i sat on the couch and put Chili dogs on the table for sonic. he came back a few minutes after the whole 'cat food incident' i turned on the TV to the news. "the Super-sonic Speed demon, seen here on police helicopter video, has the city Baffled." the reporter said

"it was about this high" a police officer said with his hand to his stomach. "it was Blue and looked like a freak" well thats just rude, i thought

"i was doing about 60 when this thing went, Whoo, right by me"

"that thing moved too fast to be a regular animal."

"as to the question of weather this is a UMA, unidentified mutant animal, it is positively NOT" a scientist said, with a monkey holding his neck and lifting his glasses up and down. Even the cheetah widely believed to be the fastest Member of the animal kingdom, can not out run a formula one police car.. because of this the inescapable conclusion one must inevitably come to is that this so called hedgehog is in reality a machine" he said as i looked away from the tv to see Sonic eating a bit noisily and Grandpa opened the door making both me and Chris's heads turn before i sheepishly put my face in my book. 

"there you two are. guess what? a blue hedgehog came out of nowhere and out ran the S-team yesterday." he said as i poked my head back out.

"i guess Sam may have been mad about that!" i smiled forgetting sonic was right next to me, they looked at each other before grandpa looked at the Tv then at Sonic once more a bit more detrmaned this time. Chris put a pillow on Sonic's face looking a bit sheepish

"HEY, CUT IT OUT! I CANT BREATHE!" Sonic shouted muffled before taking it of his face and crossing his arms while i just looked at my book again hoping to make him think he was seeing and hearing him.

"blue just like that..." Grandpa Chuck said before gasping and smiling. "ITS HIM!" 

"WHOA GRANDFATHER!" i said moving back as he grabbed sonic.

"EASY, GRANDPA!" Chris said leaning away as well

"HEY MAN!" sonic shouted as grandpa got out a screwdriver.

"GRANDPA S-STOP!" i said holding his arm back. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"i have to see how this thing is put together Y/n!" he said getting out of my grip and i went to the other side of the room as Sonic jumped out of his grasp and i went in front of him in sort of protective stance "STAND STILL, Y/N GET AWAY FROM IT!"

"N-NO I WON'T GET AWAY FROM HIM!" i nervously shouted back

"grandpa wait. hes not a machine. He's sonic the Hedgehog." chris said making all f us go silent and grandpa dropping his screwdriver.

"now lets go live to this Late breaking story" the reporter said as i turned my head to it.

"oh, please... Please leave us alone..." a bunny whimpered holding something i'd never could imagine 

"its Cream and Cheese..." sonic said tuning to the TV.

"its who?" chris and i asked

"im not the only one who got transported to this weird world after all." he said "i'll save those two." and he ranout side with me and Chris following him.

"W-wait Sonic!" i said.

"DO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY ARE?" Chris shouted and Sonic turned around and stood in front of us and he shrugged awkwardly as i sighed.

"GRANDPA! could you do us a favor and find out where those two went?" i asked

"sure, come with me," he said as we headed into the garage and he called up a friend of his. it took a while but i didn't notice because me and sonic were looking at one of grandpa's inventions "i thought they'd do something along those lines, well thanks very much for giving me the scoop, and i'll talk to you soon."

"W-whats the word on the bunny and their little friend?" i asked. 

"well it seems like Sonic's friends have been captured by the police and moved to area 99." he told us.

"area 99?" i asked.

"thats that top secret military base." Chris said as both me and sonic looked in confusion.

"what?" sonic asked.

"dont you mean area 51?" i asked.

"no, area 99 is where the National Defense force  keeps all their tanks, fighter jets, and high tech spy equipment.

"that sounds like Eggman's type of place."  Sonic said quietly

"your friends have been taken there by the army and placed under 24- hour guard... much like when we found you Y/n. the authorities believe they could be aliens or perhaps members of a mutant species developed by an enemy power designed to attack our population." i wonder if they might not be right Sonic." he said... when was i ever placed in a 24- hour guard? i thought.

"think what you want, i'm gone. now that i know where my friends are, i'm outta here" he said walking away.

"but if you show up at Area 99 they'll lock you up too." Chris told him.

"they cant lock me up." he said as the door started closing. "Woah! Open That Door!"

"it wasn't me or Y/n!" Chris said as i looked at grandpa.

"ha! it was me" grandpa said pointing at him self. "you're going to need help sonic. i'll go with you."

"grandpa are you serious?" Chris asked.

"of course i'm serous, and you two are coming along too. you told me you dont want to lead a boring life like your father, and you want to be braver Y/n, so here's your chance for excitement"

"well if you're up for it, i'm up for it."Chris said. "just dont tell dad."

"give me a minute to grab something." i said heading into the main house and in my room, grabbed my mood necklace and something to keep my attention on the way there. "ready i said hopping in the car's back seat with sonic.

"alright lets get going." he said starting the car. 

by the time i was half way done with what i was doing sonic spoke up and i realized how close we were to the base... and how baren they chose their bases to be"it's gong to take forever to get there, i'd rather go by myself."

"chill out." grandpa told him taking his eyes off the road and looked in the mirror.

"Is it time?" Chris asked

"it's time." he said as Chris gave him an infrared scope with a mic and headphone piece. "put it on"

"whats this?" sonic asked looking at it.

"its an infrared scope." both me and grandpa said at the same time. i blushed lightly and started up what i was doing while he just chuckled

"i'm certain that Area 99 is full of infrared motion detectors that sett of security alarms." Grandpa told him.

"meaning that you wont be able to see them with out that..."i said "then you'd get caught... if you wear it, you maybe able to avoid them easier." i said helping him adjust it on his head. he gave a thumbs up then jumped out of the car.

"see ya later guys!" he said

"he certainly is a speedy critter isn't he?"grandpa asked. "YEAH!" he shouted speeding up making my necklace turn purple for how nervous i was getting. we waited in the car and i put the other part of the radio to my ear. 

"sonic You copy?" i asked.

"yeah." he said as i handed it to Chris.

"remember, when you get into the main building, go in through an air vent." Chris said. "that should be a blind spot or security" he looked at grandpa and me. "got it?"
