•~Deku's P.O.V~•
I slowly awoke, staring up at my white ceiling. I tried to sit up, but failed as my wounds started causing pain. I felt a weight on my chest and looked to see both Katsuki and Shouto laying there, curled up. I placed my hands on their heads, stroking their hair. Seemed to wake them up as they both tilted their heads up to look at me. They stared at me for awhile before their faces broke into huge smiles.
'IZUKU/DEKU!' They yelled, coming up to my head.
'Are you ok?' Shouto asked.
'Yeah. I'm fine.' I said, slowly sitting up though wincing in pain a few times.
'I'm sorry Deku. I didn't mean to-' Katsuki broke off as he started tearing up.
'Kacchan. It's ok. I'm fine now.' I said, bringing him into a hug.
'I wanna hug too.' Shouto said.
I smiled as I brought Shouto into the hug. We stayed like that for a few more moments before I set them back down.
'Now then. You two can head down. I'll prepare some breakfast.' I smiled.
'Yay!' They cheered, jumping off the bed and running downstairs.
I turned, letting my legs hang off the side as I slowly stood up. Pain coursed through my body as I moved. But, I shoved it aside as I stood up. I walked (limped) down the stairs and into the kitchen. I decided to make eggs. I grabbed everything I needed and started cooking. About 3 minutes later, I entered the lounge room and gave the kids their food.
'Enjoy.' I smiled, sitting down and eating my own.
I changed the channel to the Hero Game Show and we watched as the guests played the games, laughing at certain times. Katsuki ended up going outside and Shouto later joined him. I was still in pain so I just stayed on the lounge. That was, till I heard Katsuki.
'DEKUUUUUUU!'
I got up painfully and made my way outside.
'What's wrong, Kacchan?' I asked as I walked over to him.
'It's Icyhot. He climbed up there but doesn't know how to get down.' Katsuki said, pointing over to Shouto who was stuck on the house roof.
'How did he manage to climb up there in the first place?' I murmured, walking over there. 'Shouto! When I say jump, jump down. I'll catch you.'
'O-ok.' Shouto nodded.
I was right below him when I called out 'jump!' Shouto closed his eyes as he jumped down. I caught him in my arms before setting him on the ground, wincing in pain a few times.
'Thanks Izuku.' Shouto said, hugging me.
He went back over to Katsuki as I walked back inside to rest. As soon as I sat down on the lounge, my phone buzzed. Reaching inside my pocket, I took it out to see a message from Uraraka.
Hey Deku!
Are you alright?
Yeah, I'm fine
That's good 😊
How are the kids?
Uhhh...
I looked outside to see the two fighting. I jumped off the lounge and ran outside, picking them both up.
'Why are you two fighting?' I asked as I brought them back inside.
They didn't answer. They just turned their faces away from each other. I placed them on the lounge. I picked the phone back up and headed over to the kitchen.
Deku?
You there?
Yeah, yeah
Sorry about that
The kids were fighting
What?!
Really?
Yeah
Do you wanna call?
Just to make it easier
Sure
Uraraka changed from texting to calling. I accepted and place the phone on my shoulder with my cheek against it so I could move my hands freely.
'You said the kids were fighting, but, are they ok?' Uraraka asked.
'Yeah, yeah. They're fine.' I replied as I opened cupboard after cupboard, searching round.
'What're you doing? I hear doors opening and closing.' Uraraka commented.
'I'm searching for cookie for the kids.' I opened one last cupboard finding a jar full.
'You're giving them sweets after fighting?' Uraraka didn't sound impressed.
'You gave them to me to look after. I'll do this my way.' I replied, grabbing a plate and dumping cookies on it.
'Guess that's true... wait, how are your wounds?! They haven't re-opened have they?!' Uraraka yelled.
'No, no! I told you, I'm fine! Really,' I said, placing the plate on the table in front of the kids who started eating right away. 'Believe me. I'd have called Momo over if they re-opened.'
'I guess... but-'
'No. Don't go there.' I cut her off.
'I'm just worried, ok.' Uraraka said.
'I kno-'
My doorbell rang.
'I'll be right back,' I placed the phone down on the kitchen table and left to answer the door. 'Hello?'
I froze, seeing who it was. My boss...
'Mr. Midoriya!' He started. 'Why haven't you been at work for the past few days?'
'I'm taking care of some kids for a friend.' I replied, trying to stay calm.
'I don't care!' He yelled, firmly grabbing my shoulders. 'If I don't see a 10 page report on why you were away on my desk by tomorrow, I'll have you fired immediately!'
He left just like that. I closed the door before grasping my right shoulder, feeling a burning sensation. I bit my lip as I made my way back over to the kitchen table, only to find my phone missing.
'But Uraraka-san.'
As soon as I heard those words, I ran over to the lounge and grabbed my phone from Katsuki.
'Sorry about that, Uraraka.' I said.
'It's fine, though, Bakugou said someone was at the door. Who was it?' Uraraka asked.
'Just my boss. He's mad that I haven't been at work for the passed few days.' I replied.
'Izuku/Deku? What's with your shoulder?' Katsuki and Shouto both asked.
'You're shoulder? THE WOUND!!! WHAT'S WRONG DEKU!' Uraraka yelled.
'Calm down! Just call Momo and get her here if you're that worried.' I sighed.
'I'm already ahead of you,' Uraraka replied. 'She'll be there in a few moments. Bye!'
She hung up, and as she did, the doorbell rang again.
"That was fast." I thought, walking over to the door.
I opened it to see Momo with a worried look on her face.
'Kacchan! Shouto! Go play outside or something.' I called as we walked over to the lounge.
We sat down at the kids ran upstairs. Momo created a med kit and took my shirt off before untying the bandages.
