After the recharging arrangements were made. Sunburst had Ultra Magnus help her with making dinner. That was after she made him change into normal clothes. Maximal was told to behave, and stay out of the kitchen.

"I appreciate you getting me away from your family." Ultra Magnus said, "No offense, but one of your sisters doesn't seem quite fond of me."

"She's like that with every mech I've been with." Sunburst said, "N-Not that there is something between us."

"I know what you meant."

"Sorry. It's just I'm not really used to having guests around."

"I'm assuming that you are usually not home on the weekends?"

"You would be assuming correctly."

"Might I ask why?"

"On the weekends right after school I would go to the hospital, and help out with the bitties." Sunburst said handing him a apron, "That was until a few breem ago when I started 'blind dating'."

"So your 'blind dating' is interfering with you helping out with the bitlets at the hospital? Why can't your date wait, and work around your schedule?" Ultra Magnus asked taking the apron

"It's not really interfering with me going to the hospital. I made sure that the hospital knew that I wouldn't be there on Fridays due to it." Sunburst said honestly, "I will admit I have figured out who the mech I'm dating is after only two dates."

"That was quite fast. Does he know who you are yet?" Ultra Magnus said grabbing some vegetables

"Not yet. I've met his Creators before we started dating." Sunburst said cutting some of the meat, "I've actually known his Carrier all my life."

"You must keep yourself busy with everything."

"I try."

"What all do you know about this mech your dating?"

"Well~... he's seems very sweet, genuine, smart."

"How smart?"

"Very smart. Almost smarter than the average mech." Sunburst said taking over the vegetables since he was being slow

"Alright." Ultra Magnus said stirring some noodles now

"He's tall, handsome. Very handsome. He's a real dork. Not very much of a socialist in public like I am. The list really goes on." Sunburst said kneading some dough

"How long is it? The list?"

"It's a very big list in my opinion."

"What all do I add to these noodles when it's done boiling?"

"I'll tell you when it's done. By the way~... your a little to clean." Sunburst said sneakily grabbing a servo full of flour

"What's that-"

Sunburst then threw some flour onto Ultra Magnus.

"Really? Was that really necessary?" Ultra Magnus said slowly walking towards Sunburst

"It is when you're the type of mech who is way to much of a clean freak. Especially making a very messy meal." Sunburst said stepping back a little

Sunburst then tried to bolt. Ultra Magnus quickly grabbed her by the waist before she could escape. Holding her in a loose but firm hold so she couldn't escape.

"Hey!" Sunburst giggled, "This isn't fair."

"Life's not fair, my dear." Ultra Magnus said laying his helm on top of hers from behind her

"I'm sorry. I was only trying to get you to smile or even laugh." Sunburst said not even acknowledging what he called her, "I know it might bring back not the greatest of memories, but I know that new and possibly even better memories can be made to replace all the bad."

"How would you even know?" Ultra Magnus said going back to the noodles

"Take it from a femme who understands what it's like to be treated the same way as you have been." Sunburst said putting her broken servo on his arm, "I know what it's like to be used for my title, money, and for my spark to be toyed."

"What happened to your servo?" Ultra Magnus asked draining the noodles, "It looks like it's broken."

"I broke it on my date last night." Sunburst said grabbing the ingredients, "I know him as U.M. currently."

"How did you break it?" Ultra Magnus said filleting the rest of the meat

"I broke it by punching his ex femme Hethu. She doesn't know who I am so that's a plus, but her pride is hurting because her optic is more damaged than my servo."

"I can understand that."

The two then started talking about their own experience of cooking. They learnt so much about each other that Ultra Magnus was going to enjoy being art partners with her.

The storm was getting so bad outside that the power went out.

"That's just great." Ratchet said sarcastically

"I was winning." Theresa whined

"How am I supposed to finish my reports now?" Whitney said slightly angry

"I hope you have a back up for your power." Ultra Magnus said looking to Sunburst with the small light coming from the stove

"Not for power, but that of light." Sunburst said, "I'll be back."

Sunburst then left the kitchen to go to her room to get as many candles and old lamps she deemed necessary. She shut and locked the door, then let a little of her phoenix side out just enough to use a little fire to light one lamp, and one candle.

"I got some old fashion sources of lights we can use." Sunburst said walking downstairs with the candles and lamps

"Well aren't you resourceful right now." Aaron said taking the other unlit lamps

"Let me take those candles before you drop them." Whitney said taking the candles

"I better take a couple of these to the dining room." Brittany said taking about five to ten

"I better get back to the kitchen." Sunburst said lighting a couple of the other lanterns and candles

Sunburst then went back to the kitchen to see that her big sister was chatting with Ultra Magnus. They didn't see her, but she listened from the otherside of the wall.

"I don't care that you two are art partners. I want you to stay away from her. Ignore her at school. Ignore her at the parks, gardens, shops. Wherever it is you two see each other. I don't care. I want you to have nothing to do with her after you leave here. She doesn't deserve a mech like you. Especially one who won't look in her direction after they become the new Magnus. Every bot knows that their family and friends are set aside. Especially their own mate. They only go to them for a pleasurable release, or even to blame them for their own failures. To turn their mate into some kind of pleasure bot." Amanda said angrily

"That's enough. You know nothing about us Magnus'. We put our family and friends aside to help protect them. Our mate, whomever it may be, understands this before we are bonded. They are not to blame for our mistakes, but to help us comprehend why our failures happened. They are our equal. Nothing less. Not even that of a pleasure bot. They are there to help us. No matter the situation. Be it sadness, anger, joy, or even pain. No matter which side of the bond, the other has vowed to help the other through their problems. If you don't like the way we keep our loved ones protected, then ignore our ways." Ultra Magnus said not phased trying to finish dinner in the small lighted room

"I won't just ignore something like this. You are genuinely interested in getting to know my sister. Just so you can toy with her spark. I can't just-"

"He's not toying with me, Ams." Sunburst said coming around the corner to set the lanterns and candles on the counters, "We're not even in a relationship."

"You two sure seem to act like it." Amanda said crossing her arms, "Why can't you wait to date a mech for a few stellar-cycles? Like other femmes?"

"I'm not like other femmes. You know this." Sunburst said, "The mech I'm blind dating is the only mech I'm dating."

"Ugh! You're such a sparkling!"

"I'm the sparkling? You're the one who's trying to get rid of a guest in our home."

"That's enough! Both of You!" Whitney hollered from the door way, "Amanda leave our guest alone. He is-"

"A complete and total jerk. Carrier he is-"

"I said enough!" Whitney said more sternly now, "I want you to write an apology to him. I want you to write an apology to your sister as well. You had no right doing what you did. I don't want to hear another word out of you for the rest of the cycle. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes Carrier." Amanda said lowering her helm

Amanda and Whitney then left Sunburst to speak with Ultra Magnus alone.

Sunburst noticed he had finished the rest of dinner. She also noticed he was hunched over, had his servos curled into fists resting on the counter, and his helm lowered.

"You okay?" Sunburst asked placing her broken servo gently on his shoulderplate

She had gotten no response other than him looking in the other direction.

"Look at me? Please?" Sunburst pleaded placing her good servo on his cheekstrut

She then finally got him to look at her, but what she saw wasn't what she was expecting.

"Hey~. It's going to be alright. I promise." Sunburst said wiping away the oncoming optical fluid

Ultra Magnus then hugged her, and put his faceplate in between her neckcables and shoulderplate.

"Oh. Well I didn't expect this." Sunburst said wrapping her arms around him

Ultra Magnus then went numb in his stabilizers and brought Sunburst with him to the floor.

"Why don't you let it all out? That way you can speak what's on your processor."

Ultra Magnus hadn't leaked in a long time. So when he did leak this time he would have problems to deal with later.

Sunburst had let her Sire and Theresa put dinner on the table while she dealt with Ultra Magnus.

Sunburst had done nothing but rub soothing circles, and speak soothing words to him like she would with one of the bitlets at the hospital she helps take care of.

It took Ultra Magnus a good thirty kliks to let out every drop of optical fluid he had that his systems would let him. When he finished leaking he had fallen into recharge.

When Sunburst heard nothing but a few sniffles every few kliks she knew he was done. She looked over to see he had leaked himself into recharge. She knew it was going to be a little difficult getting him to her room.
