The Great Escape
Elsa's P.O.V.
I slammed the doors open. Outside, everyone cheered and applauded for me. I looked back in the direction of the ballroom, then began running. I slipped past people, holding my exposed hand to my chest. I was nervous and terrified. Anything I touched, I would freeze. Soon, I was surrounded by the townspeople. "Your majesty, are you alright?" I heard a woman carrying a baby ask. I had to get away from them. Stay as far away from them as possible. But that only got me into more trouble.
As I was moving back, I bumped into something. My exposed hand came into contact with a smooth cement and immediately froze everything. I turned around and saw that I had frozen one of the two main fountains. The frozen water curved over and formed ice spikes. "There she is! Stop her!" I heard a familiar voice command. But it wasn't Anna's.
I held my hands up in defense and said, "Please, just stay away from me. Stay away." Ice sprang from my hands and froze the floor in which the duke and his guards were standing on.
"Monster! Monster!" he yelled. I clutched both of my hands to my chest. Now I was more scared than nervous. I had just exposed my true identity to everyone. People are going to want to kill me. Mothers and fathers hid their children from me. The one way to get away from all of this is to flee. And I did.
"Elsa!" I heard Anna's voice call for me. But I wasn't turning back. I kept running. I didn't know where. I just wanted to stay as far away from everyone as possible.
I finally arrived at the fjord when the voice called for me again. "Elsa!" I turned around and walked backwards slowly. The fjord was giving me a limited amount of options. If Anna caught up to me, I would have to go back. This fjord wasn't exactly in my favor. Suddenly, I heard a sort of crunching sound. I looked down and gasped. The ground beneath me was freezing. Along with that, the fjord was too. Then came again, "Elsa, please!" I looked back and saw that Anna was still with the man and she had caught up to me. But we still had some distance apart. I looked down at the fjord as I took a step. Under my foot, the fjord froze. I looked up at my destination and began running.
