Previously on UD...

"What should I tell him?"

"Well, umm..." Shigure couldn't think of anything so instead I decided to be blunt with Haru like usual

"I'm not there, heading over to Shigure Sohma's house now with Serena Akimoto and him to have breakfast. Not sick, just slept in late from a long shift last night and got locked out of my house." I said out loud while writing the text and pressing send

"Why so forward and wouldn't it be suspicious if you're heading over to my house, ya know we are cousins!" Shigure asked her dramatically and Akira snorted unattractively at him

"Pretty obvious actually." Shigure rolled her eyes before continuing to walk along with Serena. Akira shrugged and walked after them.

Akira's POV

We arrived at Shigure's home to see two of my cousins and the girl named Tohru Honda standing on the front porch, clearly waiting for us. I glanced over at Shigure to see him nervously smile and wave to them

"Hello~ We are back-"

"Where the hell have you been?! And why is she here?!" Kyo asked rudely, pointing his finger at me

"Well you see-"

"You didn't leave us a note or anything Shigure!" Tohru stated, rubbing her hands together to warm them up a bit

"Yes I know, please let's all get inside and I will explain what happened." Yuki nodded in understanding, grabbing the back of Kyo's collar and dragging him inside, Tohru following after them. I sighed, shaking my head

"I regret taking your offer..." I muttered and reluctantly trudged into the house. When we entered, a blast of warm air welcomed me making me involuntarily shiver. I looked around my surrounding as I slipped off my winter jacket. It looked like an traditional japanese home but had the quirks about it that actually gave away that many others, beside, Shigure lived here, such as decorative rocks painted of the chinese zodiac. I caught myself from staring at it, noticing how he also included the Ugly Duckling, as in me, into the rocks. I shook my head, taking off my boots and walked into the living room

"Please sit down, no need to be standing around." Shigure told me, pointing over to a love seat. I shrugged, sitting myself down on it comfortably. He soon began explaining why I was here and why they were gone, leaving out the parts of me being a Sohma and a cursed zodiac member. I could feel the eyes of the people in the room soon rest on me. I awkwardly fumbled with my thumbs, avoiding eye contact. The room became silent until a knock on the door was heard

"That must be Haru..." Shigure muttered, getting up from his seat and walking to the door. When I heard footsteps entering the room, I glanced up to see Haru himself heading over to me

"You feeling alright?" He asked and I meekly nodded

"As I will ever be." I informed him and he nodded

"Sooo... Breakfast anyone?" Tohru asked, rubbing her hands together and getting up

"Sure Tohru." Serena told her with a small smile. She left the room into what I presume is the kitchen to get breakfast ready

"Haru, why are you here?" Yuki asked Haru curiously

"I was at school when the teacher told me to take notes for Akira and when I texted her if I should go over to her house to take care of her she told me that she was over here, so I just came over here instead." Kyo rolled his eyes at the response

"Her family would have been taking care of her, ya know?" Kyo stated, not knowing that I lived alone

"I live alone." I explained blankly and Kyo narrowed his eyes at me suspiciously

"You a criminal or somethi- OW! RIN WHAT THE HELL?!" Kyo glared at the girl behind him who was looking down at her phone in one hand, her other placed on her hip

"Rude, Kyo!"

"RUDE? SAYS THE ONE WHO BIFFED THE BACK OF MY HEAD!" Kyo yelled, rubbing where he was hit painfully

"Boohoo, cry me a river." She directed her attention back to her phone, walking over to where Serena was sitting on the floor, sitting down next to her cross legged

"Are you okay?" Serena asked Kyo quietly and he huffed, shrugging

"When Rin leaves the house." I heard him mumble to himself, Yuki glaring at him at the corner of his eye

"Alright, alright. Calm down everyone, let's us all act civil-" Rin rolled her eyes slightly, tapping rapidly on her phone, "-ilized. Tohru will hopefully be done with breakfast-"

"Will there be Rice Balls?" Serena perked up, her eyes glimmering with hope and mouth watering

"Maybe, you can go ask her if you want-" Shigure was caught off by Serena standing up, grabbing hold of Rin's arm and pulling her up with her before dashing into the kitchen

"Her and those Rice Balls I will never understand..." Kyo confessed truthfully, resting his head on the palm of his hand. I glanced over at Haru, noticing he was awfully quiet, seeming to be in deep thought

"What's on your mind?" I asked him in a whisper

"Oh, nothing of importance..."
