"Taehyung , look here & smile." Hoseok said with a smirk and the aforementioned glared at him before smiling at the camera.
It was finally the day of engagement and still he has some hopes...I mean he knows that he can't escape this engagement but he knows he can do anything to stop his wedding.
Hiya is really messing with him. Once they will get engaged, he'll show her real wrath beneath his smiling face. He will hurt her each single chance he gets.
"Cross the word n' hope to die, welcome to my darker side." Hiya hummed the song with a teasing smirk while her hands were wrapped around Taehyung's.
Taehyung didn't react at all. He doesn't want to react and let this attention whore rot like this. Dark side? Huh? You'll witness what actual darkness is, just wait and watch.
"well don't you both look perfect together?" Hoseok said after looking at the picture which he just clicked and smiled sweetly.
Yoongi was standing there, right next to Taehyung, he rolled his eyes and fake coughed. He had seen enough cringe today.
Hoseok looked at yoongi and hesitantly smiled, he missed him very much. But his smile grew bigger when yoongi smiled back at him.
"You look so handsome today, m- yoongi-ssi." Hoseok complimented him, trying to initiate a conversation with his angry meow meow.
"Thanks hobi.. you look stunning too." The man with pale white complexion replied.
Hiya side eyed the conversation between the two and huffed. " well I'm also here." She said while pouting.
"You look pretty too." Yoongi complimented, and it was true that she was really pretty.
"Hobi?"
"Yes?"
"I need a little help from you. Actually namjoonie uncle i-"
"Its okay yoongi. I'll come with you." Hoseok offered and yoongi nodded, guiding him towards a room.
As soon as they reached the room, Yoongi closed the door after them. Hoseok was pretty confused when he saw that instead of Uncle Namjoon , yoongi's boyfriend Jin was sitting on the bed with his muscles stressed.
"Wait why he is here? You said tha-"
"Hobi, listen to me. You are supporting the wrong person here. Why won't you listen to me once? Hiya is a lyi-"
"just shut up yoongi. Don't accuse her." Hoseok defended Hiya.
"Your bestie is right, hoseok. Please help us to stop this engag-" Jin was cut off when hoseok started to speak.
"You called me here for this, yoongi? For brainwashing me against her? And bestie? You literally kicked our butts to be with this jin. I'm going...mmhhmmm." Hoseok gasped when someone suddenly shut his mouth by keeping a strong palm on it.
He didn't need to ask who it was cause the tattoos on the palm were enough clue. His crush was shushing him and now he is sure that it isn't just a crush but something more meaningful than it, something similar to what they call as 'love' .
"No drama sweetheart ." Jungkook said in a deep tone and Hoseok was rooted to the ground for few seconds.
Jungkook pulled him by his wrist and made him sit on the bed. He cupped his face, making heat rush up to the other male's cheeks.
"We aren't lying. If you don't trust us then you can just stay out of it. Don't support anyone, neither us nor her. She is really destroying our lives and you are helping her too. But still we don't hate you 'cause we know that you yourself is suffering." Jungkook said and hoseok confusedly looked at him.
"Y-you're making no sense," Hoseok replied, his voice unsteady, a frown settling over his usually warm face. Yoongi exhaled heavily, as if bracing himself to break through Hoseok's doubt.
"Listen to me, Hoseok. Imagine this: Jeongguk develops a crush on both you and Hiya. He tries to win over either one of you, but when he fails, he decides to drive a wedge between you and her instead. Is that fair? You can't force feelings. And yet, if he tries to punish you both by tearing apart your friendship just because you couldn't return his feelings, that's plain wrong, isn't it? Worse still-" Yoongi's voice dropped, becoming nearly a whisper, but each word landed with sharp clarity. "If he drugs you, hoping to take advantage of you, but fails...then, in a twisted move, he accuses you of assault. Just because he couldn't control you, just because he couldn't make you his. Wouldn't that ruin everything you've worked for, everything you've ever been?"
Hoseok's gaze fell, fingers nervously intertwining as he processed Yoongi's words. Yoongi's intensity was almost overwhelming, his passion urging Hoseok to see the injustice, the danger.
"Now, think about Taehyung and Jimin. They're going through the same hell," Yoongi continued, his voice softer but edged with a bitter truth. "If he does this, their lives-Jimin's career, Taehyung's future-will be destroyed. And even if Taehyung marries her, do you think he'll love her? No. Love isn't even the question-he'll resent her. He'll hate her with a disdain colder than ice. Her life will be nothing but loneliness, mocked and ignored by his family, and by everyone close to him."
Yoongi's gaze bore into Hoseok, searching for understanding. "As her best friend, could you truly want that future for her?"
Hoseok looked away, his fingers trembling as they traced the lines on his palms, replaying Yoongi's words, each detail weighing heavier than the last. He couldn't imagine Hiya, his friend since childhood, trapped in such an existence.
"Y-you said...blackmailing? When did she-?" Hoseok's voice trailed off, the shock apparent in his eyes.
"She has a clip," Jin spoke up, his voice laced with both frustration and pity. "A recording of Taehyung and Mr. Wang...together. She's using it to hold him captive in this nightmare."
Hoseok's eyes widened in disbelief, the words settling over him like a lead weight. "Taehyung...had...s-sex with a teacher?" he stammered, his expression a mix of disbelief and confusion.
Jeongguk let out a humorless chuckle, bitterness tainting his usual playfulness. "Exactly, Hoseok. Taehyung's not exactly innocent. He's a...a flirt, sure. But does that mean Hiya should trap him into a life he'll despise?"
Hoseok's voice was barely a whisper. "B-but aren't you guys...rich? Why would you be a-afraid of it?" His gaze darted between Yoongi, Jin, and Jeongguk, searching for answers.
Jin leaned in, his voice somber, almost mournful. "Everyone assumes that because we have money, nothing can touch us. But our honor, our families' respect-those matter more than any fortune. Our parents' disappointment would destroy us. And Taehyung..." Jin hesitated, his gaze softening. "He cares about Mr. Wang. He's a broken man, Hoseok. Taehyung understands that-he's seen it. His family despises him, treats him like an outcast. The only thing that keeps him going is sports, training his students, seeing them succeed. If that clip gets out, he'll be ruined-suspended, maybe even imprisoned.
"It wasn't some reckless fling," Jin continued. "It's mutual, an understanding between two lonely souls. For Taehyung, it's a way of comforting a man who's lost everything, who pours his own pain into helping others. Can you imagine, Hoseok? Taehyung is ready to throw away his future just to protect his...his friend, a friend who's only known rejection."
Hoseok's gaze lowered, guilt gnawing at him as the image of their cheery, spirited sports teacher crumbled into something raw, something tragic. He'd never have imagined that Mr. Wang's gentle smile hid so much suffering, or that Hiya could use that pain as leverage.
"Please don't tell anyone, Hoseok," Jeongguk whispered, gripping Hoseok's hands tightly. Hoseok nodded, feeling the weight of their trust settle heavily on his shoulders.
"Hobi," Yoongi's voice softened, calling Hoseok's attention back to him. "You, Hiya, and I-we grew up in that orphanage together. I found you when no one else would look your way, remember? We were a team, then Hiya joined us. I know you're afraid of losing her-that's why you're bending over backwards to keep her close. But aren't we your friends too? Just this once...for our sake, stand with us. Don't let her hurt everyone because you're afraid of her leaving. You'll still have us, Hobi."
A pause hung in the air, thick with tension and unspoken fears, each of them waiting for Hoseok's answer.
Hoseok glanced up, the conflict in his eyes slowly giving way to a spark of resolve. "O-okay," he whispered, his voice barely audible, yet carrying a promise.
"I-I'm so sorry, yoonie. You both were the only ones in this world for me. You left me , so I was s-scared that she would too. So I did everything to be a perfect friend for her. So that she won't find m-me useless... and if I go against her, she will d-dump me too. I just want someone to stay with me, Am I too greedy? Is it all my fault?" Hoseok teared up and in a blink of eyes, three men were hugging the shit out of him.
"I'm sorry for leaving you, Hobi," Yoongi murmured, his voice thick with regret as he reached out, gently brushing his thumb over Hoseok's furrowed brow. "But I couldn't stand by and support something so wrong. Please...come back to me." His gaze softened, a rare vulnerability in his eyes as he leaned forward to press a gentle, lingering kiss to Hoseok's forehead. "No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side."
Hoseok's chest tightened, the familiar warmth of Yoongi's presence making his own remorse all the more palpable. Before he could say anything, Jin stepped forward, his usually strong voice reduced to a trembling whisper.
"Me too, Hobi. I'll be your best friend, always," Jin's voice cracked, but he pressed on, his eyes shining with sincerity. "I'll support you through anything, and I won't hold this against you. We all...we all just want to make things right. I love my brothers-so much. And I can't watch Taehyung suffer like this. Please," Jin's voice wavered, the weight of his plea evident in every syllable, "I'm begging you, help us."
The sight of Jin, his voice raw and broken, cut through Hoseok's heart. Guilt surged within him, twisting into a knot of regret and helplessness. These were his friends-the ones who had stood by him through every trial, every dark moment. And here they were, ready to forgive, to embrace him despite everything.
"we won't just be friends. We can live like a family. You are so precious hoseok. You are diamond which everyone should cherish. If you were a part of our family, would you let someone ruin our life? No. Please help us." Jungkook said while ruffling the other's hairs.
"O-okay," Hoseok muttered, barely audible as he looked down, the weight of the decision settling on him like a heavy cloak.
"REALLY?" The others shouted in unison, their voices a mix of disbelief and hope that brightened the dim room.
Hoseok glanced up, the barest hint of a smile breaking through his guilt. "Y-yeah," he murmured, his voice wavering. "I'm sorry...for everything. What do I need to do?"
Yoongi's eyes softened, a relieved smile playing at his lips as he stepped closer, wrapping his arms around Hoseok in a tight hug. "It's simple," he said quietly. "You just need to...steal her phone and reset it. Once we do that, she'll lose her leverage."
Hoseok exhaled slowly, nodding as he returned the hug, the warmth and strength of Yoongi's embrace giving him a sense of comfort he hadn't felt in a long time. "Okay," he whispered again, more firmly this time, as though steadying himself.
★✰✯✩☆✰
I mean Jimin cares for Tae but so does his other brothers. So they won't sit quiet and watch Hiya ruin Tae's life.
I'm happy that Hoseok is on their side now.
