Nineteen
~Max~
When I woke up the next morning I sat straight up. I noticed that Peter was gone. I sighed and laid back down this time taking up the entire bed. With a flick of a finger the candle on Peter's desk was lit. Before my time in Storybrooke Peter took the liberty of teaching me so magic, so now that I'm back I practice anytime I can get.
I grabbed a book off the floor and began to read until I was tired of reading. Tossing the book onto the bed I stood up. Stretching, I walked out of the tent with a yawn.
"Morning." Aeron said.
"You're up late." continued Felix.
I rolled my eyes and took a seat close to the small burning fire.
"Where's Peter?" I asked.
Aeron pointed to the far side of the camp. My eyes followed his sense of direction and landed on the treehouse. Peter was with Wendy. Felix took a seat beside me.
"Don't worry." he mumbled. " he's kicking her out. She's going back to the cages until he actually needs her this time."
"Good riddance." I smiled.
"Agreed." Aeron chimed in taking a seat on the other side of me. "She would always stare at us from the window during the bonfires. It was creepy, she was creepy." he took a sip from the cup that he was holding. "but you my friend had it worse. She was always drooling over your-"
I pushed him off the seat.
"Man." finished Aeron now sitting on the ground.
I stood up and began walking away as the two idiots laughed. I rolled my eyes and laughed at their stupidity. I arrived at the ladder just as Peter began walking down.
"Morning love." he said kissing my forehead.
Wendy trembled down the ladder behind him. Apparently my threat from last night was still fresh in her mind.
"Wendy was just leaving camp." he continued and two Lost Boys to gently led her out of camp and into the forest. I sighed relieved as she disappeared from sight.
"You know, Wendy told me that last night you went up to the treehouse and well, " he smiled. "threatened her."
I pretended to be shocked.
"Did I? I don't think that I remember ever getting out of bed last night."
"Oh really." he laughed.
"Yeah, got a problem?"
"Well no, except for the fact that I should be the one threatening people to stay away from you. Not you threatening people to stay away from me."
Peter raised a brow. I shrugged.
"She deserved it."
Peter laughed and pulled me into his arms.
"Thank you." he mumbled kissing the top of my head.
"Yeah." I replied slipping out of his arms.
"Hey."
I laughed walking away as I left Peter alone.
"Aeron! Felix!" I yelled.
Moments later two boys ran into my view.
"What?" Felix asked annoyed.
"We were kind of busy breaking in the new boys." Aeron adding swinging around his club.
"I'm bored." I said slumping against the nearest tree.
Aeron rolled his eyes.
"Get your bow." he mumbled. "Let's go hunting."
~Peter~
I watched as Max left with the boys. For a while I walked around unsure of what to do when I decided to go to Henry. I then made my way into the forest on a path that only I know. Arriving I took in a deep breath. I was so close to victory and I knew it.
"Henry?" I asked climbing up the ladder. "You up here?"
I heard muffled noises and creaks from feet stepping on the wood. I entered the small space where the boy was. Henry turned around and faced me. He peered behind me.
"No Max?" he asked.
"No." I answered. " she went hunting with some of the boys."
Henry began to walk around.
"Do you love my sister?"
I walked over towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Yes, why?"
"Because if I were to help you, I would do it for her."
"Why for Max?" I asked.
He turned and looked me square in the eyes.
"Because she deserves a happy ending." he told me "Even if it is with a villain like you."
I let out a light chuckle.
"Thank you Henry. I'll be seeing you again soon."
I made my way down the ladder and began back to camp.I waited for the hunting groups to return. Surprisingly I wasn't waiting for long. soon three out of the four groups returned and began to take care of their catches. I began to wait impatiently for Max and the rest of her group.
"Aeron shut up!" Felix's voice yelled.
I quickly ran to where his voice was the loudest and slowed down when I saw them. It wasn't long before one of them saw me.
"Pan!" Aeron called.
I could tell that there was tension in his voice.
"What happened?" I asked.
Aeron gave a nervous laugh.
"What do you mean what happened? Nothing happened. No one got killed, no one got lost. Well I mean we didn't lose anyone. Right Felix! We didn't lose anyone-"
Felix elbowed him in the side shutting him up.
"You idiots lost someone." I laughed. "Who?"
Both boys looked at each other. My eyes grew wide.
"You idiots lost Max!" I yelled.
I was about to strangle them when to arms wrapped around my waist.
"Got you." Max's laughing voice rang in my ear.
I took ahold of her and through her over my shoulder.
"Not funny love." I mumbled walking to my tent.
"Yes it was!" she laughed. "You looked so pissed."
"Did I now Princess?" I asked.
"I hate you." she grumbled as I walked in.
"We've been over this love. No you don't." I said setting her down on my bed.
