As soon as Peter and him finish helping Aunt May put the groceries away, Wally is sitting next to Artemis in an instant.

"Here's your water, Beautiful," he smiles, pecking her cheek and handing her a liter-sized bottle of water.

She scoffed, but accepted the bottle.

"Took you long enough," she smirks, taking a long sip of the simple but refreshing beverage.

Wally sighs and sits next to her.

"Did Rob check back in yet?" the speedster asks.

Artemis nods and puts the bottle down.

"Joe and him will be here shortly," the archer replies, as she leans against him. She sighs, worriedly, "I hope that whatever they have planned works."

He pecks her forehead softly.

"I'm sure it will," Wally says confidently, holding her close. "It will work."

Artemis nods silently as she continues to lean against Wally. Her head on his chest.

Peter and Ava observe the two from the kitchen. Standing close to each other.

"Well," Peter smirks, blushingly, "Those two are certainly close."

Ava scoffs and shakes her head.

"Why... aren't you observant," the feline teases, as she steps away form him and closer to the island. She pulls out some bread and meat, and makes a sandwich.

"Want half?" she asks kindly, a knife in her hand.

"Sure," the spider smiles. "Might be the only bite we get before the redhead gets hungry again."

Ava smiles at his joke, and teasingly adds, "When's that? Two minutes?"

The two laugh, and Peter is standing close to her again as he reaches over her shoulder to grab his half of the sandwich. Their hands brush against each others, and the two flinch away as though shocked by static electricity.

The two blush and grab their respective halfs, separately, as if avoiding each others contact. Peter leans back against the counter, and Ava leans against the island as they enjoy the sandwich.

Ava chuckles when she's half done with her portion.

"What's so funny?" Peter inquires as he takes another bite.

"Nothing," Ava smiles softly, swallowingher bit. "Just... Just something that Artemis, the archer, told me."

She turns away from him, to hide her blushing cheeks.

"More like.... something she implied," she smirked coyly at the spider, and getting his full attention.

He quirks his brow, as a way to silently ask what she means.

God! He looks so cute when he does that! Ava's mind screams.

The carmel-skinned feline closes her green eyes and takes a deep breath to calm both her thoughts and her blushing cheeks; the later of which is competing with certain speedster's hair for the title of most reddest object. Fortunately for Ava, both have already lost to the stack of apples in the center of the island.

"Ava...?" Peter asks, softly. There's a slight worry in his voice that she notices.

That is, after she notices that he's standing right in front of her, and realizing that he must have crossed the small distance that separated them while she was trying to calm herself; leaving an even smaller space between them. His face is mere inches from hers. His breath tickling her lips as her eyes flick back and forth from his and his brown eyes. His eyes do the same until they both are locked onto each other, and inching forward slowly. Their lips brush against each others and then--

There's a loud knock at the back door, and the two jump away from each other, blushing vividly. The two stare at each other for a moment in slight shock and frozen stiff; only to jump at the sound of the person knocking again.

"Yo Petey!!" Sam shouts from the other side of the pinewood board as he pounds on it again. "Open up!!"

Peter motions to the door flailingly and nervously says, "I... I should... probably get... that...."

Ava nods and darts past him, trying to conceal her blush by keeping her eyes on the floor.

Peter goes to the door and lets out a brief sigh as he puts on a happy face.

He opens the door and that happy face immediately disappears. It is replaced by one both shock and amusement, as he sees that the three young ladies standing behind Sam.

One of them has green skin...
