My phone buzzed on my nightstand as I laid on my bed, reading my book. I let out a groan as I reached over, answering.

"Hellooooo"
I answered
"Hey muffin"
The sweet voice of my boyfriend on the other side of the phone cooed.
"I know it's short notice, but would you maybe like to come over for a bit? Lilly has been bugging to see you. And I'm not going to lie, I'd love to see you too."
Hearing this sent heat to my cheeks.
"Uhh yeah sure, I'd love to"
"Great, see you in a bit?"
He asked
"Yep, see you in a bit"
I confirmed.

(Smol time skip)

The door swung open, the second I stepped onto the welcome mat.
"Welcome back to the Kippen household, glad to have you"
Amber chimes as she motioned me to come in. I gave her a quick hug, saying thank you.
"TJ's upstairs, second door on the left."
She told me with a knowing look.
"Oh, okay. Thanks!"

"TJ.."
I whispered as I opened the door, only to find the room empty.
"Now!"
Suddenly four kids and my amazing boyfriend came tumbling out of the closet.
I screamed, jumping at least a foot in the air.
"Arggg, TJJJJ"
I groaned through laughter.
"Hi"
He grinned back at me.
"CYRUS!!"
Lilly yelled, running to wrap her arms around my legs.
"Hey there, Lilly. Have you been good?"
She jumped into my arms giggling
"Yes I have!!!"
TJ walked over, lifting her from my arms and back onto her bed.
"It's getting late, you guys know what that means?"
TJ asked them, leaning closer to the bed fir more affect.
"Story time!"
They all squealed. I let out a small giggle, seeing how well TJ was with his siblings.
Charlotte, the oldest of them all, climbed out from under her blanket, grabbing a book from the shelf.
"The ABC Disney book"
TJ read allowed. Each of the kids nodded their heads rapidly in approval as TJ began to read.

By the end of the story, I was settled comfortably on the large rocking chair in the corner as he kissed each of their foreheads goodnight. I stood slowly, walking to wrap my arms around TJs waist. I leaned my head against his back, breathing in his scent. What I felt in that moment can only be described as pure love. Love for my boyfriend and the way he treats his siblings. Love for the way he treats me. TJ quietly motioned for me to follow him into the hallway. I complied, tiptoeing to the door.

The second we had entered his room, he wrapped his arm around my waist, holding me close. And I knew it was time. I held his face in my hands, stood on my toes, and connected our lips.

The kiss was slow, and filled with love. TJ pulled me closer, erasing any distance from between us. I relished his sweet touch and taste of cheery from his chapstick.

Eventually we both had to pull away for air, both panting. Our foreheads together as I stared lovingly into his eyes.
"I love you. So so much"
I whispered, still not being able to describe my feelings well enough in words.
"I love you too, Cyrus"
Our lips connected once more.
