It's a very warm summer day with Tyler and his family and they were all just starting to wake up. Korey was already downstairs making coffee.

"Hi, mama!" Rory was suddenly at Tyler's bed. She was looking at him with her big blue eyes.

"Oh, goodness." Tyler put a hand on his chest.

"That gets me every time! Hi. What is it, baby?" Tyler asks Rory.

"I want bweakfast, Mama." The toddler says happily, and patiently too.

"Okay! I'm getting up." Tyler smiles and stretches his arms as he yawns.

Rory walks away, going to the stairs and carefully climbing down. Tyler begins to get dressed and washes his face.

Sparrow was going downstairs at the same time as Rory, and he smiles when he notices.
"Good morning, Rory!"

"Morning," Rory says, focused on not losing balance.

Sparrow giggles at her intense concentration, but he makes sure not to get ahead so she doesn't trip.

Archer and Hazel were also awake, getting dressed. Part of what took them longer was deciding on clothes. They both cared about how their outfits looked.

Archer finally decides on a rainbow shirt with some denim shorts. Hazel picks out a dress with animals on it.

"Daddy!" Rory says happily, running over to Korey.

"Hi, Rory! Good morning!" Korey says, kissing Rory's head as she hugs Korey's leg.

"Morning! Daddy, I want bweakfast." Rory says to Korey, causing him to laugh.

"Do you?" Korey asks playfully. "It's like you eat breakfast every day!" He jokes.

"I do! Pwease." Rory didn't fully understand. But she wasn't upset.

"I know! Daddy's just joking. Of course I'll make you some. What would you like?" Korey grins.

Rory thinks about it for a second. Then she realises what she wants. "I want eggs and avocado!"

"With some toast or yogurt?" Korey asks happily.

"Yogurt!" The 2-year-old declares with a grin.

"Okay! I'll make some! Do you wanna watch something on TV? Do you wanna watch Ms. Rachel?" Korey asks Rory.

"YA!" Rory says jumping around happily.

"All right." Korey says and goes to the other room, putting a video on for Rory.

Rory sits down and watches it while he begins to cook.

"Can I have some scrambled eggs too, please? I can make my own toast." Sparrow asks politely.

"Of course! I'm making extra eggs for anyone who decides they want some." Korey says happily.

"Awesome!" Sparrow says with a big smile.

Rory giggles at the show she is watching as she cuddles with Crouton.

Korey's heart warms as he sees Rory cuddle with Crouton, just sitting there quietly.

Tyler, Archer and Hazel finally join the rest of the family downstairs, Hazel sitting down next to Rory.

"Good morning, Rory! And Uncle Korey!" Archer says happily.

"Good morning! I like your outfit, Archer!" Korey replies.

"Thanks!" Archer smiles widely.

"Morning!" Rory tells her big brother and glances over at him.

*Archer's shirt with denim shorts and Hazel's dress*

"Good morning, Rory! And hi, Crouton!" Archer says with a big grin.

"Archer! Wanna pway?" Hazel asks Archer.

"If you want but breakfast will be done soon!" Archer says as he hugs and kisses Rory and Hazel.

Rory smiles back at her big brother, her attention now on Korey and Tyler.

"Yeah! We can pway with these!" Hazel picks up some Little People toys. She hands Archer two.

Archer sits down and begins to play the game with her.

Tyler was helping Korey make breakfast, while Sparrow was making toast for himself. "Hey, Archeroo. Want any toast?"

"Sure! With apricot jam, please." Archer looks at his brother, still smiling.

"I want toast too!" Hazel says to Sparrow happily.

"With strawberry jam?" Sparrow asks Hazel.

"Uh huh!" Hazel says with a cheeky smile.

Sparrow nods and puts another piece of bread in the toaster. Archer liked whole wheat and he liked sourdough.

"I think we should tell them, either at breakfast or in the car." Tyler was saying to his fiancé.

"Around the breakfast table sounds perfect." Korey says, kissing Tyler and rubbing Tyler's stomach.

Tyler and Korey are expecting again, soemthing that wasn't planned but they weren't preventing either.

Their families have joked that they might as well have all of the kids they want before they get married and that has happened since they got engaged.

"All right, breakfast time, guys!" Tyler says to the kids, who all come over to the dining table.

"Looks good!" Hazel says cheerfully.

"It does!" Rory agrees. She climbs into a chair next to Tyler. She was a bit tall for her age, so she could easily climb.

They all begin eating, talking about normal things at first. Hazel was talking about her dream she had last night. Then Archer was talking about piano.

"Oh, wow. You're getting really good at piano." Korey smiles. "Also, we have two things to tell you."

"Oh! What is it?" Sparrow half-shouts eagerly. He was slightly impatient.

"Well, the first thing is that we're going back-to-school shopping with Dad Troye, Connor and his kids." Tyler explains.

The kids cheer with excitement. Rory just copies them because she was in that phase.

"I know! And the second thing.." Korey takes Tyler's hand to hold. "Is that Mama is pregnant. He's going to have a baby."

Rory looks confused at the idea. She wasn't mad or anything, just confused.

"A BABY! YAY!" Hazel cheers with lots of excitement.

"That's so cool!" Archer says with a big smile.

"Yeah, it is!" Sparrow says smiling at his twin brother.

"Rory is gonna be a big sissy wike me!" Hazel says happily.

"She is! That's so awesome. She'll be a great big sister." Tyler nods.

The more they talk about a baby, the more Rory realises what it meant. "I'm a baby," she says, still confused.

"Yes, you are! And you're still our baby! But we will have another, little bitty baby. To live with us." Tyler was being very clear.

"Being a big sissy is fun, Rory!" Hazel says with a big grin.

"You'll always be my baby, Rory. You and Hazel." Korey says to the girls smiling at them.

They both smile back at Korey. Their smiles were similar to his. But they both had features of Tyler too.

"I think it'll be fun having another little sibling!" Archer says. He remembered how he telt when Hazel was born, but that was a few years ago. Now he wasn't so jealous.

"Me too! I wonder if they'll be musical? We are, and Hazel and Rory seemed to pick up on it?" Sparrow wonders.

"Maybe! You four can be anything you want to be." Tyler says as he takes a bite of food.

"I wanna be a mommy!" Hazel says with a big smile

"You can be a mommy when you grow up!" Korey says with a grin.

"I wanna be doggy doctor!" Rory says with food all over her face.

"You wanna be a vet? That's a really big job to have when you are an adult!" Tyler says to Rory, wiping off her mouth.

"She does love all animals." Korey comments, thinking about it. He eats some of his own food.

"Yeah! I do." Rory says with a giggle. She had finished her food by now and was just listening and talking.

The twins are done eating too, so Sparrow goes upstairs to get dressed. Archer continues talking to his sisters.

Tyler gives Korey a kiss and then eats some more food. Him and his boyfriend were usually the last ones to finish, since they had to help the kids a lot.

Hazel is done with breakfast, and she clears her plate before going to her toys.

Rory also clears her plate, and starts to go upstairs. "I need to get dressed!" She tells her parents.

"Yes, okay. You go get dressed now. Thank you." Tyler acknowledges her words.

"Archer! Pway!" Hazel says as she runs over to Archer

"Okay, we can okay while we wait for everyone!" Archer says as Hazel cheers.

"Mama, can you help pwease?" Rory asks Tyler, needing help getting dressed.

"Sure, I can help you! What would you like to wear?" Tyler asks Rory.

"A dwress!" Rory says, twirling around happily.

"Okay! Which dress?" Tyler asks and he waits patiently.

"This one!" Rory pulls out a blue dress. She also gets some shorts to go under, because she liked the feeling of them.

"Oh, that one. Sure! Yeah, this one is a bit hard to put on, isn't it?" Tyler says to Rory and she nods

Rory puts the shorts on herself but lets Tyler help with the dress.

"Do you want your hair done, too?" Tyler asks happily.

"No, thanks, Mama!" Rory shakes her head, her hair looking a bit wild.

"Well, it needs to be brushed some, sweet girl! We don't want any knots." Tyler says as he plays with Rory's hair.

"Okay." Rory says as she huffs, not liking getting her hair done.

Tyler carefully brushes Rory curly brown hair while Rory thankfully sits still.

"Good job. It's all done now. Thank you." Tyler says, standing up.

"No more things for my hair," Rory says, being clear.

"No, I only had to brush it. You don't have to wear any bows or clips or anything else." Tyler agrees.

Rory looks in the mirror and smiles, doing a little spin. "So pretty!" She says happily.

"You are so pretty! Now we need to get our shoes on so we can go shopping." Tyler explains.

"Yay!" Rory cheers loudly as she runs around.

"Sparrow, are you almost done?" Tyler says out loud.

"I'm just styling my hair!" Sparrow says with a grin as he opens the bathroom door.

"Okay! Don't put too much cologne on either. You about choked everyone out last time." Tyler says playfully to Sparrow.

*Rory and Sparrow's outfits*

"I won't, mom!" Sparrow says back with sass. You could almost hear the eye roll in his voice.

Rory is now back downstairs, getting her shoes on. She was pretty independent.

Korey gets the dishwasher running so it'll be done when they come home, and he makes sure to give Crouton food and water.

"I am ready!" Rory calls out. She looks at Archer and Hazel playing.

Rory decides to grab her favorite soft toy, her tiger, with her. She was bringing it everywhere lately.

"I'm ready too! We are just waiting for Sparrow and Mama." Korey says as he picks up Rory and tickles her, causing Rory to giggle loudly.

"I wanna wear my sparkly flip flops!" Hazel says happily, looking for her flip flops in the shoe bin.

"I'm going to wear my rainbow crocs!" Archer says with a smile.

Sparrow comes into the room where his brother and sisters were, making sure he wasn't forgetting anything.

Tyler gets his wallet and keys, and even sunglasses, taking a sip of water before waiting at the door.

Sparrow then looks at the shoe options, deciding to match Rory with his Adidas shoes.

"Oooh! We match!" Rory says when she notices Sparrow wearing the same shoes as her. She leans against Korey.

"We do! Isn't that cool?" Sparrow asks Rory.

"Uh huh! Sooooo cool!" Hazel says with a grin.

"Okay! Let me take Crouton out really quick and then we can go!" Tyler says.

"We took him out. He just got settled." Korey says to Tyler, rubbing his back.

"Oh, good." Tyler says in return, smiling softly.

Archer, Sparrow and Hazel all go out to the car, with Korey, Rory and Tyler following. Everyone gets in and buckles up.

"Can we listen to some music?" Sparrow asks gently.

"Of course!" Korey says happily.

"Daddy! Mama! Where are we going?" Hazel asks Korey and Tyler. Atleast it wasn't "Are we there yet?" question

"We are going to Target! I know you love Target!" Korey says to Hazel.

"YES!" Hazels cheers

"Me toooo!" Rory says as she giggles.

"What do you like about it?" Archer asks Hazel, already knowing the answer.

"The toys!" Hazel replies.

"That's fun. But we're going to get some school supplies! Like pencils, backpacks, erasers and other stuff like that!" Tyler says to Hazel.

"Awww." Hazel says back.

"It will still be fun! You can choose your own things for school too! You, Archer, Sparrow and maybe Rory will all get some new things." Tyler adds.

"Are you excited to start school, Rory? You and Hazel will be at the same school and see each other during play time." Korey says as Rory smiles.

"I wanna buy cwrayons!" Rory says as she cheers.

"You can! We have a list of things we need to get for you and the school!" Tyler explains to Rory.

"Coooool!" Rory says as she hugs her stuffy.

The youngest child bops along to the music playing on the radio, very in time with the beat.

Finally, they arrive at Target and get out of the car, putting masks on.

As Rory sits in the cart with her tiger, they begin to walk to the school supplies.

"Mama! Look!" Rory points at a backpack with Hello Kitty on.

"You like that backpack, Rory?" Tyler asks Rory and Rory happily nods.

"Uh huh!" Rory says with a big grin.

"Okay! Put it on the shopping cart." Tyler says as Rory cheers loudly.

Archer and Sparrow quickly pick out a JanSport backpack while picks out a backpack that is a unicorn.

"Mama! Daddy! There's Ava and Jack!" Hazel says as she sees Jack and Ava looking at another backpack display.

*Carson, Jack and Ava's outfits*

"Oh, we were going to go to them anyway! How cool." Korey says, pushing the shopping cart over to the side but closer to their friends.

"Hey, guys!" Archer says to Ava and Jack.

"Hi! We're just deciding on backpacks!" Jack says with enthusiasm, grinning.

"Hello! Hang on." Ava goes around the side and gets Connor, bringing him over. "Look, Daddy!"

"Oh, I see! Hello, you guys!" Connor says, Carson right behind him with a pencil case he just chose.

"Hi, Dad!" Sparrow and Archer both say in unison to Troye.

"Hey squirts!" Troye says causing the boys to laugh.

"Dad, can I go over Jacoby's house tomorrow?" Carson asks Connor as he texts on his phone like a typical thirteen year old does.

"Sure!" Connor says as Carson smiles.

"What are you guys looking at baby clothes like we will?" Korey says playfully to Connor and Troye.

Two months ago, Connor and Troye announced they were expecting their first child together. The already blended family has Connor's three he adopted as a single dad along with Troye's two boys from his relationship with Tyler. Everyone wondered why the engagement was extremely fast and this was why. Connor and Troye want to make sure Troye could legally adopt Connor's three other children and have no issues being on the birth certificate for their own child.

"Oh, yeah, we were looking a bit. We found some really cute onesies and pajamas." Connor answers with a shy smile.

"Not to mention little socks! They are tiny!" Troye laughs.

"I know! Baby socks are the smallest thing ever but it's so cute." Korey agrees.

Ava is looking at different items, interested in a lunchbox. "Dad, can I please get this?" She asks Connor.

"Sure, baby. You can get that as your lunch box. We are going to look at the supplies in just a minute. You have to get the supplies under the second grade category." Connor explains to Ava.

"So we are getting two siblings this year? That's so cool!" Archer says happily.

"You guys are having a baby too? Oh wow! Congratulations!" Connor says as he hugs Tyler and Korey.

"Makes sense why you have been sleeping non stop every time I call the boys. Congrats! So that means no wedding?" Troye says playfully to Korey and Tyler.

"I think Ty and I either will do a small ceremony with just the kids and then a reception later or wait until the baby is born. We aren't in any rush to get married." Korey explains as Hazel and Ava look at the different trinkets.

"We always said our engagement would be long ish." Tyler says as he laughs.

Connor laughs too. "It is indeed a long wait, but good on you. It's probably best to wait anyway. Then you won't have to worry about as much."

Rory is playing with her toy tiger, and intently listening to the adults talk while she looks at her brothers talk to Jack.

"I think I like the idea of waiting the whole time for one wedding event, it's easier. Of course the kids can still be involved - Rory and Hazel can be flower girls." Tyler nods.

"I think it'll be cute, our babies being close in age. They'd be friends no matter what, of course, but we'll go through the same stages!" Troye comments.

"And I am a baby," Rory says, still unsure how pregnancy worked. She barely grasped the concept of babies.

"Yes, you are! And soon you'll be a big sister." Connor says to her, smiling.

Rory just nods, smiling back at him. "Hm.
Big sister." She thinks about the idea.

"But you are always our baby." Korey reminds her, making sure she understands that she's not less loved.

Tyler and Korey have also been paying attention to Hazel and the boys as well as Rory, to ensure that nobody feels abandoned or too jealous later on. This was before they announced the pregnancy.

"Yeah." Rory says and leans forward in the cart, trying to get out. "Mama, I want be out," she asks.

"You want to get out? Oh, baby..." Tyler sighs, wanting to give her what she wants but knowing full well that if he takes her out of the shopping cart, she'll wander all over the place.

"I can watch her, babe." Korey says as he picks Rory up and stands her next to him.

Carson yawns, bored from this shopping trip already.

"Are we boring?" Troye asks Carson playfully.

"No, I'm just tired." Carson says.

"Well, that's why you don't stay up all night gaming." Connor says with some playful sass to his eldest son.

"But my EA College Football dynasty was so close to winning the championship." Carson explains to Connor.

"We are too gay for football games." Tyler says playfully.

"Hmm, true." Korey can't help but smile. "Okay, let's get some more supplies.

We've got backpacks and Carson has a pencil case, Ava has a lunchbox. Now onto the other stuff." Troye says, moving to a different aisle. The others follow.

"You need some coloured pencils, Ava.
Which one?" Troye asks.

Ava thinks and looks at the two different brands of the same thing. "These ones!
They're nice." She grabs a box and puts it in the shopping cart.

Rory begins to walk around, away from the others, but Korey brings her back.

"Stay over here, baby girl. Are you getting bored?" Korey says as Rory hugs his leg.

"Toys!" Rory says as she points down where the toy aisle is.

"We can look at the toys. But we need to look for school supplies first okay?" Korey says as he picks up Rory.  

"Hm, okay, Daddy." Rory doesn't look too pleased, but she also wasn't much of one to argue. Not unless she felt really strongly about something.

"Thank you." Korey says and Rory leans into him.

Archer, Sparrow and Jack grab the pencils, pens and erasers they all need. Hazel gets to choose some crayons.

"Can I get this one?" Hazel points at a package of glittery crayons.

"Well, school doesn't want that kind but we can get those for home!" Tyler explains to Hazel while picking the correct pack.

"Yay! I excited to use these, Mama!" Hazel says as she twirls.

"Me too' I bet they are gonna be nice!" Tyler says happily.

Carson does a silly face at Rory, causing her to giggle and smile.

"Aw, are you making Rory smile and laugh? She likes you." Connor says as he watches his eldest with Rory.

Out of all of Connor's three children, Carson had the most trauma from being in foster care. However, with lots of therapy and love Carson Jack and Ava are doing well.

"Yeah. She laughs a lot, I like that." Carson says with a little smile. He makes more silly faces and she giggles more.

Then Rory makes some funny faces at the teenager, which causes him to giggle a bit.

"You're funny, Rory. So silly." Carson says quietly.

Ava looks at Troye, after choosing something else she needed for school. "What else do I need to get?"

"Let's see! You need glue sticks, scissors and pencils." Troye says to Ava.

"Mom! I want this binder please!" Archer says as he holds up a rainbow binder.

"Sure, sweetie! That should work." Tyler agrees, smiling.

"Oooh, I like this binder!" Sparrow picks up a binder with geometrical shapes on it. "Can I get this please, Mom?"

"Yes, you can get that one! That looks nice too." Tyler nods as both boys put them in the cart.

Ava easily chooses pencils and glue sticks, with the help of Troye telling her the differences. But she's stuck on which color scissors to get.

"I'm between blue, pink and red." Ava says out loud.

"I think the blue is cute! It's a unique shade of blue too." Troye says as Ava smiles.

"You are so right! I'm getting these." Ava says with a big grin.

"Did you get everything you need, Cars?" Connor asks Carson.

"I need one of those fancy calculators." Carson says playing with his hair.

"I can order that on Amazon, it's cheaper." Connor says to Carson.

"Preschool school supplies is always fun to buy." Tyler says with a grin.

"I know! And younger elementary grades." Connor says as he smiles at Ava and Hazel looking at hair bows.

Rory is still being held by Korey happily looking around the store.

Korey was just grateful that the baby wasn't running around the whole store. He didn't mind holding her.

"I wike that," Rory points over at a pair of socks. They had flowers on them.

"Those are very cute. Ty, does Rory have enough socks?" Korey looks at his fiancé.

"I wike it, Mama," Rory points again for Tyler at the socks.

"We can get those! Many of Rory's socks don't have a pair or holes. I gotta organize the girls clothes." Tyler says as he sips on his water.

"Yay!" Rory says as she cheers.

Korey walks over to the socks and lets Rory pick up the socks she wants. It had five pairs. She was very pleased and she holds onto it happily, along with her tiger.

"Back to school shopping," Tyler says, grinning as he realizes he made an unintended joke.

"That's so cheesy." Sparrow says playfully and rolls his eyes.

Hazel chooses another item on the list, and Ava, Carson and Jack are done shopping for the supplies.

"Do you two have what you need? And you, Hazel?" Tyler asks curiously.

"We do! Just finished." Archer nods and Sparrow confirms too.

"I'm done too!" Hazel says proudly.

"Looks like everyone has everything they need for school! What should we do now?" Connor asks the kids.

"Eat!" Jack says as he smiles.

"We literally just ate." Troye says playfully.

"Boys eat non stop I've noticed." Connor says as he rubs his small baby bump.

"Oh, they do! They can snack all day and still be starving." Tyler says as he laughs. 

"Any kids growing, really. Hazel keeps telling us how she's hungry. So we give her food. Then she's hungry two hours after. Sometimes less." Korey sounds amused.

"That's always how it goes." Connor agrees.

"But we really do get hungry," Archer says, half paying attention.

"I know. We're just being dramatic." Tyler explains patiently.

"We have to get home and organize all of the supplies, right? So we could pay for this stuff, then grab lunch and after go home." Korey suggests.

"Let's all go out to eat! We need to catch up without the kids buying the whole store." Tyler says as Connor laughs.

"Yes! We gotta catch up. The kids haven't seen each other much this summer since we took my three to visit my family while Troye had music things to do." Connor says to Tyler and Korey.

"We go out!" Rory says and looks interested.

"Troye usually has music things to do." Tyler says and laughs.

"Yes, Rory, we will go out and have some lunch. We need to pay for these things first." Korey says to her, then he looks at Connor. "You're so right. That sounds fun, though."

"It was fun, the kids all enjoyed seeing my family more." Connor says to Korey.

"We need to get some updates pictures of the kids together. My parents want a picture with all five of them." Troye says to Connor.

"Me too!" Hazel says happily

"Yeah! Me too!" Rory says with a grin.

All of the adults awe at the girls cuteness even though they don't understand Troye's parents aren't their grandparents even though they spoil them just like they do Archer and Sparrow.

"We can take pictures of you guys, too. But we'll also get pictures of Archer, Sparrow, Carson, Jack and Ava." Troye explains to Rory and Hazel, amused.

Carson was not so amused. He was at the age where he was starting to resist photos of himself. It took some convincing to get him to cooperate. The girls are happy with that answer, and soon everyone is checking out and paying for the items they got.

"I wanna have my socks." Rory tells Korey, still in his arms. She was so interested in her new socks.

"You can have them as soon as we pay for them, okay?" Korey says to Rory and Rory nods hugging Korey.

Tyler scans Rory's socks and hands them back to her.

Rory smiles, looking happy and holding onto the new item. She thanks Tyler and watches as he scans the other stuff.

Sparrow glances at the machine that said the total price and notices the number going up significantly by each thing. "Why is everything really expensive?" He asks Tyler.

"Because when the pandemic happened, places lost a lot of money so they raised prices and now that pandemic is over they don't wanna lower the prices due to greed." Tyler says to Sparrow.

Sparrow frowns. "That's kind of terrible."
He says, having been unaware of the reason.

"I know it is. That's the way things work, unfortunately. But it also teaches us to be more resourceful and use what we have, or grow our own food, which is better for the environment anyway." Tyler says gently.

"I love growing veggies! That means they're always organic and in season." Archer says with insight.

"We can grow veggies some more! It was a lot of fun!" Tyler says as Archer nods.

"I wiked it too!" Hazel says happily.

"That was fun! And they turned out so well!" Sparrow says happily.

Finally, everybody finishes buying the things they needed, and they go to put things in their cars. Connor had has car accidentally right next to Tyler's.

As Tyler is putting bags in the trunk, he's talking to Connor and Troye.

"So, where should we go out for lunch?" Tyler asks, trying to think of places in his head that had vegetarian options.

"Qdoba!" Hazel says as she twirls happily.

"Does that place have vegetarian options though? I know you love the tacos there, Hazel." Korey says hugging Hazel.

Tyler is lifting up Rory and putting her in her car seat as he answers, "it does! I remember a few options, but I'm sure there's even more." Archer grins when he hears this, happy that Tyler and Korey were being respectful of his preferences. He wasn't a full vegetarian, but was pretty plant-based.

"So we can go there! That sounds good." Troye says happily.

"Yay! Tacos!" Hazel cheers.

Tyler, Korey, Archer, Sparrow, Hazel, Rory, Connor, Troye, Carson, Jack and Ava all go to Qdoba for lunch and hang out the rest of the day together! :)
