Manik's happiness had no bounds that day. It suddenly seemed that all his problems or pain had vanished away. Everything around him was looking perfect. He reached back to the Malhotra Mansion at around 2:15. And as his daily routine he walked straightly to Mukti's room to check on her, but as he entered he found the room empty & remembered that Mukti had decided to stay back with Aliya. This was the first time he was forgeting something like this & just the thought made him smile at himself. He simply left her room & entered his room. As he did so, he simply removed his T-Shirt & threw it on the bed. He opened up his cupboard to take out his shorts while the smile on his face was unbeatable. Just then he heard a voice from the other end of the room. "Wow.. Someone seems to be really happy today!!". Manik turned around to look at the person & immediately a big smile came upon his face.

Manik: DAD!!

Manik rushed towards him & hugged him. Mr. Raj Malhotra smiled & hugged his son back.

Manik: Dad... What a surprise?? U were going to come next month right??

Manik asked him breaking the hug.

Raj: Yes but then i thought to give u a surprise by coming here before going to San Francisco.... But then u only gave me a surprise. I came here to surprise my kids & thought that u all would be celebrating, but then I got to know that my daughter is staying back at her friend's place & my son isn't home even after midnight.

Manik: Ohh Dad, this is the bestest surprise ever... I can't tell u how much happy I m..

Raj: Yes but is this the only reason behind ur happiness or something else also, as i can see on ur face.

Manik smiled at it & then said,

Manik: U always get to know it ...

Raj: So tell me, whats the real reason??

Manik: Dad we won MUSICANA... Again...

Raj: That I know already.. You guys are all over the news... But is that the reason?

Manik: Yes Dad!!

Raj: So where were u till now... U were not partying with Fab5..

Manik: Yeah... I have planned the party tommorow...

Raj: So then where were u??

Manik: That all i'll tell u later, but for now its 2:30am, so I think u should take some rest. Coz tommorow morning u have to party with all of us.... U can't even imagine how happy Mukti is gonna be meeting u.

Raj: Ohk Ohk as u say.. I m also very eager to meet her as well as Fab5.

Manik: So u go & take some rest.

Raj was about to move out of the room when he turned around & said to Manik,

Raj: Manik.... Son though i don't know the reason why u left ur Music!! But today the happiness on ur face while performing clearly told how much Music means to u... Never leave it again & stay as happy as this always...

As manik heard this he smiled slowly & then said on a serious note.

Manik: Dad... There is something more that I need to share with u tommorow & it is really important.

Raj: Sure son... we'll talk properly tommorow...

Saying so he left Manik's room & soon went to sleep. Manik on the other side, kept on turning side by side on his bed. He could not stop but think about nandini, all the events to the night were playing on his mind. The words that she said, the smile on her face & last but not the least her fireflies. He picked up his mobile & looked at her whatsapp DP, in which she was posing towards the camera along with Mukti. He kept on smiling at it & didn't even realise how the entire night passed away & sun rays entered his room. He turned towards the clock & saw the time which was 6 am & thus got up. He went downstairs & walked into the kitchen to prepare himself a coffee. 15 minutes later he was confortably sitting in the front lawn of the house along with his mug of coffee, enjoying the fresh morning air when someone patted on his shoulder. He turned around & saw his dad standing there.

Manik: Good morning Dad.... Come na join me..

Raj: Good morning.... But how come u r up so early?? It seems u didn't sleep all night.

Manik: Ohh no no I did... But then just wished to enjoy this morning air so got up early.

Raj: Good...

Manik: So Dad tell me... How r u & how is everything going on?

Raj: All well & good. My kids are so happy what else would a father need.

Manik: But I hope u r not working day & night, compromising with ur health.

Raj: No don't worry... I m totally fit & fine. By the way work reminds me, how is work going on here?? I mean I know the reports are good & u r managing it very efficiently but is it all fine??

And that's where Manik gets all his bisuness sense from. Both son & dad are total bisuness freaks, just one mention of work & there they start with discussing everything around. Within half an hour, the entire table in the front lawn was filled with files, as Raj was going through all of them together. A lot of time passed away when Raj finally picked up the file of the hospital project along with Nandini's company & the moment he picked it up he said,

Raj: Ya... This project!! I really wanted to talk to u about this project. I think this is the first time I m seeing u interested in such a long term profit scheme. Good!!

Manik: Yeah!!

Raj: By the way, this company, The Kamal Group of Industries... I heard a lot about the owner of this company. And I m really willing to see who is this new girl, who has done so well in her bisnuss... I wanna know is she really so good.

Manik: Don't worry Dad, u'll see her soon.

Manik was feeling very proud to hear those words for nandini from his Dad. He was really excited to introduce Nandini to his father, when suddenly Raj said,

Raj: In fact, I would like to meet her today itself. Can u arrange a meeting with her??

Manik: Sure Dad!! Don't worry...

Soon he went away & Manik called up his manager & said, "Hello Mr. Sinha... Arrange a meeting of mine at the Moorthy Office, Today.... No nothing like that, no change... Its just a casual meeting... And make sure its done...."

He disconnected the call & then went to get ready.

Nandini's sleep got distrubed that morning by the voice of her phone. She opened her eyes & found herself in her room. She remembered how she slept in the farm house only, resting on Manik's chest & then smiled at the thought how she didn't even get up all the way as manik got her here. Just then her phone rang again, breaking her sequence of thoughts, she picked it up to see the caller ID as "Kapoor Uncle!!"

Nandini: Hello Kapoor Uncle..

Mr. Kapoor: Hello beta, Good morning!!

Nandini: Good Morning Uncle...

Mr. Kapoor: Beta, I called to inform u that Mr. Malhotra wants to have a meeting today. Should I say a yes to him or not.

Nandini: Manik!!

Mr. Kapoor: Yes, his manager called me some time back.

Nandini: Ohk Uncle, Its 8:30 now, I'll reach the office by 10, u call them any time.... By the way is there something important, he said.

Mr. Kapoor: No no, he called for a casual meeting.

Nandini: Ohk Uncle see u soon.

Nandini disconnected the call & got up from the bed, she freshened up & then was about to call Manik, when her phone beeped with a msg.

"Good Morning my Star.... Since I got the conformation of our meeting, I guess u r already up.... Hope I didn't disturb ur sleep last night!! See u soon at ur office... <3 "

Nandini smiled reading this & soon got ready for work. She took out a nice black pant with a pink top. Along with it a black white formal coat completed her look. She left her hair straight open & applied a bit formal make up & she was all ready for work. She had her breakfast & reached the office where Mr. Kapoor told her that he had arranged the meeting at 10:30, she thanked him & moved towards her cabin. She was going through some important files when her intercom buzzed & the receptionist said that the Manik had arrived, she ordered to let them up. And 5 minutes later there was a knock at the door, after which Mr. Kapoor entered & said, "Excuse me ma'am!!"

Nandini: Yes!!

Nandini said slowly & lifted up her eyes from the file to see manik enter the room followed by another man, maybe in his 50's. Nandini got a formal smile on her face & got up from her chair as they walked closer. She stretched her hand forward for a handshake towards Manik & said,

Nandini: Hello... Good Morning Mr. Malhotra!!

Manik smiled & shaked hands with her saying,

Manik: Good morning Ms. Moorthy!!

He then turned towards his dad & said,

Manik: Ms. Moorthy, meet the owner of the Malhotra empire, my father, Mr. Raj Malhotra...

Nandini was surprised to hear this & though she tried to hide it in her formal smile, manik did notice it. Nandini shaked hands with Raj & said,

Nandini: Hello Sir, it is really nice to meet u... Please have a seat.

All three of them sat & Manik said,

Manik: Sorry for this urgent meeting Ms. Moorthy but Dad wanted to know about the proceedings of the project.

Nandini: Ohk sure sir, one minute.

She turned towards Mr. Kapoor & said, "Mr. Kapoor Plz!!". He simply nodded at her & left the cabin. Nandini opened up something on her laptop & turned the screen slightly towards the Malhotra's. It had some photographs & as they saw it she said,

Nandini: sir, this is the land which we have selected for our hospital & as required your team has already started with the construction under my team. The entire design of the building is strictly as per the hospital's requirements & to make sure of this, we have appointed a few Doctor's to keep a look over the architects. If everything goes well then I m sure this hospital will be ready in around 2 months or so. And the main task regarding the purpose, my team has already started working on the reports of the poor children & BPL families.

Just them Mr. Kapoor walked back in with a file & handed it over to Nandini. Nandini opened the file & passed it to raj saying,

Nandini: Sir these r the reports which we hv prepared till now... And u can also see the estimate profit that we can get by this project & to my experience I think by the time we complete the report, our profit will rise up to four times.

Raj went through the reports properly & Manik smiled at Nandini. He knew she was nervous about Raj's reaction but still he couldn't see even a pinch of nervousness on her face as she very well know how to hide her emotions. She explained the report to Raj & then Raj looked up to her & smiled,

Raj: Good work Ms. Moorthy, impressive...

Nandini: Thank u Sir... And plz call me Nandini.

Raj: Oh sure... And I should really say, u hv very well proved that whatever I heard about u was absolutely correct.

Nandini smiled broadly & said,

Nandini: Thank u very much sir, I m glad, I did that.

Raj: Ohk, so now I just wish to have a veiw on the site myself.

Nandini: Oh sure sir, whenever u want.

Raj: Ohk, so tommorow morning, if its fine by u...

Nandini: Tommorow is no problem sir, but I m a bit busy till the evening... If u don't mind can we have it at around 6:30.

Raj: Ohh thats absolutely fine...

Both Manik & nandini smiled at it & then Raj got up saying,

Raj: Ohk so thank u Nandini...

Nandini & Manik too got up & nandini again shoke hands with Raj saying,

Nandini: My pleasure sir, so see u tommorow at the site.

Raj: yeah!!

After this Manik too shaked hands with Nandini & then turned to leave. But right before leaving her cabin he turned around & winked towards Nandini. Nandini smiled at it & sat back at her seat. Both Manik & raj left her office & in the car manik asked,

Manik: Dad u liked the project?

Raj: Ohh yes, it was really good... I must say that girl, though small in age, is really good at her work.

Manik: Yeah!!

Manik smiled at it & then asked,

Manik: so, now ready to meet Fab5?? Should I call them?

Raj: Ohh yes... I want to meet Mukti especially....

Manik: Ohk!!

Manik took out his phone & msged fab5,

"Party at my place, everyone reach ASAP.... Got a surprise for u all!!"

After this he msged Nandini,

"Wow Ms. Moorth... U really impressed Dad haan... Very nyc!! Chalo now that u hv met Dad, now its time for him to meet the real nandini... So, my place ASAP!! Fab5 is also coming, we are gonna celebrate our victory along with Dad.

Just as he sent this is phone rang & it was Fab5 on a group conversation.

Manik: Hello Guys!!

Mukti: Hey Bhai..

Aliya: Guys, I was just thinking, lets call Nandini as well... I mean she too won the compitetion yesterday... It will be fun to include her as well... Right??

Dhruv: Absolutely Guys... What say??

Manik smiled at it & said,

Manik: Don't worry I'll call her.

Soon they disconnected the call & Manik saw Nandini's msg,

"U sure, I should come??"

Manik smiled at it & replied, "Yes, bcoz before me... All of Fab5 wants u to join us... Now don't think much & come along...

Manik & Raj reached the Malhotra Mansion soon. Right after an hour, Fab4 entered making a loud noise,

Mukti: Bhai.... We r home!!!

Mukti shouted & Manik walked down hearing her voice.

Manik: hey guys!!

They all hugged each other & then settled down.

Aliya: Manik, whats the surprise u were saying about??

And before Manik could say anything a voice said from behind, "Here it is!!"

All of them turned to see Raj walking downstairs.

Mukti: DAD!!

Mukti ran towards him & got over him taking him in a hug...

All the others too hugged him while Mukti had got tears in her eyes. Raj broke the hug with her & removed her tears.

Raj: Why r u crying??

Mukti: I m not crying!! I don't cry dad...

Mukti removed her tears while all the others laughed at her.

Mukti: When did u come??

Raj: Just last night!! But congratulations for your another victory!!

Cabir: Its really good to see u Uncle.... Ab party me aur bhi mazza ayega....

Raj smiled at them & they all again sat down. All of them talked about different things. Raj had always been a fatherly figure for all of them. And thus they were very attached to him. Half an hour later, Cabir suddenly noticed Nandini entered,

Cabir: Nandu!!

Cabir got up & walked towards her. Nandini smiled & walked in, Cabir took her in a side hug & walked back with her. Nandini didn't noticed manik's dad sitting there as his back was facing her. Nandini walked closer.

Nandini: hi guys!!

Mukti got up & hugged nandini. Just then Raj noticed Nandini & stood up in surprise. Mukti smiled & said,

Mukti: Dad meet nandini, Cabir's childhood sister like friend & our new friend...

Raj smiled at Nandini & Nandini joined her hands & said,

Nandini: Namaste Mr. Malhotra!!

Raj smiled at it & moving his hand on her hand he said,

Raj: Let Mr. Malhotra be in the office only, here as hello is replaced by Namaste, just like that Mr. Malhotra should be replaced by Raj uncle.

Nandini smiled & said,

Nandini: Ohk Uncle...

Cabir: Have u both met before??

Raj: Yes we just had an official meeting an hour back. By the way Nandini, the way u talked to Manik in the office, could have never known that u both are frndzz,...

Nandini smiled slightly & said,

Nandini: Thats bcoz I like to keep my personal & professional lives far apart.

Raj: Good!!

All of them smiled & they sat down. Raj turned towards Manik, & saw him looking at Nandini. He smiled at it as he knew that something new was going on in his son's life.
