"Now that's what I call star power." Tessa hears Divine say as she finishes getting  her two step sister ready for the costume ball and sighs. She would finally  get some peace while they were there fawning over Reed. "Twirl, girls. Twirl for Sparkles." Divine calls out as Tessa rolls her eyes she hated that dumb stuffed dead dog. She turned around  though  when she heard Divine call her name in a song-like way. "Oh, Tessa, I have something for you." 

There was an awkward  pause. Divine never got her anything. There had to be a catch and Tessa didn't  like it, but sighs knowing  she had to take whatever  Divine got her. "For me?" Tessa says in feigned surprise

I didn't forget you, Tessa. There you go, you can't go to a costume ball without a costume." Divine says as Tessa sighs and smiles

"Wow, thank you, Divine." Tessa says looking at the penguin costume. She had to go to the ball now. Of all the times Divine thought about  her, why did it have to be tonight.

Georgie  heard a knock at her suite door and groaned who could possibly  want to bother her now? "Who is it?" Georgie  questions as she continues  to  sign papers. All she had for an answer was another knock before  the door opened.

"Guess who?" The voice of  her best friend and smiles turning her chair around.  Seeing that both Lily and Ethan were  there she brightens at the sight of her besties this boring night of finishing  paperwork and acting like the perfect  girl she was supposed to be would be a bit more fun with Lily and Ethan there.

"What are you two doing here, shouldn't  you  be taking care of the stables, and getting  ready for your  play tomorrow?" Georgie  asks in confusion  as Lily shook her head no.

"We came to surprise you. We thought you could use it tonight all night since your parents  will be here." Lily says motioning  to the light purple gown she was wearing  and Georgie  glances at Ethan  who was wearing  a  tux and looked super uncomfortable in it. That definitely  wasn't  their normal  attire Which consists of jeans, shirts and boots.

"Yeah we know we look ridiculous, but your mom knew we were coming  and basically  shoved these in our faces." Lily says with an eye roll as Ethan nods. "She says we can't  go to a costume  party without  a costume." Lily says with a scoff as Georgie  nods.

"Well I guess  they look nice for two people  who spend all their time with horses." Georgie  says looking  at the hot pink dress that her mother told her she had to wear. At least Lily  got a color she likes Georgie  Georgie despised pink. "Come on guys let's go. I have to make sure no one catches anything  on fire.  Otherwise the news will have a field  day Georgie  says. This causes her friends  to look up in shock. Georgie  sighs, "Trust me they almost have twice. I wouldn't  be surprised  if it happened  again."

"All right, girls let the dazzling begin! Stand up straight, smile, chest forward." Divine commands her two daughters  and Tessa groans, watching as she just wants to escape right now and do anything else.

When they walked into the ballroom that was set up beautifully Tessa just saw a ton of blue dresses. "There's a lot of Cinderellas here, but you girls look the best. Stand up straight, Olympia." Tessa heard her stepmother  nitpick and quickly disappeared  in the crowd to find Georgie.

She finds her at the very edge  of the room with two other people  that Tessa recognized  as the ones who did that horse rescue a few nights before.  "Hi guys she mutters out  and Georgie's  attention  immediately  went to Tessa. 

"Oh hey Tess, I like the penguin  costume." Georgie says before looking  at her two best friends, "Um Lily, Ethan you  remember  Tessa don't you?" Georgie  asks as her two friends. 

"Nice to meet you again Tessa sorry last time we had to run off quickly, but being  arm deep in animal blood is not something  I like." Ethan says as Lily nods in agreement. 

"It's fine I understand, its so great to see you  again. Tessa says before  Georgie  hears something crash and groans more glass to clean up, and she could  basically  feel her mother's  and father's  glare. 

"Ugh come on guys, let's go check that out I'll  see you around  Tess." Georgie  says briskly walking  away as Tessa sighs before  Reed comes up to her.

"Interesting choice of costume." He says startling  Tessa  who turned to look at him with a smile. As she looks at her costume  awkwardly 

"I'm a penguin." Tessa mentally  face palms herself, but it was all she could  think of to say she wishes Iris was around  the dog gave her a boost of confidence, but since she was being  herself right  now  she couldn't  have Georgie's  dog.

Yes, you are, um… Can you sneak away? Uh, so we can finish the bike." Reed asks nervously  as Tessa looks around, but nods the show was tomorrow  evening after all and they really did need to finish.

"I'll waddle out somehow." Tessa says with a smile before  hearing her name being called and sighing  turning around  to see Olympia 

" Tessa! My hair broke. You have to help me put It back together." Olympia says in a very childlike voice  and Tessa groans 

"Give me five minutes." Tessa says running off to help Olympia  as quickly as she could.

It had been hours and the party had finally  died down. Only Georgie, her friends and the clean up crew were left cleaning up things for the next day. For once it was calm, and Georgie  didn't  feel pressured  at all. She was just joking  around  with her friends. That is before  she could feel someone was upset and angry she sighs. Stupid ability  had to ruin it.

"Hey guys, can you cover me for a bit. I've got to talk with someone. " Georgie  told her friends who nod in agreement. As Georgie  walked out immediately, but she accidentally  bumps into someone she gulps when she realized it was her mom holding her youngest pup tightly. 

"My room now young lady." She says and Georgie  groans she was going  to be in  so much trouble.
