•°. *࿐ ALISSA CAVERLY KNEW that she had a crush on Peter Parker from a young age. The quirky boy was always that one person she had a thing for. Everything about him was adorable in her eyes. Her friends would always pick on her regarding the boy, asking her how he was doing or bringing him up just to hear what she had to say about him. All she thought about her feelings for him was that it was a childhood crush that she simply never got over.

Then, out of nowhere, Peter changed.

There were little differences about how he would handle certain situations that signaled a change. Alissa and her friends, Gwen and Mary Jane, would ask if he was all right, but he always gave the cliche reply of "Yeah, I'm fine" and left it at that; even Harry Osborn couldn't get through to his best friend. And that was when Spider-Man made his first appearance in New York.

There had been word of him teaming up with the Avengers, which made all of the girls at Midtown High giggle. Spider-Man became the biggest topic of discussion and Alissa didn't think he was all that much, but her friends certainly did. Gwen and MJ made it their mission to find out his true identity while Alissa focused on her studies and what to do about her crush on Peter Parker.

But when she ends up getting saved by Spider-Man, she couldn't help but feel a familiarity about the web slinger.

What she didn't know was that the truth about who he was would change her world.
