let's start this off: fan service isnt an inherently bad thing. nothing wrong with hot people in a show.

as an anime fan...im desensitizated to boobs. "oh, those are her tits again" followed by averting my eyes off the screen is my usual go to. its not for me, so im indifferent to it

however, i hate fan service characters (with one exception, lucoa from dragon maid bc shes great).

having a girl with giant knockers? awesome! i have several characters like that too. have those knockers be the only purpose of her character? no! why! dont!

its just super obnoxious when writers try to directly and blatantly pander to the ppl who watch the show with their hand down their pants. unless youre jacking off to it, youre gonna feel weird watching some softcore porn scene in your fantasy action anime.

sexy characters are not bad. characters that are comfortable in their sexuality and want to feel sexy are not bad. however, characters that exist only for the sake of being sexy are annoying.

ask yourself this: if you replaced this character with a lamp that had a mighty fine paira bazonkers, would the story be fundamentally the same? if yes, you have a fan service character.

if done tastefully, fanservice is cool. but otherwise..eh
