins, Dakota." She said as she stepped towards her, enclosing the gap between them and Dakota continued to hold her gaze, showing the pure disgust in her eyes as she stood her ground.
"What you are is a symbol of strength and chaos from the shadows. Our people are giving you the name of Trikova Gona-the Shadow Warrior because of what you do in battle." She explained. "The Ice Queen wants you just as much as she wants Clarke." She finished.
Dakota gave her a bitter smile. "Well aren't you the lucky one cause you got me instead." She hissed out in spite, showing her teeth as she practically growled out her words.
"I understand if you have hatred towards me-"
"Hatred?" Dakota repeated with a laugh. "You told everyone who I was. You put a fucking bounty on my head. What I have for you is more than just hatred." She said dangerously gaining more confidence when she saw the split moment of uncertainty in Lexa's eyes before stepping closer and Lexa stepped back.
"I actually want to thank you for showing me who I truly was. I have become one with my blood. My soul, black as it is filled with no emotion, and when I get my sword back, I will promise you this. I'm going to take that sword and drive it right through your little heart." She threatened and took another step and Lexa mirrored her move until her heels hit the wall and she came to a quick halt.
Dakota brought her face to hers. "I'll kill you. Do you understand me? I'm gonna kill you. And I'm too upset to come up with a witty description about how exactly I'm gonna kill you, but I'm just gonna do it, ok?" She promised and Lexa swallowed hard and she stepped away, waving her hand in a dismissive gesture and the guards took a hold of Dakota's arms.
"I'll step out of the shadows and kill you!" Dakota yelled out as she kicked and struggled. "Sleep with your eyes open, Commander! You hear me!" She screamed loudly, her voice going hoarse and crackling with raw emotion as she was hauled out of the room and down a corridor.
