The Great Thaw
Elsa's P.O.V.
I slowly pulled my head away from her chest and looked up at her. She looked back down at me, a smile now curled on her lips. "Anna?" I said, my final tears freezing below me. I stood up and pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Oh, Elsa," I heard her whisper in my ear. I pulled away, wanting to see her face again.
"You sacrificed yourself for me?" I asked, tears of happiness welling up in my eyes.
"I love you," she responded warmly. I smiled, delighted to have her back. Then I heard a gasp of realization.
"An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart," Olaf pointed out. Then I understood what he meant.
"Love will thaw," I repeated, letting the words sink in. "Love. Of course!" I set my arms beside me.
"Elsa?" Anna asked, hopeful. I could tell she knew I was onto something.
"Love!" I raised my hands slowly and the ice and snow around us slowly gathered and was lifted into the air. Everything around us went back to its beautiful, floral state. After all of the ice was thawed and everything was back to normal, I gathered the snow above us. I put my hands together above my head, causing the ice and snow to form a giant snowflake above us. Moving my hands away from each other, the snowflake dispersed into tiny ice crystals.
"I knew you could do it," Anna encouraged. I smiled.
"This has been the best day of my life," Olaf said, melting slowly. He was so cheerful, even in the toughest situations. "And quite possibly the last."
"Oh, Olaf," I said, giggling, "Hang on little guy." I moved my hand in a circling motion to build him up again. Once finished, I opened up my closed hand and a snow cloud formed above him.
"My own personal flurry!" he exclaimed, jumping around. I smiled and so did Anna. Not too far from us, I heard a grunt. I turned to the sound and frowned. Hans was getting up, being assisted by the ship. Kristoff was getting ready to hurt him severely when Anna interrupted.
"Anna?" he asked, confused. "But she froze your heart."
"The only frozen heart around here is yours," she simply said and turned to leave. The expression of confusion was still on his face. With one swift movement, she turned and punched him in the face. I was slightly shocked, but smiled when she walked to me. I stretched my arms out, welcoming her into a hug. My sister was back. And I was never losing her again.
