Crashing the Wedding

...

..

.

Third Person P.O.V

Scuttle flies over the ship, humming to the wedding march before pausing when he hears a voice singing. Caspian's voice.

"What a lovely little bride she'll make, oh dear, she'll look divine!"

Scuttle's brows furrow with confusion as he flies over, knowing Caspian didn't have his voice. He lands at the window, peering inside.

Urchin chuckles, adjusting his suit cuffs. "Things are working out to my ultimate design..."

He grabs a nearby brush, brushing it through his hair before tossing it away towards Scuttle. Scuttle gasps and ducks under it with wide eyes, sighing with relief.

"Soon I'll have that little merman, and the ocean will be mine!"

Urchin starts to lowly laugh, reaching up and angling the mirror towards him. The reflection wasn't of his human self, but his original form.

"The sea wizard!!" Scuttle gasps in horror, his eyes wide as he shakes his head. "Oh, no! He's gonna-- I gotta--!"

He tries to fly off, running into the side of the ship as his head rings painfully.

"Caspian!" Scuttle shouts out, flying back towards the castle with great speed.

...

Caspian sadly sighs, wistfully dragging his hand over the bracelet (Y/N) had bought for him. (D/N) whines lightly, resting his head on Caspian's lap for comfort.

"Caspian!!"

Caspian looks up as Scuttle lands besides (D/N), panting heavily. (D/N) jumps up in alarm, blinking rapidly as the odd sea gull leans against him for support.

"Caspian, I was flying-- of course I was flying, and--" Scuttle rambles and pants heavily, irritating Sebastian as he drums his legs against the ground. "I saw the-- the witch-- the wizard was watching the mirror!"

Caspian shakes his head in confusion, frowning with furrowed brows as (D/N)'s brow raises in question.

"And he was singin' with a stolen set of pipes!" Scuttle grabs Sebastian, shaking him aggressively. "Do you hear what I am telling you?!"

He slams Sebastian against the dock, emphasizing each word as (D/N)'s head follows the movement, his ears perked to attention.

"(Y/N)... is marrying... the sea wizard in disguise!!" Scuttle screams, slamming Sebastian down once more.

Scuttle releases Sebastian, (D/N)'s ears perking up as he whines with an angrily bark.

Caspian's eyes widen as his face falls in horror, Sebastian groaning as he rubs his aching head.

"Are you sure about this?" he questions, hissing in pain.

"Have I ever been wrong?!" Scuttle demands, pausing as he thinks back. "... Not important!"

"What are we gonna do?!" Flounder asks in fear, his eyes darting to the ship.

Caspian rises to his feet, breathing heavily as he looks out towards the ship heading towards the slowly setting sun.

Before the sun sets on the third day...

He scowls with determination, running and diving into the water. Sebastian looks around quickly, spotting barrels tied up besides him. He uses his claw to cut the rope, the barrels falling into the water besides him.

"Caspian, grab onto that!" Sebastian instructs, making him nod as he grabs onto a barrel to stay afloat. "Flounder, get him to that boat as fast as you--"

(D/N) runs along the dock, leaping into the water besides Caspian as he flinches from the splash. He pokes his head out of the water, barking lightly as he ducks back under and appears under Caspian.

Caspian grabs hold of the back of his fur, blinking rapidly as (D/N) starts paddling towards the ship.

"... That works, too! Good going, mon!" Sebastian calls after them.

Flounder follows after (D/N), Sebastian pacing the dock while biting his claw.

"I gotta get the sea king." He nods to himself, his expression a bit panicked. "He must know about this!"

"What about me?" Scuttle eagerly asks, hopping around. "What about me?"

"You!" Sebastian points a claw at him. "Find a way to stall that wedding! Don't let (Y/N) and that ruffian wed!"

He turns and dives into the ocean, Scuttle saluting.

"Stall the wedding?!" he repeats, blinking rapidly. "What am I gonna--" He lights up with an idea. "That's it!"

Scuttle takes off flying, letting out a loud squawk. He squawks to every sea creature nearby, rallying them for his cause. Birds peer out of their trees, flying after Scuttle with frantic chirps.

He flies over the willow tree, flamingos looking up at him before flying and joining him as well.

Starfish and lobsters, dolphins and fish alike join together, swimming after Scuttle.

"Move it! Let's go!" he yells to the group, pausing by seals. "We've got an emergency here!"

The three seals quickly follow, all wearing worried looks.

Scuttle continues squawking, leading the calvary to the wedding ship.

...

The organ plays wedding music, people gathered on the deck of the ship and bowing as (Y/N) joins Urchin at the end of the aisle. She wore a white wedding gown that didn't suit her at all, and Urchin wore a simple suit with white gloves.

Urchin grins triumphantly, offering his arm to her. She takes it, the two starting down the aisle. People murmur in disapproval, shaking their heads before ceasing as Urchin glares sharply at them.

They reach the end of the aisle, the wedding officiator greeting them with a smile as he adjusts his glasses.

"Dearly beloved..."

...

(D/N) pants heavily as he swims towards the ship, Flounder struggling to keep up with his speed.

"Don't worry, Caspian!" Flounder manages out, trying to catch his breath. "We're gonna make it! We-- We're almost there!"

Caspian watches the ship with urgency, holding onto (D/N).

...

"Yes, do you, (Y/N), take Varius to be your lawfully-wedded husband..."

Urchin side eyes the sun, smirking as it begins to set.

"... for as long as you both shall live?"

(Y/N) opens her mouth, seeming to hesitate for a moment. "I..."

Urchin's gaze shifts back to the woman as he scowls lightly, quietly snapping his fingers together. (Y/N)'s eyes shimmer gold as she numbly nods.

"I... do," she replies, her words forced out.

Scuttle squawking makes Urchin slowly look back with confusion, the officiator continuing.

"And do you, Varius, take..."

He turns back, gasping and ducking as Scuttle dives at him with the line of birds. Urchin looks up with a snarl, gasping once more as they dive back down towards him. He barely dodges them, side stepping to the side.

Guests start to panic and scream at the arrival of the creatures, the seals hopping onboard with barks as they bounce around.

Urchin turns to them with a glare, yelping as pelicans dump water from their beaks onto his head. One had lobsters inside of its mouth, and the lobster grins as it grabs hold of Urchin's nose with its claw.

He lets out a yell of pain, starfish covering his body and silencing his yell.

"... Then, by the power..." the officiator continues, not noticing the chaos as he adjusts his glasses while reading from his large book.

"Get away from me, you slimy--!" Urchin yells in his voice, throwing the starfish off him and hurling the lobster away.

He yelps as a seal scoops him up, bouncing him on its backside multiple times.

...

(D/N) whines in exhaustion as he makes it to the ship, Caspian reaching out and grabbing hold of the netting along the side. He turns to (D/N), grunting silently with great effort as he scoops up the dog and carries him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

...

The seals bark as they bounce Urchin between each other, one launching him at the cake. He lands on it with a yell, the silver platters going flying with utensils.

Caspian hauls (D/N) over the railing, (D/N) landing with a huff as he shakes his wet fur out.

Urchin rises from the cake with frosting all over him, dolphins leaping from the ocean and spitting water at him with chatter.

Scuttle flies in front of him, squawking loudly as he grabs the necklace with his foot.

"Why, you little--!" Urchin grabs Scuttle's neck, waving him around as he chokes him.

(D/N) runs towards Urchin with a snarl, barking as he latches his teeth around his leg. Urchin screams in pain and releases Scuttle, Scuttle going flying and breaking the rope holding the shell.

The shell goes flying through the air, landing and shattering in front of Caspian. His voice sings out as it was freed, Urchin's spell broken off (Y/N). She groans in pain as she holds her foggy head, staggering back and steadying herself.

The crowd watch with gasps of awe as Caspian's voice continues to ring out, Urchin's eyes widening in anger.

Caspian watches his voice before gasping as it was returned rightfully to him, singing out the final notes and holding his throat with a smile.

"Caspian...?" (Y/N) questions groggily, looking around as she blinks slowly with confusion. "What... what am I..."

"(Y/N)!" Caspian cries out in joy, laughing with relief as (D/N) barks and runs around him happily.

"Caspian!" (Y/N) laughs as she starts to run over, struggling a bit in her uncomfortable dress and heels. "It is you!"

Caspian holds his arms open, hugging her tightly and spinning her around with a wide smile as she laughs.

"(Y/N), get away from him!" Urchin yells, flinching at the sound of his normal voice.

"Caspian," (Y/N) breathes out with awe as shakes her head at herself, sighing as he sets her down and holds her hands tightly to his chest. "How could I have forgotten you? It was you, wasn't it? The one who saved me?"

Caspian smiles with tears of relief, nodding. "Oh, you have no idea how happy I am to have you back," he replies softly, his voice wavering a bit with emotion. "I missed you so much. I wanted to tell you everything, about our past, about how much I loved you, about everything!"

(Y/N)'s eyes widen at his words before she smiles, reaching up and cupping his cheek.

"I... I love you too, Caspian," she softly admits, brushing her thumb against his cheekbone. "I'm so sorry I ever forgot that. I was worried you'd never want to be with a human."

Caspian chuckles, placing his hand over hers against his cheek. "I don't care about that. I love you, (Y/N)!I'm just so happy to have you back, and I... really want to kiss you, now."

(Y/N) chuckles and shakes her head in amusement. "I'm surprised you even know what kissing is," she teases him lightheartedly.

Caspian mocks offense, huffing playfully and rolling his eyes. "Geez, you ask a human a few questions..."

The two laugh with one another and start to slowly lean towards each other, the sun starting to disappear behind them.

"(Y/N)-- no!" Urchin shouts out frantically.

The sun sets completely just as their lips were about to touch, the sky becoming dark as Caspian gasps and flinches in pain.

(Y/N) yelps as he collapses to the ground, his pants discarded to the side and his tail fin revealed as he lifts it.

"You're too late!" Urchin cackles triumphantly, lightning flashing in the sky.

"Caspian!" (Y/N) drops to her knees besides him, grabbing his hand into hers as she looks from Urchin to him. "What is he talking about?!"

Caspian stammers lightly, shaking his head in horror.

"You're too late!" Urchin repeats, his form starting to change as people scream out in terror.

Urchin drags himself across the deck, shoving (Y/N) aside as she gasps and falls onto her rear with wide eyes.

He grabs Caspian's arm, Caspian grunting and scowling as he yanks against him. "So long, my dear!"

"(Y/N)--!" Caspian yells, Urchin diving into the sea with him.

(Y/N) scrambles to her feet, grabbing the railing and looking over. "No, Caspian!"

She reaches out towards the water, shaking her head rapidly and turning to Grimsby.

"Grim! Please, please tell me you have a change of clothes for me!"
