We had Sonic sleep in my room while I slept in Chris's room... Again. Which neather of us mind much, I woke up and climbed off of the bunk bed and looked into my room anr saw sonic on in there sleeping, I carefully crept in avoiding some of my stuff I had left on my floor... Ella would be so mad I thought as I went to my desk, it was a lovely (F/c) oak wood desk under my bed. I took my book(s) and left though the hallway into dad's study and sat in the balcony to read. Chris came a few minutes later with sonic hidden behind him not that I knew since my nose was stuck in a book. "Here sonic we can hang out here." He said as I looked up.

"H-hello Sonic, Hey Chris." I said with a small wave as sonic went on the roof.

"Y/n, i thought you didn't like balconies." Chris said sitting down next to me as I set it down

"I-i don't but i'm not going to get over it if I don't try right?" I asked slightly shaking.

"Me and Ms Thorndyke, you have a call from your mother." Tanaka said handing us a phone on speaker.

"H-hello Ms- Mom." I said still not used to calling anyone by that."how's the film going?"

"Oh the picture has been a Disaster, darlings, a complete disaster. We've had to stop shooting because there's been torrential rain for days! So there's nothing I can do but sit and wait, I don't think I'll be back till late next week at the earliest but ive had plenty of time to go shopping for you two, i hope you like them, they should be arriving on daddy's jet so you two should have them tonight"

"Thank you..." I said with a small smile.

"Thanks mom. Mom, there's something we have too- well there's something we did which we weren't supposed to do." Chris said as Tanaka placed our breakfast on the table

"CHRISTOPHER, (FULL FIRST NAME), WHAT HAPPENED ARE YOU TWO ALRIGHT?!"

"W-WERE ABSOLUTELY FINE!" I said nervous before stuffing some bread in my mouth in embarrassment.

"But remember how you said were not supposed to go near the adult pool at night?" Chris asked as I swallowed the bread.

"DID YOU TWO GO INTO THE ADULT POOL IN HE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?!"

"N-NO NOT AT ALL! Chris and I just saved a cat that fell in, I dried it off it didn't hurt us at all." I said looking at sonic slightly in a 'Please forgive me' manner

"You two have a big heart like I do, next time, ring for mr. tanaka and he'll take care of things alright? Oh darlings, I must run kiss mummy good bye" she said and be both made a small kissing noise into the reserver
"Chao sweethearts" and then she hung up.

"Look carefully, I'm a hedgehog not a cat." Sonic said coming up from the roof and sitting on the railing.

"We know, I'm sorry its the first animal that came to my mind that would work..." I said looking at him.

"You see, our mom wouldn't understand." Chris said.

"And why wouldn't she?" Sonic asked.

"Well first of all she knows that we wouldn't risk diving into the pool in the middle of the night to save a tiny little hedgehog"

"Really." He said kinda suspicious

"What else could we say?"

"That a blue talking hedgehog who can't swim and is extremely fast fell into our pool? She'd think were on something." I said looking at him.

"Speaking of talking where did you learn how to speak anyway?" Chris asked.

"Good question, I don't remember." Sonic said putting a gloved hand to his ear

"And your speed, where'd that come form? Were you born with it or something else?" i asked

"Also good question I don't have the answer too." He said as I sighed and the phone rang and I answered it.

"Hell-" I started before our dad shouted.

"(Y/N),CHRIS, IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT?!" He shouted.

"E-everything fine except for the fact you screamed in my ear..." I said.

"Sorry Y/n but your mother just informed me you two made an emergency rescue last night. I guess our security system cant protect against cats that want to take a moon lit swim. I know you two like animals, but what you two did was dangerous. Did you two get hurt? Did they try and scratch your whole you two were helping it?"

"No, not on ether of us." Chris said with a smile. "Were fine. Honest, I am. it wasn't really that a big deal. After I got it out and Y/n dried them off, it was really happy we could tell."

"Yeah, Gotcha. Yeah." he said.

"I'm seriously fine Dad... i gave them some of Ella's cooked fish and let them on their way. Besides Grandpa, Ella, or Tanaka-san help us," i said with a smile and looked at sonic in a sorta guilty manner.

"they better be. Listen, ive got an important meeting to run to. you call me any time you need anything and no more late night swims, Promise?"

"Ok dad we promise, see you soon." we both said in unison.

"are you hungry sonic, you must me after last night..." i said

"i was thinking you might like something to eat." Chris said

"yeah, i guess i could go for something. whats on the menu?" Sonic asked.

"i checked out hedgehogs on the internet." Chris said grabbing a bowl of... cat food... i should have said cat food if we had that in the house... W E D O N T E V E N H A V E A C A T W H Y D O W E H A V E C A T F O O D?!  "and found the perfect thing." he put the bowl in front of sonic who grabbed a small piece before cringeing.

"UGH WHAT IS THIS?!" he asked.

"Cat food." both of us said.

"Ugh no wonder. it tastes like theres cat in it!"

"the website i went to said most hedgehogs love cat food." chris said.

"Chris, this is a hedgehog that walks on two legs, talks, runs,and you think a website has his favorite food? i dont even think hes FROM here." i said getting up and off the balcony.
