Today on a fresh day (Why do most of the chapters start off with Today?..) Y/N, Meggy, Mario and Beta were training for an upcoming splatfest, the four were having a blast, literally. Meggy shoots at Y/N, trying to splat him, but he's climbing a tower to snipe her.

Meggy: Don't make me come up there!

Y/N: I'm pretty sure you're gonna have to come up here.

Meggy: Alright, don't say I didn't warn you.

She shot at a loose bar in the tower, causing it to tilt.

Y/N: Whoa! What did you do?!

Meggy: Oh, just a little magic trick.

Mario and Beta were having their own turf war, it went from shooting eachother with splattershots..to literally play fighting.

Mario: Give up!

Beta: Nah, you.

Mario: No u.

Beta: No u.

Mario: You!

Beta: You!

Mario: YOU!

Beta: YOU!

Mario: YOU!

Beta: YOU!-

The two were splattered by Meggy.

Meggy: How about both of you give up?

Beta:...

Mario:...but he started it.

Meggy: I really don't care who started what, I'll finish it if I need to!

Y/N: Boo.

Meggy got startled and looked behind her, you splat her away and into Mario and Beta, knocking them down too.

Y/N: Ladies and gentlemen! Its a hit!

Meggy: Darn..if it weren't for these two, it'd be different.

Y/N: Uh huh..surrreeee..

Meggy: It would!

Beta: Ow..

Mario: Meggy, you're crushing Mario's ribs.

Meggy: Oops..sorry, hehe..

Meggy gets off Beta and Mario, they got up and dusted themselves off, Meggy came up to Y/N and gives him a kiss.

Meggy: How can someone be so dorky, yet so skilled?

Y/N: That's a question we'd all wanted to know.

Mario: A mystery about me stuffing Beta's pie with ravioli!

Mario: Got em!

Y/N and Meggy laugh at Beta's misfortune, so did Mario.

Beta: Dardy har..but hey..at least we did good on our session of training, lucky us, right?

Y/N: That was a good training session though, we might win this year!

Just as you said that, you get sniped with dark purple ink out of nowhere, sending you into boxes.

Meggy: Y/N!

Sun: No! No! No! What a mess! Which was the bottom, where is the top!? Clean up! Clean up!

The Sun throws boxes out of the way and saw you.

Sun: Hello! You look like you're in distress!

Y/N: Yea...what happened?

Sun: I don't know, but I have a mess to clean up.

You get up and Beta checks up on you.

Beta: Hey, you okay?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine, who did that?

Beta: We're about to find out.

You follow Beta back to your team.

?: Look at these buffoons.

?2: And they say that this team is the best, to me they look like they came from a circus.

Meggy: Who are you? Are you trying to look for trouble? Cause if you are, you picked the wrong squad.

Y/N: Yeah, what's your game here?

?: Oh how rude of us, allow us to introduce ourselves.

Jackson: Jackson, leader of the Dreadink team.

Rogue: I'm Rogue.

Clare: Clare.

Adam: Adam.

As the four inklings introduced themselves, Meggy didn't like the look of them.

Meggy: Well..it was nice meeting you, I guess. But we should get going..

Jackson: Aren't you gonna introduce us to your little circus? A plumber, a dolphin, and a dude? What is this, some type of bad joke?

Beta: Cool it, we don't introduce ourselves to little rodents.

Rogue got aggravated and tried to shoot him but Jackson stopped him.

Jackson: Save it Rogue. He's not worth it.

Rogue: Fine..

He lowered his weapon.

Jackson: We'll see you clowns later, and once we win, nobody will ever remember you four.

Y/N: Maybe..but when you lose, no one will let you forget it.

Beta: Daaammmnn.

Jackson was shocked and dumbfounded by that.

Rogue: Wow, that's actually a good point.

Jackson regained his focus and smacked Rogue in the back of his head.

Rogue: Owww..

Jackson: Move out.

Clare and Adam both stared at you for a while with a sinister glare before walking away with their team.

Meggy: That was a good one, let's hope we'll win.

Y/N: Of course, our skills should be enough, I wonder how Desti's team is doing.

Meggy: She should be fine, along with her team, Leo, Percy and Simon.

Beta: Wait? They're on her team? I thought it was those octolings-

Meggy: They unfortunately ditched her..

Beta: Shit, that must've sucked.

Meggy: In her own words, she said that it was Fucking Bullshit.

Mario: Sounded like it.

Y/N: Yeah..I hope she's ok.

Meggy: She is.

Soon, Beth came by and greeted you four.

Beth: Hi!

Meggy: Hey Beth! What's up?

Beth: Did you guys run into the Dreadinks?

Y/N: Yea, they are quite scummy. I'll say that.

Beth: Oh..okay then..but why did they have to knock down my cup of noodles, I was in the middle of eating them..

Beta: We'll cook you some more.

Beth: Thanks.

Y/N: And to think Mark was bad, Jackson is a new level of scum.

Mark: Ahem.

Y/N: No offense.

Mark: None taken, but yeah, I have to agree, that team is a huge dueshbag team, they act all high and superior and think they're better than everyone else, I hated people who were like that..I know I was a snobby guy before, but I'm glad I changed my heart, if I didn't, I probably wouldn't be here right now.

Y/N: We're glad you've changed Mark.

Mark: I'm glad, so what's your plan on taking down Jackson's team?

Y/N: We'll come up with something eventually.

Mark: Okay, just lemme know, right?

Y/N: Well keep you notified.

Mark: Great, I should head back to my squad. They need me.

Mark waved bye and ran off back to his group.

Beth: Well that went decent, but I should head back too, my Uh..squad needs me too...see ya..

Beth walked away.

Beta: Wait..Beth never said anything about having her own team.

Y/N: Strange.

Meanwhile with Beth...

Jackson: So, why don't you wanna date me? You really do seem like a cute one?

Beth: I told you already, I'm not interested.

Rogue: So what? You're just gonna remain single for the rest of your life?

Beth: Never said that, maybe I'll find someone who's special to me.

Jackson: But aren't I special to you? I can shoot from plenty of yards away, I even sniped down some dumbass earlier, he went flying like a bird.

Beth: Uh...cool? I should get going..

Beth tried to leave but Adam held her back.

Jackson: You're not going anywhere.

Beth: Let go!

Adam: Okay, as you wish.

Adam let's go, she fell over from the force.

Beth: What is wrong with you?!

Jackson: You've made a huge mistake there, boys..and uh, girl..restrain her.

Both Rogue and Adam grab her by the arms and pick her up.

Jackson: Therefore, you have to pay the price.

Jackson said as he pulled out a pair of infamous hypno-shades, which shook Bethany to her core.

Beth: No! N-Not those!! God damn it..SOMEONE HELP!

Jackson: Who else is gonna be down here? Besides, Octavio needs another Callie-

Percy: HEY!

Everyone looked to see a crocodile hanging onto a loose ladder.

Rogue: Yeah, beat it.

Percy: I'll do the honor to take you into the infirmary.

Clare: Jackson?

Jackson: Get rid of him, Beth, put on the shades!

Beth: Never!

As Beth and Jackson wrestle each other over the shades, Clare nodded and ran at Percy, they began to fight, but one thing she forgot to do..you brought fists to a fucking crocodile fight.

Clare swings and almost hit him, but Percy had the upper hand and swiped his claws across her cheek, making her bleed. She looked at her cut and saw blood, she then looks up at Percy and roared again to scare her off.

Jackson: Where the hell are you two going?! He's just a crocodile!

Rogue: Boss! Crocs eat things like us!

Jackson thinks about it and sighs, grabbing the glasses and booking it.

Jackson: Fuck it..don't think this is the cretaceous era, that's long gone..we'll be back, and once we are back, you'll be in the fossil records next.

Jackson runs off after his group. Percy shook his head and helped Beth up.

Percy: Hey, you ok Bethany?

Beth hugged Percy as if he were a teddy bear.

Beth: Thank you..

She felt panicked but Percy calms her down.

Percy: You're gonna be fine, those bastards are gone now.

Beth: O-okay..

Percy and Beth went to your group.

Y/N: We came to see what happened.

Percy: Those assholes tried to put those weird glasses on her..

Beth: Hypno-Shades!!

Meggy: Oh my god...Beth..are you okay? I didn't even know they worked for him!

Beth: Ye-yeah..I'm fine...

Beth hugged you and stuck close to your group, she felt safe with you and her friends. Y/N and everyone went to go to the castle to relax.

Desti: What happened out there?

Beth: Jackson's group tried..to abduct me for Octavio..

Desti: WHAT?

Leo: What kind of sick bastard does that?!

Y/N: The worst kind.

Beta: Someone who's had a fucked up history, clearly they're desperate for a new victim..

Beth went to go and relax with you, Percy, Meggy and Desti, Percy turned on the TV and put on something calming.

Beth: Thanks again guys..

Y/N: You're very welcome.

Beta went to the kitchen to cook some ramen for her.

Percy: I've never felt this crazy before..when I let out that roar, I think something woke up inside of me.

Meggy: My guess is that you're feeling the adrenaline.

Percy: Maybe, but I don't wanna be seen as some type of crazy monster.

Y/N: Don't worry Percy, you aren't a monster, you saved Beth, that's a good and brave thing you did.

Percy: Yeah..you're right, thanks Y/N.

Y/N: No problem.

Beth soon fell asleep. And for the rest of the day, you all make sure she's ok.
