"We need to find a way to stop Zola," Robin says as he paces around the living room.
"Agreed," Marine X nods, lounging in a comfy chair. "But we don't even know where this guy is."
"We can figure that out after we eat," KF groans, dashing into the kitchen; beating everyone except Artemis to the meal Aunt May prepared.
The blonde archer was already in the kitchen helping May cook and dish out the food. She hands the always famished speedster a plate and is rewarded with a small peck on the cheek, and she giggles; tosselling his hair as he inhales food.
Peter goes to take a bite from his sandwich, when the familiar tingling sensation fills his skull. He grabs Ava and May and pulls them away from the window right before a flashbang smashes through it.
"GET DOWN!!!" he screams, as the room is engulfed in thunder and blinding flashes of light.
His ears ring with a loud buzzing as his vision clears.
"Let me go!" Someone shouts.
He reopens his eyes to see a heavily armed man in a black mask forcibly dragging Artemis to her feet.
Artemis kicks and claws at the man, and the man responds by punching her in the face. She grunts and kicks him in the groin, getting free of the man's grip. But, it's only short-lived; for another man comes up from behind her as a canister falls and fills the room with some kind of gas.
Peter tries to get up, but is overcome with fatigue.
"Knock out gas," Robin coughs. "D-Don't... b-breathe....."
Peter stumbles as he tries to fight the soldiers, noticing Wally and Joe doing the same. The speedster faring slightly better as his metabolism tries to burn-off the sedative.
Joe falls first, after taking a strong kick to the gut. He manages to pull off the man's mask. His eyes go wide as he recognizes the man.
As a reward for his curiosity, Joe gets his lights knocked out; a swift kick to the head.
Peter soon follows. He manages to dodge a few punches, but the sedative gas takes its toll. His movements slow to a crawl, and he is easily taken down when Ava is used as a human battering ram; taking out Peter, Sam, and Megan.
As an extra measure, the one of the masked men punts Sam's helmet like a college pigskin.
Using his speed, Wally manages to follow them outside.
Screw my secret identity, he growls mentally, using his speed to take out several of these thugs by slamming into them.
Artemis struggles against her captors, whom have vise like grips on her wrists and ankles. She manages to free her right arm and decks one of the grunts across the jaw; breaking free. She gets two feet away before being shot with a tazer.
Wally cries out in anger as he watches her fall. He dashes towards her only to hit a brick wall of a man and get thrown back. Another man walks up behind him and slips a syringe into his neck; making his head spin when he tries to get up.
Raquel bursts through the wall, her force-bubble protecting her from the gas and the weapons of their attackers. She follows Wally, and the two give chase to the three retreating SUVs. One of them contains Artemis.
Wally does his best to keep up; his head still spinning from the sedatives. But, they are taking its toll; he can barely break 60 miles per hour.
They barely get close to the rear vehicle when the rear windscreen opens, and missiles fly out. They impact against Raquel's shield, and Wally dodge them at first only to find that the rocket-propelled explosives are tracking him.
"They're locked onto me!" Wally shouts, panicking but trying to remain calm. "I'll draw them off! Keep after them!"
He turns around and runs as fast as he can. He picks up rocks, screws, and other road debris to to throw at the missiles. He takes out most of them.
"Which one!?!" Raquel shouts, watching as the three SUVs split up at one of the intersections. She growls and continues after the one in front of her.
Wally wishes he could join the chase; that is, if he wasn't playing the part of the poisoned rat. He weaves the maze of streets of the neighborhood; hoping that the sudden turns and changes in direction will get them to break off.
But... What would they hit instead? He realizes as sudden as a bolt of lightning.
He looks around him as he runs, taking in his surroundings. Several scenes are played out in slow motion around him. He sees kids playing catch. A man walking his dog. A young couple spending an evening on the porch.
He looks behind himself and sees the missiles closing in; knowing what he has to do.
Raquel fires a blast and takes out the rear tire; making the ten ton vehicle skid into a telephone pole.
She lands on top of the SUV, and uses her force blasts to cut through the roof and peals it open like a tin can.
She growls angrily as she pulls out one of the men, "Where's Artemis!?!"
"Far from here," he smirks.
The man grits his teeth hard and a cracking sound is heard as foam fills his mouth.
"Hail... Hydra..." he chokes out before going limp; his eyes glassing over and dimming.
She looks over the other three and sees that they did the same as well, and growls in anger as she flies back to the house.
Wally was doing his best to keep the missiles following him, as he tried to lead them away from the crowded neighborhood. But, the running was taking its toll on him. He was exhausted and out of energy. His mind was fogged over from the remnants of the sedatives in his system, causing him to trip over the curb.
He landed face-first into the pitcher's mound of an empty baseball field. He rolled over, tasting iron from his now broken nose. Watching as the missiles closed in on him, he was helpless; his body shutting down from lack of energy.
The missiles closed in rapid, and Wally shut his eyes; waiting for the inevitable.
Suddenly, one of the missiles exploded in midair.
Wally blinked and saw the faint shimmer of a force field around him.
"Raquel...?" He called out weakly, trying to stand.
"Stay down," she orders. Her hands are raised above her head, to keep up the shield as the last three missiles slam into it; exploding harmlessly.
After the last one hits, the shield I dropped as Raquel checks on her friend.
"Raq," Wally coughs. "W-where's Artemis...?"
Raquel avoided his gaze; the gesture telling the speedster what he feared most.
"We'll get her back, I promise," she says as she picks him up and flies back to Peter's house.
As he drifted in and out of consciousness, Wally hoped against hope that they would succeed in that goal.

Artemis woke with a start. Soon, finding that her hands and ankles have been bound tightly with some kind of metal cord.
She laid back against the wall, noticing two things:
One, her quiver and bow are gone.
Two, her back-ups are gone as well.
She sighed and silently cursed to herself. For, the absence of her quiver meant that the enemy most likely has reclaimed their transdimensional transceiver. And, that she failed to keep it safe.
She settled back onto the cold, metal floor. Hoping that her teammates, her family, will find find her and be able to salvage this mission.
I'm counting on you, Baywatch, she smirked mentally. Don't you dare let me down, My Ninja Boyfriend.
