Chapter 12

     ****

www.ourlittleteenvoices.com

Thursday 23rd February.

Facts about Miss Tosin Adetunde.

She's the principal's secretary and the teacher in charge of uploading results of students in  Willow Heights Academy.

From selling of students' results to paying deaf ears to students' reports, Miss Tosin has done more heartless things than a human could.

She is known to have sold and changed students scores for money.

Her wickedness has also driven her to pay deaf ears whenever a few bold students come to report molestation cases to the principal.

Detective Okoye rushed to the scene of the latest crime like his life depended on it. Once again, another teacher had died from the same school. Upon his arrival, he saw the neighbours crowded around the paramedics who carried the body of a woman out of the apartment.

"What happened?" He breathlessly asked Jamaal who had arrived earlier. Jamaal called a short, plump woman who bit her nails nervously.

"She's the neighbour of the deceased and the one that called the police." Jamaal said tiredly.

"I always warned her about her loud television everyday. I came back from my shop this afternoon and heard her noisy television so I went to warn her again. I knocked and knocked but she didn't reply. I thought that she left it on and left the house or something. Just as I turned to leave, I heard her scream. I.. I.. I called the police immediately." The woman explained, her eyes welled up in tears as she recounted the event.

Jamaal placed his hand on her shoulders as she wept. Okoye sighed and rubbed his face in frustration. He walked into the apartment and saw the messy state. He looked around the living room and his eyes zeroed in on the wine glass and bottle with a box of half eaten chocolate.

He picked the wine glass up and sniffed it but he didn't get any distinctive scent.

"There is no sign of break in." An officer reported. He gave Okoye a piece of paper instead, "I think this might lead to something."

Okoye read the love note over and over again but couldn't make sense of it. A secret admirer? In this country? He wondered how dumb the woman was to fall for it. But a desperate woman would believe it..

"Detective Okoye.." Jamaal called, "The hospital just called. Miss Tosin was poisoned to death. They said there was a chemical found in her system that was very poisonous and since it was taken in a large quantity, it destroyed her insides." Jamaal explained, shiver ran down his spine as he began to reconsider his line of work.

"Do you think all these deaths are related?" Okoye asked his partner who shrugged.

"They're all from the same school so probably." He replied. Okoye began to wonder what the link between the three deaths was.

Okoye arrived at his station looking more beat up than usual. He sat behind his desk and placed his head on his table.

"Okoye." Someone called and he looked up to see his fellow detective. "This case is surely wearing you out." The detective said.

"It's tearing me apart even. No clue, nothing at all." Okoye complained.

"I think I might have found a clue for you." The detective said. He carried his laptop from his own desk and kept it in front of Okoye. "This is a new website that's speedily spreading throughout the state and country. The members of the site are in support of the killer." He explained.

Okoye quickly scrolled through the app and saw the posts and comments. He let out a strangled noise as he saw more and more people in support of the recent deaths.

"What the heck?" He breathed his co-worker nodded.

"That's exactly what I thought when I saw the site."

A new post came in and Okoye quickly refreshed the page to read it.

Ultio has done it again🤯

I told you all that Ultio was on this site. On behalf of the members of this site, I'd like to say a big thank you to Ultio for once again fighting for us.

Today, Miss Tosin Adetunde was reported dead in her apartment. I still can't believe that Ultio is a human and not a god because this is just extraordinary.

Now guys, let us tell Ultio how grateful we are by using the tag #DearUltio

THANK YOU ULTIO!

"Tell me I'm dreaming." Okoye whispered as he read the new post.

"I wish I could honestly. Look at the insane amount of likes the post has gotten." The detective said.

"Why would someone set up something like this? This is becoming occultic." Okoye said in a quiet voice.

"I suspect that 80% of the people on this site are students from the comments." The detective said.

   "This is sick." Okoye groaned.

   "Very."

Amber and her parents sat down in the living room watching the news when the death of Miss Tosin was reported.

"What is seriously going on in your school? This is the third teacher now." Her father complained.

"You're just seeing it?" Her mother asked, "you don't even know about the site that's going viral now. If you log into the site then you'll see how much children has suffered in the hands of teachers." She added.

Amber smiled a little at her mother's support as she closed her eyes and feigned she was asleep.

"Are you serious?" Her father asked and his wife nodded.

"Let me log in and show you. If you hear the things this Tosin did, you won't know if you'll pity her or say thank God."

"Amy's asleep already." Her father said softly.

"Baby.." her mother shook her slightly and she opened her eyes slowly. "Go to your room, okay?" She said and Amber nodded slowly.

She walked upstairs with a full blown grin on her face and she hoped her parents didn't notice it. She locked the door of her room and jumped on her queen-size bed. She took out her laptop and logged into the site immediately. Praises and gratitude flooded the timeline and she felt butterflies in her belly.

She scrolled through the comments with the trending hashtag, #DearUltio and read each of the comments. Her eyes zeroed in on one comment and she felt her mood drop a little.

"#DearUltio I think it's enough with the deaths already. Haven't the teachers learnt their lessons?"

~@ok_student

Amber didn't even think twice before replying the message.

"@ok_student you are probably homeschooled that is why you are stupidly typing something like this. If you can't relate then I advise you to just shut up and let those that understand type."

~@blackrose21

She felt her mood lift when  other users backed her up. Those that don't get it would always be running their mouths. A new post came in and Amber quickly refreshed the page.

#DearUltio I understand that you may favour Willow Heights and that's fine. Please look into Mr Nonso from Primus Girls High. I've had more than a hundred messages about him and the way he is terrorizing the girls there.

His address is @#&!+

~@littlepreacher1

Amber almost laughed out loud when she saw the address of the male teacher. She always had the feeling that someone up there was on her side but this just made it known. The next devil's pawn to go back to hell just lived a few blocks away from her… perfect.

****

Detective Okoye cursed as a bunch of people attacked his message in the site. He had logged in and decided to try out how the site works but he even got abused and his account was already reported severally by a bunch of other users.

He was about to log out when a new post came in. He read the post over and over again. Since the address was already there, it meant that Ultio could attack anytime soon. If he was there on standby guarding the next victim, then he might finally catch Ultio and save a life.
