Part 36:
Manik: Wow... now that's a warm welcome!!
Nandini: Manik u were coming early & u didn't even tell me... When did u come?? How was ur flight??
Manik: So many questions together, how will I answer.
Manik smiled calmly at her face which symbolised as if she was a 10 year old girl & someone had given her a gift.
Nandini: Manik U know I-
Manik: Shh.... Slowly miss professional!! U r shouting at the top of ur voice, I m sure that waiting outside can clearly hear u.
Nandini: I don't care...
Nandini said this & again hugged Manik very tightly. Manik wrapped his arms around her at which she snuggled close & hid her head in his chest. Both of them took time & felt each other's presence after so long. Then slowly Nandini whispered in his chest,
Nandini: I missed u a lot Manik...
Manik: I missed u too my star!!
Nandini broke the hug & again the 10 year old was back.
Nandini: come... I want to show u something.
She slid her hand around his back & side hugged him to which Manik gladly responded. Nandini lead him outside towards her room. But the moment she got out of the study, she saw Varun sitting there. Varun stood up looking at her.
Manik expected Nandini to leave his hand & finish her work. But he was wrong as the 10 year old had now overpowered the professional freak. Nandini stopped in front of Varun, still not leaving Manik & simply said,
Nandini: Varun... I think we'll continue it some other day. Hopw u understand what all I said today. Rest I m sure Mr. Kapoor will definately give u the details as u start ur work.
Varun: Yes Ma'am...
Nandini: Ohk so... All the best!! I hope to see u at work tommorow...
Manik: Thank u Ma'am.. Good night!!
Nandini: Night..
And not even waiting for him to walk away, Nandini pulled Manik as she ran towards her room. Manik noticed Varun supressing his smile but then he had to go up. Nandini reached her room & opened the door, letting Manik in. Manik entered the room & saw a beautiful thing in front of him. The front wall of the room, which earlier possessed a single photoframe of her parents, now had another on its side. Nandini had got a picture of both of them, from the official party where she had been awarded, and edited it by adding stars at top & fireflies all around. The picture had both of them looking at each other & a quote on the bottom said, "MANAN- Till the stars shine & the fireflies glow".
Nandini saw his happiness in his smile & said,
Nandini: I hv been hiding it from everyone, I wanted to show it to u before anyone else.
Manik turned towards her & slowly said,
Manik: I love it!!
Nandini smiled at it as he cupped her face & kissed her forehead. Soon they left for the Malhotra Mansion.
Cabir: Here they r!!
Mukti: Bhai.... Thats not fair!! I let u go, so that u could surprise her & bring her here!! But u.... U both got lost....
Manik: Sorry guys... I forgot u all were waiting!!
Mukti: U forgot!! wait I'll tell u.....
With this Mukti picked up a cusion & threw it over Manik. Seeing her all the others also did the same & 5 minutes later, the entire living room was in a mess, while Manik was lying down on the floor with Fab5 over him with cusions. Nandini slowly stepped to a side, took out her mobile & clicked a few pictures of them. After which she said loudly,
Nandini: Guys.... Party time remember??
All of them got up & settled down. Manik sat next to Nandini as they held hands, when Manik said,
Manik: Wait.... Before everything else!! Mukti, I want to know what happened with Nyonika... Its still blowing up my head.
Mukti: God... Bhai, u take it so seriously!! I told u na Nandini handled her quite well. I m fine!!
Cabir: Ohh yeah and I loved it...
Manik: Woah... What exactly happened?
Mukti: So Aliya & I were going to the canteen from the Music room when suddenly Nyonika came.

Mukti: I m so sry but I don't know if its good or not.
Nyonika: Come on Mukti, u r my daughter & I don't think we shouldn't meet just bcoz Manik doesn't want us to.
Mukti: And also bcoz I don't want us to.
Nyonika: Why r u so rude to me always... What bad have I done to u?
Mukti: Sorry to question u back but... What good hv u done to me?
Nyonika: Ur brother has been teaching u all this shit out there. I don't really think he is too good to be even around u. And I must ask get him away from u legally or else-
Nandini: Or else u might find urself in the jail if u don't back off.
Mukti looked back & Nandini slowly walked closer to them.
Nyonika: And u will get me there will u??
Nandini: Ohh no Ma'am... There won't be any need for that. Mukti will be enough for u I think.
Nyonika: Yeah right! If u think so.
Nandini: Yes I do. See a smart teenage girl walks to the court against her abusive mother... I don't think thats something we hvn't heard before.
Nyonika: Abusive!!
Nandini: Well who knows the truth.
Aliya: Plus, We hv witnesses.
Mukti: Aww thats the first thing I should try to do.
Nyonika: And u think Nyonika Malhotra is scared of it... Really Nandini, U and ur childish ideas.
Nandini: Well one of those childish idea got u very bad Mrs. Malhotra. In fact u know what, I can do something which u hv been trying to do from so long & that can take everything away from u.
Nyonika looked at her horror stuck, her face fell pale, as she looked at Mukti once & then back at Nandini. She simply gave her a glare & walked back.
Mukti: What was that?? Nandini, how u manage to get her speechless.
Nandini: Leave it... Lets go I m hungry.
Aliya: Thats only coz u call urself 'Cabir's sister'.
All of them burst out laughing & walked away.

Manik: That was good!!
Mukti: It really was... In fact, I just realise that I haven't talked to Nyonika from the time u went away & I wonder how can that be possible coz that lady does buzz around even when u r around, so how was she so far when u were not there...
Manik heard her & smiled looking at Nandini. Nandini gave him a guilty look which didn't go unnoticed by Mukti,
Mukti: Nandini how come u were there exactly at the time when she came over.
Nandini: What... No !! I just... I just came by chance.
Mukti: U really need to learn to lie. Ohk so spill the beans...
Manik rubbed Nandini's hands and she finally said,
Nandini: Actually I didn't want u to be upset while Manik was away coz only he could handle u.
Mukti: Thats sweet but that doesn't answer my question, how did u know??
Nandini: Ohk I m sorry for this. I know u might not like it, and now would Manik..... But-
Nandini stayed quite for a second when Manik said,
Manik: What...
Nandini: Ohk I had my guards around u for a month.
Mukti: Seriously!!
Nandini: Listen I just didn't want u upset
Mukti: And those guards were behind me all day.
Nandini: Yes... Wherever u went. But no one knew, I promise. They were directly under me, so that i could just know where u r.
Mukti: And they reported to u in every??
Nandini: hour!! After every hour..
Mukti: OMG nandini don't u think thats too much.
Nandini: I now realise it was...
Mukti: Ohk and they were in the college as well.
Nandini: Yes in normal dresses... U don't realise I hv my guards around myself always.. I just asked them to inform me if a few unwanted people were around u.
Mukti: Unwanted like..
Nandini: Nyonika.... And.. Harshad.
As she said this Mukti looked at her blankly. No one knew what she was going to do & Manik looked at both of them in tension. When Mukti burst out laughing out loud.
Mukti: Nandini... U know u need something on ur top floor. All this just for my mood, God U R Insane...
Nandini: I m sorry,.. r u mad at me???
Mukti(laughing) : NO I love u!!
She got up & hugged her while Manik relaxed. Soon Mukti broke the hug & said,
Mukti: Don't dare repeat it ever.
