Me, Chase, Adam, and Leo were standing by my locker

"Guys, with the dance coming up, I thought you could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out" Leo said

"Oh great, do you know a guy who can teach us?" Adam said I snickered

"Me!" Leo said "Your gonna watch me ask out the girl of my dreams: Danielle"

"Oh Dani we're like besties she so cool, you won't stand a chance" I said he glared at me

"Danielle isn't she the one who uses you as a footstool in math class?"

"Where else is she supposed to put her feet--on the floor?!"

"He's right every girl who's cute in this school as a footstool for every class, me included but I don't let them"

"Open your notebooks, boys, cause class is in session" Leo did some weird walk to Danielle while we waited by the lockers

"$10 bucks bets that she will already have a date" Adam said

"$10 bucks bets that she calls him the wrong name" I said we fisted bumped showing it's on

Leo tried talking to her but she walked away after calling him Lenny, Adam got ten bucks from his pocket and handed it to me

"Sweet now I can get that dress I wanted for the dance, thanks Leo" I patted his shoulder

"So, Leo... what should I write down in my notebook? I mean, other than "Denied."

"No, no you can cheat off of me. I have, 'She's not going to the dance with Lenny.'"

Then Bree came by "Are you talking about the dance too? Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this stupid dance?"

"Nobody's asked you yet, have they?"

"No!" She wined

"Lucky, every guy has been asking me, even Trent" I shuddered

"I really want to go with that guy" Bree pointed to Ethan, I like him he hasn't asked me out cause he likes me as a friend, he's chill "His names Ethan, we sit next to each other in chemistry. Coincidence? I think not *Chemistry*" Bree said singing the last part

"What should I do?"

"I got this" Chase said stepping forward as Bree came and stood by me, he then removed some hair and tucked it behind his ear and used his super hearing

"He's talking about a girl he thinks is cute" Chase said "Ooh! He's talking about you!" Bree and I jumped a little and smiled at each other

"He's coming over right now to ask you to the dance"

"What? No! Now? Why? Really?!"

"How's it going?" Ethan said as he walked over

"Ethan! What a huge surprise! To see you here, for reasons we do not know"

"Hey Ethan!" Bree shouted but then she lowered her voice down a little "How...uh, you know...we...uh,you know...decided..." she struggled to get her words out

"What is that over there?" Bree pointed and as she pointed she ran away with her super speed

"Uh, where'd she go?" Ethan asked

"Uh, more importantly, what is that over there?" Adam said as the other three ran away

He turned around looking confused at me

"Sorry, I don't know what's happening so I'm just gonna head to class" he nodded still confused as I walked away to my class

I was sitting in the lab working on homework as Leo and Adam were playing with robots and all Adam did was keep hitting Leo's robot with his robot, it was getting annoying

"Okay you win" Leo said I rolled my eyes and got back to work

"Guys! I figured it out!" Chase said coming into the lab

"Can I not get my work done anywhere?" I asked closing my binder

"Oh me too!" Adam said ignoring my comment "Don't eat the outside of a pineapple, that will come back to haunt you"

"No, I figured out how to make Danielle like Leo" Chase said Leo looked a little happier "I recorded her with my bionic hearing, let me play it back for you" he said going over to the keyboard putting his flash drive finger into the smart board

"In the movie, the hero punched the bad guy and stole the baby right out of the alligators mouth! I would so go out with a guy like that!" It said as Adam got excited

Then Adams idea was to get a alligator and a baby, but of course Chase had a plan

What kind of plan is this? Adam was on the floor while the lockers were on top of him!

"Ooh! They're coming! Commence phase one of operation lady for Leo"

"Oh, no! This man is trapped!" Leo 'acted' heroic as Danielle and her friends walked by "He looks like he needs a hero to save him, I will take charge and heroically do just that!"

And of course Adam acted in need and need to be saved before the alligator came, what?

Leo then 'lifted' the lockers and 'freed' Adam, worst, operation, ever

But Danielle fell for Adam

"I'm sorry Leo" I rested my hand on his shoulder

"Great plan chase!"

"What are you talking about that didn't go as planned at all" I rolled my eyes and walked to class

Bree and I walked up to Chase, Adam and Leo

"Well, look its little miss flash and scram" I hit chases shoulder

"Ha ha, very funny" Bree said sadly "I think I scared Ethan off"

"Ya think? You left skid marks in the hallway"

"Well, I think there's only one way to fix this--I have to ask him to the dance"

"Well, here's your chance he's at his locker"

Bree started to walk over to Ethan but I didn't want to listen in so I stepped away, but then she ran away, again, and was on top of the lockers

I was in the living room working on more homework while Tasha was making some food then Bree walked in

"Hey Bree how's it going?"
"Horrible" I placed down my homework and walked to the counter

"Ethan was gonna ask me to the dance" she said sadly

"But she got nervous and ran away"

"Every time I see him, I panic and act like a total-"
"Dork monster?" Tasha interrupted

"Huge dork monster" Bree said

"Look you are not the first girl to act weird around the boy she likes" Tasha said as I sat in the chair next to Bree but then they both looked at me

"Fine, um in eighth grade I liked a boy name Jake and I maybe kinda sorta accidentally locked myself in a locker when a fire went off" That's not what happened I set something on fire and I put myself in the locker to tell Tasha that cause that's where the firefighters found me, it was the first time I used my powers at school

"Anyways I flew across the room and jumped on top of the lockers"

"Yeah, that's probably a first"

"Whenever he's around I get all flustered and glitchy and I just want to eat my face so I don't say something stupid"

"Honey, next time you see him just breathe!" Tasha said "Stay in the moment and your jitters will go away or just wear high heels"

"No don't do that"

Tasha gave me a look and I rolled my eyes going back to my homework

NEXT DAY
"How could you swipe Danielle away from both of us?!" I heard from my room, I walked down the stairs in the middle of what I'm guessing is a argument

"Who swiped Danielle away?" I asked from the middle of the stairs

"I didn't swipe her away, she just kinda fell in my lap like a beautiful, flowery angel from heaven-"

"We get it!" Leo interrupted but somehow my heart hurt, for some reason

"Well...uh...I'll leave you three to argue" I said and left to go upstairs

As I went upstairs a black bird with blue and white feathers was in my room with a note against its claw? I went over and took the note off

'We know who you are Scarlett, please follow the bird to where it leads you, we believe you will like it'

That was all it read, but I should go anyways I climbed out the window jumping into the air and flying with the bird, man it's been a while since I've flown

I did some flips and twists with the bird and lightly laughed with the bird as it took me to an unknown place

I arrived at a rock mountain, but not only was it a mountain, it had a house in it!

Then the bird shapeshifted into a person were what I am guessing is a superhero outfit

Her boots and outfit matched perfectly
"Welcome Scarlett, we've been waiting for you" she said man, I just loved her hair and eyes

Her long wavy black hair was pulled back into a ponytail as we walked inside, it was huge!

Upstairs it almost looked like the bat cave except the room was black and red, and without a symbol, walking into the basement there were two doors one with a series of tunnels and the other with what looked like a mission command room

"Welcome to your mission command house" she said

"What's your name?" I asked her

"My super hero name is The Raven, my real name is Mavis, I've been waiting a long time for you to come along"

"Why? I don't even know who you are, your like around my age"

"Actually I can't age, so I stay this way forever, and I was told to protect you as you learn your powers"

"By who?"

"Your parents, Scarlett, they still care"

"Then they wouldn't have left me..." I said walking towards a seat and sitting down

"They had their reasons but that story is for another time, your parents have made this for you"

"What am I suppose to do? I'm not a great hero, I can't use my powers in front of my family now, they might fear me"

"But those four haven't, they care, and I will prepare you"

"You? Why you?"

"Because I'm your guardian, told by your parents, you have taken fighting classes since you were born we just need you to remember, follow me" what else did I have to do, I followed her to the mission room where she stood next to a large glass room

"It's a memory chamber, highly advanced, step inside and all your memories will come flooding back"

"But I already have my memories-"

"Fake ones" she interrupted me "Ones replaced into your mind to hide the truth until you were ready, and you are"

"Whatever I'll step into the glass room or whatever" I stepped into the room, the door closed behind me as she hit a few buttons then I felt dizzy and fell

But then memories came flooding back, my training, all my powers, what they do, my superhero name, all of it came back

The door opened and Raven rushed in kneeling beside me helping me up

"Are you ok? Did it work?" I released myself from her and stood in the middle of the room

I made electricity spark from my hands, white sparks, I connected my hands together making a line of sparks, in connecting my hands I made my hands go over my head and down to my waist, making my whole superhero outfit come together

Turning to face her I smiled

"The Phantom has returned"

I climbed through my window again just in time to get ready for the dance

I changed into my dress and heels first and went to do my hair and makeup

I finished curling the last part of my hair, I finished putting on my pink lipstick and fixed up my smoky eye and headed out the door towards the dance

Me and Bree appeared at the door

"Hello, boys" we said at the same time but when Bree walked in, she almost tripped on her heels I rolled my eyes playfully

"Okay, if your gonna dance in those shoes, I suggest wearing a helmet"

She rolled her eyes and walked towards Ethan

"Wow...Scarlett you look great" Chase said I lightly blushed

"Thanks, you to Danielle's very lucky" Leo and Adam looked mad at that and I'm not gonna lie I kinda was to

Then Bree used her super speed and spun right out of the gym with Ethan

Later once Danielle came back and asked Chase to dance

"Leo I think it's time for the refrigerator" Chase said to Leo, what about a refrigerator?

"Do your thing big boy" Chase took Danielle's hand and told her to follow his lead

"Open the fridge, grab the eggs, open the mayo, spread the mayo-" and kept singing and dance about stuff in the fridge

"Leo Adam what did you do?" I asked glaring at Leo, he can't tell me the truth unless I do this, I'll get it from him

"Nothing" he said avoiding my gaze

"Look me in the eyes and tell me that" he looked in my eyes

"We told Chase about a fake dance so we could get Danielle to leave Chase" see it works

"Leo! Adam! I can't believe you would do this!" Adam and Leo looked down sadly but Adam being Adam walked over and made fun of Chase

But then Adam threw Danielle in the air and caught her with a bunch of streams with her, he put her down after she yelled at her

Then music stopped and changed to something else as Leo came out with four girls from the other doors and started doing some dance routine with them, but in the middle of it the cheerleaders pulled me away for something

When I came back Leo was apologizing to Adam and Chase, thank goodness, but the three of them saw another girl and ran after her after he said sorry, boys

"Cue it up, Scar!" Leo shouted to me as I began the music again

They were dancing like our Aunt and her friends from her book club did while I played the music, I think this is the best dance ever

It was fun, but they were gonna play a last song, and I wanted to show Chase how to slow dance

I walked up to him when he was seated in a chair "Hey Chase, wanna dance?" I asked

"Me? But I can't" he said I held my hand out to him and he took it

"I'll teach you, step by step and I won't make you look stupid, promise"

We took it like Ethan and Bree did, step by step, but Chase soon got the hang of it and he took the lead in a matter of minutes

"Fast learner I see" I teased as he spun me around

"Well I am the smartest man in the world" he replied I lightly laughed

"Hey, why did you want to dance with me?" He asked

"Well you didn't get to with Danielle and I thought you would like to learn, even if it's just with me, I can't dance well"

"Are you kidding me, your amazing, thanks for this though, I really appreciate it"

"No problem" I said as he spun me around twice before the song ended and I was the happiest girl in the whole world at this very moment
