~Max~

I sat in the middle of the dense forest of Neverland. No tears fell as I just sat there staring into the dark distance. Night had fallen as I ran out of the camp hours earlier. Memories came flooding back. the good and the bad. I hung my head at the most recent one.

Finally, self pitying got boring. I slowly stood up and dusted the dirt off my black pants. I began ti walk deeper into the forest. I needed to get as far away from him as possible. Soon, I met a fork in my path. I fought within for which way to go.

"Max."

My eyes grew wide at the sound of my name. I turned around to see my step sister Snow.

"Snow?" I breathed.

"What are you doing here?" she asked pulling me in for a tight hug.

Pulling away from her grasp I held a finger to my lips.

"Leaving." I whispered.

"How? Your mother said that Pan took you."

I scoffed.

"Of course she would say that."

Snow now looked seriously confused.

"I ran to Pan's camp."

"Wait-what-why?"

I looked to the ground.

"Oh." snow realized. "But then why are you leaving?"

"Peter hasn't really been honest with me." I told her.

She laughed.

"Oh Max, love isn't an easy thing."

"I know that Snow, but he's well, him. I don't know! He wouldn't answer me when I asked him about it."

She looked me in the eyes.

"Maybe he wasn't ready. Maybe what he did was for a special purpose. Just give him a second chance. After all, he had been waiting for you for how many years."

I bit my lip.

"Alright." I nodded, "I'll give him another chance, but if he screws this up again I want to be the one who sticks the knife through him.'

"That's my girl."

I smiled and gave Snow a hug.

"Thank you." I said walking away.

I made my way back through the forest the way I came. About halfway to camp I heard my name, again. I turned around.

"Peter-" I began, but then the next thing I knew, his lips were on mine.

I slammed my hand on the closet tree leaving a large hole enough to fit well more than five books. I ran my hand through my hair.

"I can't believe she said that to Max!" I yelled at Felix. "I knew that it was a bad idea bringing Wendy up here!"

"Well, what are you going to do?" he asked "Just let Max be in the forest at this time of the day? Especially with her family looking for her?"

My head bolted up. I completely forgot about them. with Max in her state they could use her against me. I began to get angry with myself. I let my most useable weakness walk out of camp and into probable danger. I turned to Felix.

"Get the boys ready Felix. Until I return you're in charge and if I don't return before the others get here well, do whatever you need to do to keep them away from Henry."

Felix nodded and walked away barking orders to the boys. I looked to the forest.

"The things I do for you Max." I mumbled taking off into the green thickness of the forest.

It wasn't long until I found Max. To my surprise she was walking in the direction towards camp.

"Max." I said

She turned around and said my name. Something inside me took over and I found myself crashing my lips onto hers. Warmth took over me as I felt her body on mine. Then she pulled away, and a sharp pain hit the side of my face.

"That's for not telling me what the hell is going on." she yelled before grabbing my shirt and pulling me in for a kiss.

Our lips were in sync as her hands ran through my hair. I parted and placed my forehead on hers leaving my hands on the sides of her neck.

"Tell me you love me." she whispered looking up at me.

I met her gazed and kissed her forehead.

"I love you Lost Girl. I love you and nothing can change that."
