25 - Take Care

"WHAT?!" Undyne screamed. She lunged at him. "NO, NEVER, ASRIEL!" She screeched. She had anger in her eyes, she clearly never wanted for Asriel to even touch Frisk.

Why would he want Frisk to even be near him? And for three days in this matter?

Asriel smirked. "I'll give you three days. I'd like to see you try and change me. It would be for my pure amusement. If you succeed, we shall discuss your reward depending on how you did. If you fail..." Asriel chuckled.

"I'm going to prepare both of your graves." He hissed. Frisk paled, and she gripped the hem of her jacket tighter. Her large hazel orbs showed pure fear.

Asriel continued. "After all this time, not a single human has ever been this brave, so I'm curious to how all of this will turn out." He chuckled demonically. "And besides!"

He stared at Undyne and Frisk right in the eye. "It's not like she's going to live, either." He said lowly with a hateful glint in his eye.

Truthfully, Frisk reminded him of Chara. And not just because they look a little similar, and have the most IDENTICAL fashion sense, it's because of her bravery and courage. Her determination. Everything about Frisk reminded him of his lost best friend. He thought Frisk was different.

The True Asriel deep within his and Chara's soul was silently begging for all of this to be over. Everything was too painful, but Asriel couldn't feel it. He was close to soulless.

Close.

He walked out of the room with his maniacal laugh echoing through the halls.

That was it. Frisk's heart broke into two, and she dropped to the ground sobbing.

"Wh-What... No... Why.. Why me..?!" She said frustratingly. She punched the ground in pain as she sobbed.

Undyne gathered her strength and yanked off the ropes that tied her on the chair. She relaxed her mucsles and took a few deep breaths. She closed her eyes and formed a spear in her hand. Her eye had a bright yellow glow in them. She smiled at it, and the spear dissolved in thin air. Her strength and magic was stable again.

She sighed and walked towards Frisk.

When she reached her, she dropped to the floor beside her and enveloped her in a gentle hug. "Shh.. It's okay. It's okay..." She soothed, rubbing her back.

Frisk cried and let Undyne hug her. She let everything out-- her sorrow, brokenness, and fear. She's been through so much in her little time in the underground. She feared what would happen next. She had always feared the future from the very start.

"Frisk... You'll be okay... I promise--"

"No I won't!" Frisk yelled. Her voice cracked in between the sentence, and tears were flowing down her face. Her eyes were a bit red and her breathing was ragged. Her hair was falling in front of her face and her knuckles were turning white because of her tight grip on her sweater. She was slowly breaking. The whole world meant nothing to Frisk right now, and for her, herself was the most important thing that she had to care for.

She's been so busy trying to save and promise everyone, that she forgot about herself. Her pain and sadness were slowly building up inside her without her even realizing. And so here she was, sobbing broken tears.

It wasn't even quiet sobs. Loud, wracking cries were all over the room. She was shaking. She could feel the determination she used to get here leaving her body with every sob she let out.

"Frisk- FRISK. Listen to me!" Undyne harshly grabbed Frisk's shoulders, forcing her to face Undyne.

"Frisk, what you did out there? Was incredibly brave. I have NEVER met a single human in my entire life that was this determined and confident to save us all. And know you're scared. I know you're close to breaking-but please. Try..." Undyne held her hands.

"Try to hold on. Try to stay determined, because Frisk... You're our only hope." She whispered, staring into her hazel eyes.

Frisk stopped, and her sobs slowly died down. She stared down at her hands, which were bruised and scratched. There were bleeding cuts on her hands and arms. You could clearly tell that she suffered through hell and back just to get here.

But was this what she really wanted? Or did she think that dying would be more pleasent?

She didn't know. All she did know was that if she did this, she has a possibility of saving the entire Underground. And she was willing to take the risk, but...

There was also a huge possibility that she would die. Everything that she did to fight her way to the point of meeting Asriel, would be thrown to smithers. All her bruises and scars would be for nothing.

Everything, from falling into a bed of flowers, until she falls to the ground while bleeding to death.

Undyne's breath hitched in her throat. She bit her lip as Frisk slowly looked up to face her. She opened her mouth to talk, but hesitated.

"Just... Take care of yourself for the three days that I'm away..."
