As of now, I am being chased by a large, muscular, black skinned hobgoblin? He has horns...and a metal arm...No weapons though...is that actually an early version of Ogarou!?

[Sigh]

I decided to not pay attention to the unreasonable sarcastic resignation of Great Sage...wait, is she developing an ego early on?

"Wait, no, that doesn't matter now, I can't fight with Ogarou NOW!!! Rimuru may be powerful, and I may have the Gamer abilities, as well as a low level version of boosted gear (sealed form), but I can't deal with something like Rou!"

I kept sprinting away as I kept trying to break the ID

'Wait, what if he isn't as strong as he should be?'

I'm putting a lot of hope into this, since I haven't even tried to learn any weapons or other skills, but maybe I can beat him by pulling some thing out of my ass!

"Water Blade! Water Cannon! Water Bomb! Pressure Cannon! Blade! Blade! Blade! Blade! Blade! Cannon! Burst! Fire! Go, go, go, go, go, RAPID FIRE!!!!!" Well, I may have slightly started spamming the only usable skill I have in order to try and survive...

I currently managed to sever his metal arm, and he is covered in wounds, but this ogre's vitality stats must be off the charts! His wounds are rapidly healing and he's not even reacting to his arm being missing.

In the moment, I managed to dash forward quickly, not nearly as fast as I thought I should be going, but I still managed to grab his severed arm and place it in my inventory.

"Now...I must deliver a finishing blow, or even with my cheatiness I'm gonna get eaten...I need to keep abusing the system to see how far I can go when I get out of this...I'm going to get out of this...I have to fulfill my promise to Issei, take care of his mother. I must take care of my kingdom, prevent Shion's death. I have to free my two Dragon kin from their bindings. But most of all...

"For me...I am...," I manage to weakly pull out an iron blade from my inventory "the Protagonist!!!!!!!!"

I rush forward, using as much speed as I could, which was not a lot, but seeing as how I somehow managed to cut his Achilles tendons, it seems to be good enough!

As I slice and dig my blade through Rou's thick hide, I stab him deep in his sides.

With more goblins and hobgoblins than there were earlier however, I was surrounded, watching as the boss regenerated

"Great Sage...please, a little help here?"

"Full Combat please, but only for the the goblins and hobgoblins, I want to deal the boss the final blow as myself."

He simply stood there, hollow, empty, as if he died standing. The goblins, unlike the Tempest goblins, were vicious and bloodthirsty, closing in on their incapacitated prey.

As one of them approached, it quickly rushed forward, and stabbed "Issei" straight through the heart as they fell to the ground, dead from the blow

"K-....ku....kukakakakaka!!!" The goblins began laughing at the the corpse who had just recently been slaughtering their brethren left and right

As the other goblins approached, the one who lodged the blade through his heart went down to retrieve his dagger, as another went to kick the corpse's face

"Kakakaka-kua?....kuah!??!!?"

As the two goblins went to their actions, their respective limbs were cleanly severed and consumed, by the man who just been stabbed to death...or so they had thought

"Target: goblins and hobgoblins.
Crimes: interruption and defilement of The Lord
Punishment: extended, cruel, and painful deaths...Alpha, norogi, souko, kuro..."

As he began to sputter seeming nonsense, the mobs began to surround him, as they were once again quickly cut down to size.

Limbs being torn by strength impossible for him, and heads, blood, and entrails flying through the air as a expression of extreme pleasure appeared upon the Gamer's face

"Punishment...still necessary~..."

As Ogarou stepped up and swung their fist, twisting his head in multiple sickening twists, their expression went cold once again

"Not...Yet..." as the hulking Ogre backed away quickly from the shock, he soon began to glare in anger, and tremble in fear as his arm was tightly gripped, being completely twisted and broken, soon howling with agony

The look of horror as they spied the glowing, eerie red eyes instead of this Gamer's normal golden color seemed to only excite the beast even more

Where?... Where exactly is this?

"Well...Rimuru...you certainly haven't changed much since we last met~...or should I call you Issei? Maybe something else then?" The sudden voice in this huge expanse of darkness certainly startled me, but at least it's a familiar one

'Veldora! How have you been~!?' I called out to him. He may be a big, monstrous, terrifying dragon, but he's still family to me, simply for still being so kind

"Aww, you're going to make me blush if you keep talking of my greatness like that~!...well, come on, keep it coming! Bwahahaha!!!"
As his boisterous laughter continued, I heard a large crush as if someone had hit him on the head

"My wielder, I apologize for this one's rudeness" another famliar and similarly booming voice echoed through the abyss, as I looked around to find their figures

'Ddraig, you too? Well, I guess that confirms where we are.'

As a large, emerald green crystal in the middle begins to glow, the two massive figures begin to be revealed, in all of their draconic glory

"Not quite...,"they both spoke to me at the same time, with a heavy feeling soon overtaking the atmosphere

"Weilder, we are here to warn you of a terrible dilemma that is soon to be approaching"
"A Calamity, if you will"

They both seemed to be in sync, like they were preparing to discuss this with me

'What kind of calamity?...'
If they were going to spout something off about this, then they may as well

[The Two great dragons have now been bound with a curse and pledge of silence, no longer allowing them to discuss further]

Wait, what?! But, we're inside of the extradimension for storage, inventory, and predator, aren't we!?

"Still not quite right..."
"We may not be at liberty to say, but we have a common word of advice to you"
"You MUST get stronger..."

Well...at least I have that covered, since I have seemingly gotten too strong for the normal story progression to work anymore...

But I still want to have a bit of a challenge in the upcoming times

"And...there is one last..."
"Detail...we must tell you of, before you're given the choice..."

It was a bit strange what their next advice was

"Names are bound to the soul, the stronger the bond and meaning of the name, the greater the impact on the soul itself"

As I came to, I found the battlefield was decimated, and strangely I felt pain too, even though I wasn't supposed to be able to

As I looked forward in front of my gaze, I found a shocking sight

'The rampaging Ogarou had been decimated in such to state...' I mentally noted what I saw this day

His skin had turned from the deepest abysmal black I had ever seen, to a pale white that made even albino snow seem dark.

His hair was disheveled, his face petrified, and his body bloodied and broken, as he slumped down to his knees, his head down, petrified by terror

"Just what...happened while I was out?... Great Sage?..."

[. . .]

". . ." From Ogarou's mouth, I faintly heard a voice

I gently leaned closer as I felt necessary

He was no longer a threat, but still an enemy...

"Please...," he quietly whimpered in terror "end me...end my suffering...free me from these horrors..."

I have no idea what is happening...is this an ID?... he seems...sentient...alive...maybe even...

Human...

He was broken beyond repair, if I left him, then he would be even worse off than he is now...I can't just leave him like this...

"I see your pain...and I am sorry...I do not know what happened, but I will bear your pain...I will end your suffering...I apologize...From the deepest corners of my soul..."

As I said those final words, I turned to my slime form, and devoured him

His memories were blurred, but they were there. Not from the fight, but from before then. Something else happened, but I can't decipher it... it seems like something really is going on

I knew from what I saw, this may even be deeper down than the original Abyss could go...but I'll keep diving down, deeper and deeper until I manage to come out the other side.

I also found the other thing that Veldora and Ddraig were telling me about

Hmm....well, I just started gaining the righteous hero persona, so if I go that way...but I'm also going to become a monstrosity among demons and all creatures alike... but...I feel like my old name from the old world wouldn't work either, gotta be creative here...Maybe something along those lines? I thought a bit harder on my final decision, and after an extended period of time, I finally came to a decision.

A hooded figure, with no discernable features, and a voice that you can't tell what they are from, sat at a desk, watching a floating screen, with a young brown haired man standing in a desolate battlefield being seen.

"I'm surprised he managed to defeat Rou that fast. But, it was simply a trial test and battle mode is still usable, considering, so it is understandable." a woman's voice said from behind the figure

"Well it seems the trial was successful this time, so..." as the scene panned out, hundreds of cages filled with nightmarish creatures, and thousands of similar floating screens swarmed all over the place, showing many places, many different worlds, and many different beings all doing what they have been

(A/n- hello everyone, I'm sorry for the wait, and also the hard to follow storyline of this chapter, as well as the self plugin that I made at the end, but it's the best I had, and i need to reread the story again since I took such a hiatus.
