Purvi panned her phone around the room, for the camera to cover everything for kavin to see on their video call.

'aur yeh dekho, isn't this just awesome!' exclaimed purvi in giddy as if she was a child showing her drawings hung on the fridge.

'it is...' replied kavin, as he couldn't help but smile seeing how happy she was.

'i miss you...' said purvi as she sat on her chair.

'i miss you too, yaar...' said kavin as he leaned back on his chair.

'ridhi kaisi hai?' asked purvi.

'arre woh toh...' kavin was interrupted by a call for purvi.

'purvi, jaldi aao!' a voice came from nowhere as purvi nodded.

'i have to go...' said purvi disheartened.

'sure..' said kavin as he forced a smile.

'i'll talk to you later, okay? Bye...' said purvi as she too put on a smile before leaving.

The shot of call ended stayed in kavin's sight long after it had disappeared, even though he tried to take his mind off of it, he couldn't...

It was purvi's lunch break, she took out her phone to text kavin, only to find his last seen to be two hours ago.

'shit!' she exclaimed at missing her shot. But calmed herself when she realised it was his lunch time too, so, she dropped a message and kept the phone aside waiting for a reply, that never came...

It was 6 in the evening, end of the working day for kavin as he took a deep breath and stretched his arms, calling it the end for the day.

'subha filon mein, dopher mein even lunch bhi meetings mein, aur yeh kambhakt presentation...uhh!' he vented out inside, as he took out the phone, he finally got the chance to look at in the entire day.

He cursed himself though as he realised that purvi had messaged him like 5 hours ago, and hadn't come online since three hours. He decided to just call and apologise, only for the ring to go unanswered.

'busy hogi...' he thought as he realised he lost his chance.

Purvi was on-site reporting, the vibrating phone went unnoticed by her when kavin called, and only got to know of it as she lied in her hotel room, and checked her phone...

She looked at the time, it was about time that they should be done with dinner, so she decided to call.

The phone rang on kavin's side, who had put it on silent to put his daughter to sleep.

Purvi kept the phone aside, disappointed, as she just closed her eyes, lying on the bed, exhausted for the day.

He sighed as he just thought, not again, and went outside the room, hoping this time he gets it right...

He closed his eyes as he prayed so hard and it all paid off with that one word, he never thought would give him so much joy,

'hello.' Said purvi from the other end of the line.

'hi!' he said with so much excitement like never before, as they both didn't realise that a smile crept up on their faces at the same moment.

'finally!' they both said in a union, as they just took a breath of satisfaction.

'kaise ho?' asked purvi, as she got a bit emotional.

'thik tha, ab thoda better ho gaya hoon..' replied kavin, as that smile wasn't fading away soon.

'ridhima...' uttered purvi, as kavin had a reply in the next second,

'thik hai, so rahi hai...lagta hai raat mein kuch ghanta toh so hi jaaya karegi ab..' completed kavin.

'acha hai, tum bhi thodi der so jaaya karo, thak jaate hoge...' suggested purvi, as kavin nodded in agreement on the other line, which she sensed.

'haan, par, phir tumhari awaaz sunke woh sab bhool jaata hoon...' confessed kavin, as they both shared a moment of silence, just feeling each other's presence through their voices.

'tum khush ho na wahan, purvi?' asked kavin, breaking the silence, as a yes to that was all going to make the troubles, worth it.

'it's everything i thought it would be kavin...just, magical!' said purvi as she chuckled lightly, as there was a part of her feelings she was hiding too.

'but i'll be happier when i see you...' she said, thinking out loud.

'me too...' he replied.

Days passed as they both got engrossed in work, and luck seemed to conspired against them with time, but that hope that they will see each other that day, and it's coming soon, kept them going.

Kavin had fallen asleep with his daughter resting in his embrace. Only that he had sat on the left side of the bed, which had the dressing table right next to it, exactly where he hit his head and was awakened.

'ow!' he exclaimed as he massaged around his head, and that was when the doorbell of the house rang.

He looked at the clock that struck 2 of the morning, completely puzzled about who it was, he went ahead to see who it was.

The door opened and his gaze fell on the person on the other side of the door, as his eyes widened with shock and thrill.

'purvi!' he exclaimed, and for a good minute just stood there with his gaze fixed on her.

She did not utter a word, but her gaze didn't move away for a second, away from him. Her eyes were getting moist with tears, and a smile crept up on her face too...she was simply overwhelmed with emotions.

He too reciprocated the smile as he wiped off that tear of his eye, and his chest just widened with the huge breath he took, unable to believe his sight...

A moment came where they couldn't hold it in anymore, as they got into a bone-crushingly tight hug. Every moment had come to this...
