Chapter 24.

Working at the library gave her the chance to interact with most the town, so when a person she didn't recognize showed up one day, it was obvious he was new.

After applying for a library card and recieving one, Jent -for that was the name on his card- said something that stuck in her mind. "He doesn't believe himself worthy. Make him believe."

Then taking his book he left, leaving Tylorie in a shocked stupor.

She quickly snapped herself out of it, but what the Jent had said stuck in her mind for the rest of the day.

He didn't believe himself worthy?

She knew he had made a lot of mistakes, but certainly he gave himself some esteem.

Why should she even listen to some stranger? For all she knew he could be completely crazy and it have nothing to do with HIM.

She layed in her bed that night pondering it, unable to fall asleep.

She pondered as she got up the next morning, pondered as she ate her breakfast, pondered as she took her treck towards him like she did every morning.

The same Jent returned that day to the library. Checking out another book, he said "He believes he puts you in danger."

Before she had time to question the man he was out of the building and nowhere to be seen on the streets outside.

She shook her head in frustration.

The next morning was a Sunday, she didn't open the library on Sundays, even if she did no one would show up. Church-goers and such.

Outside Dallen's base, she couldn't urge herself to leave, waiting hours out there for no reason.
She had just convinced herself that sitting there was pointless (duh) when the gates swung open and out stepped Dallen.

"I know you're out here." she heard him call out.

Moving out of her comfortable shade, she stood in front of him with an unapologetic stance. Tilting her head sideways , giving him a smirk. "And I know you're out here, it doesn't take a genius to observe."

He smiled at her spunk, amazed at how confident she could be toward him.

Staring at him smiling, she made up her mind. "It's Tylorie, my name."

She didn't give him a chance to reply, heading down the mountain as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest.

His eyes went wide, he couldn't believe she actually told him her name. That she thought high enough of him to trust him with that information, even after all he had caused in her life.

He would take her name and treasure it, as he would never be able to treasure her.
