~Peter~
I led Wendy through the camp making sure that no one saw her. I then led her up the ladder to the treehouse.
"Make yourself at home." I said.
"Why?" she asked.
I rolled my eyes holding in my annoyance.
"Because my dear Wendy, you're going to be here for a while."
Wendy smiled looking at me as she ran her hand across the quilted sheets on the bed. I raised a brow and shook my head. I descended down the ladder as I mumbled a light 'bloody hell'.
Reaching the ground I began to search for Max. When the 'heroes' get here I wasn't to make sure that she's right by my side. First, I checked my tent.
"Max, love, where are you?'
I walked out and headed into the forest. I quickly made my way to the lagoon, but no Max. I began to get frantic. I ran down to the beach, but again, no Max. I flew up to the cliff, and no Max.
"Where in the hell could she-"
I stopped realizing something. I flew as fast as I could to the camps entrance. There, my feet touched the ground and I bolted to the treehouse only to find Max standing, crossed armed, in front of tar ladder. Her stare was hard and cold.
"Why the hell is Wendy still here?" she asked.
I avoided making eye contact with her.
"Peter." she said sternly.
I didn't budge. I heard her sigh in frustration and walk away. I couldn't let her know that I was using Wendy to get to Henry.
~Max~
After Peter went to talk Felix I decided to head back down to the beach. I kicked the sand and attempted to stay clear of the water. I looked back into the forest.
"I better get back to camp." I mumbled.
I began to head back to camp when I heard leaves ruffle. I pulled my dagger from my belt and I silently crept behind green to hind. I kept low to the ground when I felt a hand over my mouth.
"Max!"
I sighed with relief at the sound of Felix's voice. I stood up and placed my dagger back into my belt.
"Next time, just tap me on the shoulder." I laughed.
"Let's not have a next time." he agreed.
I rolled my eyes.
"What's the occasion?" I asked peering behind him.
"Oh, Peter wanted us to get ready for the heroes."
I nodded.
"And he wants you back at camp." Felix continued. I sighed.
"Course he dose."
I nodded and continued my way back. I arrived and figured Peter would be in his tent, but surprisingly no. I shrugged. I grabbed my bow and sat on his bed. I stared at the room taking in every detail. I laid down staring up at the ceiling.
"Screw this." I mumbled.
I stood up and walked out. I slung my bow on my back as I watched Peter creep down a ladder.
"What the hell are you up to Pan?"
Swiftly, I made my way towards the treehouse only to bolt up the ladder when Peter's back was turned. Smiling at the top I closed the hatch and turned around.
"Max, you're back!"
I stood in shock and disgust at who was up here.
"Wendy," I faked a smile " what are you doing here?"
She smiled taking a seat on the bed.
"Peter brought me up here!" she squealed. "I think he's finally starting to let his feelings for me through!"
I blinked.
"W-What?" I stuttered.
she leaned towards me.
"Between you and me I think he's liked me for a while now.'
I scoffed.
"Yeah, ok."
I began back down the ladder.
"Come visit more often!" Wendy called down.
She received no response as my feet touched the ground. With just my luck Peter was walking into camp. I raised a brow and crossed my arms when he noticed me.
"Why the hell is Wendy still here?"
He avoided my gaze.
"Peter."
Nothing.
I laughed in disbelief and walked into the forest.
"He's in love with Wendy." I whispered as my tears hit the ground. "That damn bastard."
