Chapter 12.

It had been another month and things had gone pretty much back to normal.

Tylorie was back to residing in her cell, and Dallen was as grouchy as ever.

They had their daily duels, and Dallen would always ask for her identity, she would always refuse to tell.

Dallen's boss had gone on an extended visit to another branch of The Organization, so there was no danger from him.

Tylorie was slowly improving on her fighting skills. Dallen and her had always been about even, but sure enough she was starting to win more of their battles.

She trained with vigor, that being her only goal she had. Everything else was gone or out of reach.

She hadn't forgiven Dallen, but she was less hostile towards him than she had been at the beginning of that month.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"Your name?" he asked, knowing he wouldn't get the answer.

"No." she adamantly said.

He shrugged, he'd figure it out, just not harm her ever again while doing it.

"How am I supposed to ask you out if I don't know your name?" he asked lightly.

She looked at him in shock for a moment, then caught the teasing look in his eyes.

Smirking, she said, "You'll just have to use your imagination, lover boy." raising one of her eyebrows in annoyance.

She didn't trust him, and he wouldn't get to her shut down heart no matter how hard he tried, not again.

You can't win something that is already lost.

Her heart was lost, he couldn't get to it, she wouldn't let him.

"You zoned off." he accused, bringing her back to real life.

"Hmm?" she asked, not really caring what he said. She shook her head, "Let's get back to training." and she started on her punching bag, ignoring him.

He sighed, he knew she was giving him this treatment because of what he'd done. He had tried to explain to her, but she wouldn't listen, and deep down, he knew he didn't have an excuse.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"Do you have her identity?" the voice of his boss came through the phone, promising trouble.

"Who she is?" he stalled.

"Yes! That is what an identity is!" raged the boss, patience was not one of his virtues, if he had any.

"No." Dallen said with a steady voice, showing fear would never get him out of this.

"You don't!" surprise almost in his voice, if Dallen didn't know how to detect it, he wouldn't have.

"Get the information, or else.." his boss let his imagination finish the sentence.

"Of course." Dallen said with no hesitation, hesitation would raise suspicion.

"Good." his boss said and hung up, a formal goodbye was not how he worked.

Dallen sighed, he didn't want to do this, but he would have to.
