chapter 44
kavin had already started working on his phone, establishing a first-ever hospital ward-office, the idea's sincerity should be appreciated though. the door opened, as purvi entered with a file in her hand, as kavin looked up,and my god anyone could sense he was about to say something pretty awful to her just merely by his look.
"kya baat hai, badi berozgaar bani ghoom rahi hoon?" mocked kavin, as purvi was already rolling her eyes in annoyance, this had to be a world record.
"haan, jaise agar abhi chali jaungi, toh mujhe zindagi bhar taana nahi doge ki main marr raha tha, aur kaam pe chali gayi..." scorned purvi, expressing her blunt disdain for him.
"hayee, itna patnidharm bhi mat nibhao, savitri ko lagega uski competition aa gayi hai...." commented kavin, with utmost of sincerity in his sarcasm, evident as it could ever be.
"hmm, ab toh bilkul theek lag rahe ho, chalo kuch kaam ki hi baat karlete hai, tumse hoti nahi hai, par kya karein?" expressed purvi her displeasure at the entire scenario.
"yeh doctor, equm ke liye yeh best rehabs rahenge, keh raha tha...maine toh research karli, tum padhkar rai batado, ek faisla toh karlein." stated purvi, throwing the file to kavin, she had turned from annoyed to no-nonsense in a spilt second.
kavin, grabbed the file quietly, as he started to go through it, as purvi looked on. the only way silence broke between them was through pure displays of loathe for the other, how could this ever work?

ishita's hands tightly clenched onto dushyant's back, as she let out a loud moan, it was a bit elongated, as she tried to catch her breath between the "ahhh"s. clearly, neither of them wanted to stop, he buried his head deep into her neck, as she squeezed him only more inside of her. his sweat rolling down her body, as he continued to thrust more deeply with every jab, only increased the tension. thank god their bedroom door was locked, as when he was starting to reach closer to the climax, as he took one last, deep thrust, and she screamed out in pleasure, and they entered the climax.
their breaths were suffocatingly heavy, as their heart rates were far from coming back to normal, they didn't move away, clearly being too tired and too sore, making it too soon.
he got off of her, when he finally caught hold of his breath, rolling to the left side of the bed, laying on his back, as he took a deep breath.
she closed her eyes, making her breath come down to normal, as she turned to her left side, now facing him.
"dushyant..." she had an intense glance fixed on him, as he looked over to her, not reciprocating the intensity, but showed curiosity in response to know what she had to say.
"what are we even doing?" she questioned, as he took a sigh of unclarity too. he rolled her to his side, such that he could face her now, before responding.
"i don't know...we scream, we fight, we yell, we kiss...there's something very wrong with us...." he contemplated, not yet making eye contact with her.
"i think we just...love to hate each other...be mad, have a cray, maddening fight....only to just make up and just move on...." noted ishita, as dushyant looked at her a bit more earnestly before replying.
"i think we are just mad at each other....we have been for too long....the resentment ended up meaning more than the love..." opposed dushyant her notion on the relationship, as she scoffed, a smirk coming on her face.
"is that why you kissed her? you are mad at me?" questioned ishita, as dushyant nodded, turning to lie on his back again.
"i've spent too much of my life being mad at myself....it took me too long to realise it." responded dushyant, as ishita had a flaky smile on her face.
"should we just let go?" asked ishita, as their eyes met, they both knew they wanted to be released from this battle of resentment, just be, like they were supposed to.

nihaal, sitting against the closed door of his room, hugging his knees, as he stared at the bottle of beer his father had left at the kitchen counter. he picked it up, he thought it would help but he couldn't help himself away and to it at the same time.
suddenly, he heard his bedroom window being knocked over, he looked, startled, only for equm to appear in front of him. he sighed in relief, and gasped in surprise at the same time.
he glared at him angrily, clearly conveying the message of 'what the fuck was that?', as equm just quietly came and sat by him, and the anger was just, gone...
they sat quietly, just letting it be, only for the silence to be broken when equm was ready to speak.
"-main rehab jaa raha hoon....kal se hi...." revealed equm, completely leaving nihaal shocked.
"kuch zyada hi serious case hai mera...shayad beyond repairable..." scoffed equm, teary eyed at the same time.
"maybe tujhe repair ki zaroorat nahi hai, thodi care ki hai..." responded nihaal earnestly, as equm only chuckled dismissively.
"please yaar, tu bilkul theek hi kehta tha...main bas ek bahaut bada nashedi hoon...." admitted equm sadly, as nihaal placed his hand on his shoulder.
"koi khushi mein inn cheezon ko thodi apnata hai...koi dukh hi hota hai, jisse kam karne ki koshish mein hote ho bas....woh itna bada gunaah toh nahi." pondered nihaal, as equm looked at him piercingly.
"kya hua hai tujhe?" interrogated equm very seriously, as nihaal just shook his head.
"kuch nahi...bas woh saumya ki death...uska missing hona...woh sab phirse yaad aa gaya...ajeeb nahi hai, dukh kitni bhi baar zaahir karlo kam hi nahi hota.." replied nihaal, as equm looked at him empathetically.
"pyaar karta tha na usse...dukh kabhi nahi jata woh..." clarified equm, as nihaal scoffed.
"pyaar khone ka dukh nahi raha ab...ab woh dhoke ka hai...." stated nihaal, as equm raised his brow at him.
"bani....uske kaaran hi saumya aaj iss duniya mein nahi hai.." revealed nihaal, as equm was completely shocked, giving nihaal a hug instantly.
"yaar jab dhoka hi dena hota hai toh log unke upar bharosa hi kyun karne dete hain..." expressed nihaal his sheer agony, as equm could just comfort him, knowing this wound stung deep.

abhijeet was listlessly going through the files, when his cabin door opened, and pasi entered.
"sir, aapka shak sahi nikla!" exclaimed pasi, as abhijeet looked up.
"jiss location pe saumya singhania ki deadbody mili, wahan par hi dekha gaya tha jasmine aur deepika ko unke bhaagne ke kuch ghanton baad..." stated pasi, as abhijeet finally had put his case on the right track.
"yeh do missing cases hi nahi, ab inn dono ka arrest ek murder case bhi solve karega.." proclaimed abhijeet, his conviction only more concerning, as it was evident, he won't give up easy.
