Unfair{Kiki}
"Daddy! This is SO unfair! Kiki gets to go to her study group or whatever, but I can't hang with my friends?" Jenny shrieked.
I could hear her from the next room. Gosh, she sure is loud. I was trying to study my advanced eleventh grade calc. Jenny and I were only in ninth grade, but I take all accelerated eleventh grade classes, which means I study like senior. I'm the student council president and proud leader of the NJHS (national juniors honors society) and not to mention my perfect grades! I made a school record, the first freshman to get straight 100's on my report card! Daddy and Nanafua were so proud of me!
Jenny, on the other hand, spent her free time using the car (without permission!), going to metal concerts and hanging out with those weird kids, Buck Dewey, Sour Cream and Steven. Actually, Stevens pretty cool. She's even flunking school!
I stood up, abandoning my studies. I listened to the detailed conversation that Jenny and Daddy were having. I peeked around the corner of the elegant, polished oak doorway. It led to the restaurant.
"Whatever, Daddy! I'm going to that concert no matter what you say!" Jenny argued.
"I don't think so!" He shot back.
"Think again!" Jenny mocked, heading out the door.
Daddy looked up in defeat. "That girl will never learn." He said, disappointedly. He noticed me standing, watching the entire event unfold.
"Kiki, dear, come here." He said, sounding tired.
"Yes, Daddy?"
"Don't act like her. She is a disgrace to our family!" He slammed his fist on the counter.
"Oh, no Daddy, don't say that. She'll come around, just give her time and space. I promise. I know her better than anyone. We're twins!" My feeble attempt to make him laugh echoed throughout the empty shop. I felt really bad for him.
I know she'll learn. I just know she will!
