Y/n and rogue soon headed out the mansion and hopped in her car, Y/n Had freshened up  and threw on some different threads.

Rogue had to keep her body suit as a precaution of her powers but threw on a coat and some black leather boots.

The power couple sat outside of the chipotle on a table with their respective food.

"One of these days you're gonna catch a bigger heart attack than a cheetah suguh." Rogue said with a smirk as she watched her boyfriend unwrap one packed burrito with two others  still wrapped in tin foil.

"I been more calories then an Olympic athlete babe, gotta a lot to even feel full." Y/n responds playfully he goes in for a bite then stops. " plus I love food." Y/n says before he takes a bite.

"Ain't no one  love food that much." Rogue shakes her head as she poked her fork in her burrito bowl and lifts it up for a bite.

"Don't hear you saying that when I'm eating you." Y/n teases with a smirk as he takes a sip of his orange juice.

Rogue blushes in mock offense and kicks his leg.

"Ow! I'm playing I'm playing" y/n laughs motioning his hands in surrender.

"Boy don't be sayin stuff like that in public." Rogue scolds though she had a playful smirk on her face, her man loved teasing. " now how did your granddaddy react  to that bottomless pit you call a stomach?."

"It was the first time he ordered a pizza for us." Y/n said as he remembered the moment vividly. " he left me alone with the pie for 5 minutes , when he got back in the kitchen  the whole thing was gone." Y/n said chuckling to himself. " oh babe you should have seen him , bakana Otoko! (foolish boy!) you could have left me one slice!"  Y/n said imitating his late grandfathers voice and accent before laughing.

Rogue giggled at the silly imitation. " now ah know damn well he don't sound like that!" Rogue says through her giggling as her man was clearly exaggerated.

"Baby I swear, sometimes he just sounded like a movie villain when he got angry."  Y/n said getting his laughter under control. " sigh man... I wish you could have met him." Y/n said with a sad smile, he the felt rogues leg nudge him gently, he saw rogue smiling at him softly.

"Me too." Rogue she said with sympathy, she knows how much his grandpa meant to him. " now turn that frown upside down and eat before  it gets cold." She ordered playfully, hoping to get his spirits back up, and it worked.

Y/n smiled. " yes m'am." Y/n said biting his burrito.

After they ate their respective meals, they were soon back in the car, they didn't have to get pack to the mansion so they decided to make a date out of it and see what else they could do today. " any good movies out right now? What you thinking?"  Y/n says as he scrolls on his phone from the passenger seat while rogue drove.

"Hmm, Maybe an adventure but nothin too serious." Rogue described as she just wanted something entertaining, not thought provoking.

"Let's see... well there's 6 underground, definitely not a heavy hitter but could be fun." Y/n says an amused tone.

"Oooh yeah let's do that one, Ryan reynolds is cute." Rogue says with a smile.

"Hey" y/n said in offense.

"Remember when we were watching  Friday?" Rogue asked with a raised eyebrow.

Y/n chuckles. " touché." A moment of weakness, it was Nia Long.

"Mhmh." Rogue sounded with a smirk, soon they find  the theater  and. Rogue pulls up to the parking lot of the movie theater.

"They better not have raised the prices for the candy or someone's getting punched in the face." Y/n said as he hopped out the car, candy at the movie theater was way too expensive. " come to think of it I should stash my own next time we go... rogue?" Y/n asked  as she hadn't responded, he looks to her and then he sees what's up.

Rogue had been watching couples holding hands , hugging and kissing,  perhaps it wasn't an issue for them anymore but he was a unique case, the fact of the matter was she still ran the risk of killing someone if they touch her skin.

Y/n walked behind and her and hugged her, rogue helds his arms almost instinctively, laying her cheek against his. "You okay?"

"Ah am, just wish ah didn't have to be so careful all the time." Rogue explained. "They brush against me and ima leave with a nasty headache , hm, I'd love to go out dancin".   Rogue said sadly.

Y/n held her hand. " hey, you'll get passed this , remember what I told you?" Y/n asked.

Rogue smiles. " it's my power, ah control it."she repeated chuckling.

"That's right and I'm gonna help you every step of the way." Y/n said in confidence.

" you always know what to say suguh." Rogue said feeling his motivation working on her,  she placed a kiss on his cheek, and then kissed his lips, rubbing her face against his. "ever since ah first met you." She speaks recalling their rookie days.

Flashback. 7 years ago

"So we're getting a new student?" Y/n said as he circled his opponent on the mat.

"Yeah chuck said it's a girl who was working under mystique, who was taking care of her like she was her own." Wolverine explained as he circled y/n as well.

Y/n and wolverine clashed, wrestling as one tried to gain the upper hand on the other. " think we can trust her?" Y/n said in a strained voice as he was caught in a head lock.

"Trust her? No, but we're all about building towards that sort of thing." Wolverine responded . " but that's where you come in, it would make her feel more welcome knowing there's someone else her age here in a similar position." Wolverine explained as y/n broke out of the headlock and caught Logan in a submission of his own.

" make the newbie feel welcome, got it."  Y/n nodded as he tried to submit wolverine.

"Heh, you're still a newbie yourself  kid." Wolverine reminded as he got ready to counter the hood.

Y/n rolled his yes in amusement. " yeah yeah, any idea when she's getting here?"

"Hey guys Charles and the girl are here!"  Their teammate angel called out from the doorway of the gym.

"Already!?" OH SHIT! Gugh!!!" Y/n grunted as Logan had lifted him up in his distraction and effectively power bombed him onto the mat, quite harshly. " ugh... kuso.(fuck...)" y/n groaned in Japanese.

"Aite e no shūchū-ryoku o kesshite ushinawanai ( never lose focus on your opponent)" wolverine spoke in Japanese. " I'm sure your grandfather taught you that one." Wolverine said as he held his hand out.

Y/n accepted the helping hand up. " yeah only in a more disapproving tone." Y/n chuckled rubbing his lower back as they began walking out of the gym.

Soon they make their way over and y/n notices wolverine waiting outside. " your not coming in?" Y/n asked in confusion.

" I'm not the best for a first impression, work your magic then we can worry about me." Wolverine said as he leaned against the wall.

"Alright." Y/n smirks, as he knocks a bit.

"You may enter." Xavier speaks to y/n telepathically.

With the ok y/n enters. " yo." He greets the professor as he closed the door.

"Hello  y/n, I trust training with wolverine has been going well?" Professor greeted with a welcoming smile.

"Yup, a few broken noses and bruises but nothing that won't heal in a few minutes." Y/n responded, an adamantium skeleton mean injuries were frequent.

"I see, well try not to over do it, now." Professor x getting to the matter at hand and looked over to the girl who at once the sofa, with her hood up. " I would like you to meet the newest addition to the mansion." He said allowing the two to get acquainted.

Y/n smiled and walked a bit . " nice to meet ya, names y/n yuhi." He greeted as he held his hand out.

The girl had a green jacketed on, with blacking clothing and shoes to match,  she  had nets on her arms, and when he held his hand out she seemed to shift a bit, holding her hands away as if ready to back up, letting him know she was guarded, not wishing to alarm her he took his hand back, but still smiled politely.

She seemed to relax and spoke. " rogue." She spoke a southern accent  noticeable in her weak tone.

"Rogue" y/n said testing the alias on his tongue. " like the fantasy class, that's preety cool." He complemented.

Rogue looked up allowing y/n to get a good look at her face, seeing the black makeup she wore. " you a nerd or somethin?" Rogue questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Sure, and you're a goth im guessing?" Y/n asked with a smile rolling with the light Jab.

Rogue seemed a bit miffed by the comment, she then removed her hood which let him see her completely.

"She has really preety hair....hell she's just plain preety." Y/n thought in his thought in his mind.

"I ain't no damn goth!" Rogue spoke in offense.

"Hey you called me a nerd first, besides you kinda fit the description of a goth." Y/n teased lightly, rogue glared but he could tell it was just out of annoyance then actual hate, which was plus in his opinion. " wasn't expecting a southern accent though, where are you from?" Y/n asked as he took a seat at the other end of the couch.

"Mississipi." Rogue responded also taking a seat.

"Is that where they have the state fair?" Y/n asked in interest.

Rogue surprisingly managed a weak chuckle as she crossed her arms and leaned back on the couch. " no you're thinking about Texas, we got barbecue, the river and Elvis." Rogue explained.

"Eh, Elvis is overrated." Y/n shrugged in an unimpressed tone.

"Hm, True, Im more of a Beatles fan."  Rogue agreed.

"And Michael Jackson beats them both."  Y/n said with a smirk.

Rogue look genuinely offended. " you take that back! The Beatles had the music world in their hands before anybody."

"But name one member of the  Beatles who can moon walk." Y/n argued back.

Meanwhile professor x smiled at the the teenagers banter, this is why he wanted y/n to meet  rogue first, y/n had a way of connecting with people, some faster than others , which showed him how well the boys grandfather must have raised him, not only would this help influence his plants to make him a teacher, but he could see that this was the start of a good relationship between the two of them.

After the professor had provided her a tour and introduced her to present members of the team , by the end of it y/n had offered to walk her to her room.

"Here we are." Y/n said as he opened the door to rogues room.

Rogue looked around, it was a simple bedroom, a medium sized bed drawers and even a bathroom.

"It's not much, but it's yours, feel free to decorate it too." Y/n said simply.

Rogue took a look around. "Thank you." She said, it looked homey.

"We will get you into the swing of things tomorrow, if You need some help im down the hall to the left." Y/n expressed pointing to his room.

Rogue nodded.

Y/n smiled, he thought about offering a handshake but decided against it. " ill leave you to it then." Y/n said as he began walking back to his room.

"Ah can't." Rogue said suddenly.

Y/n stopped and looked at her in confusion. "Can't what?"

"Shake your hand." Rogue explained. " my power.... When i touch people, i take their memories...and their powers...and they end up really hurt." Rogue explained with a frown, pushing down what happened with cody.

Y/n offered a smile. "I understand, i didn't hold it against you."

Rogue looked at him with a frown. "....can this place really help people like us?....can we ever really be accepted?" Rogue asked wanting his opinion.

Y/n sighed scratching his head and decided to speak honestly. " well im not gonna sugar coat it and give you some sappy answer, like the professor said what we are fighting isn't gonna happen overnight and everyone has to play their part."

Y/n then looks rogue in the eye. " but i can promise you this, we are more than just a team and school of mutants, we take care of our own, and i hope you'll consider this place home like i have." Y/n spoke with a smile and conviction.

Rogue senses no lies from him, hes not speaking honeyed words to make her feel better he genuinely believes that.

Rogue nodded. "Ok, just try not to be careful around me alright?" Rogue said, so far she felt the most comfortable speaking to him and the professor and she would hate to hurt them unintentionally.

Y/n smiled. " hey, its gonna take more than a super touch to put me down." Y/n eyes glowed blue briefly and gave her a wink. " buenas noches bonita." Y/n said as he walked back to his room.

Rogue blushed, she didn't speak spanish but she knew those words, she smiled to her self, maybe being at the mansion wouldn't be so bad after all, she went inside her room thinking about the cute boy as she went to sleep.

Flashback end.

Y/n smiled fondly as he was still hugging rogue as they leaned against the hood of the car. "I remember, you were shyer back then."  Y/n said as rogue had really come out of her shell.

Rogue chuckled. " and you were thinner back then,  ah could have snapped you like a twig."  Rogue teases as she kissed his neck. " was that your only impression of me back then? A shy emo girl?" Rogue asked in interest.

"Nah, i saw a girl who clearly had it worse than me,  i had the benefit of having a  power that could be hidden and that was a reminder that every mutant has a different experience." Y/n expressed honestly laying his head against hers.

Y/n then had a sheepish look on his face. " i was also worried you might've been a little racist." Y/n revealed.

"What?!" Rogue exclaimed looking up at him in shock. "Why the hell would you think that?!"

Y/n chuckled "I know i know, but cmon you're from Mississippi, i was just ready for the possibility , being a mutant doesn't absolve us from ignorance you know." Y/n explained.

"Thats fair." Rogue accepted. " we'd definitely get some looks deep in Mississippi  too." Rogue said in distaste. " but thankfully we ain't in Mississippi so kiss me suguh." Rogue speaks firmly with a smile.

Y/n chuckled locking lips with her, enjoying the makeout  and ignoring the outside world, unfortunately it couldn't last.

"RIIIING!!!"

Y/n detached from rogue with an irritated look. "FUCK!" Y/n shouted in frustration as he knew shit was popping off, he may have liked fighting but the timing of said fights was always terrible. He then noticed people looking at him in confusion. " The fuck yall looking at?!"  He yelled making the people turn back and mind their own business.

Rogue nudged his chest so he would settle down. " she pulled out her phone. "Wheres the fire hank?" Rogue greeted as she put her phone on speaker so they could both hear.

"Apologies for the interruption you two but unfortunately there is an attack taking place downtown, could you two head there and provide a helping hand? we will be on standby should you need the assistance." Hank said explaining the situation.

"Will do hank." Rogue responded as she hung up. " time to kick some tail southpaw." Rogue said with a smirk.

"You know spiderman is usually downtown, can't we just let him handle it so we can watch the movie?" Y/n suggested with a smile.

Rogue crossed her arms with an unamused expression.

"Ugh..fiiine..lets go save the day." Y/n groaned as he hopped in the passenger seat.

Rogue smiled as she got in the drivers seat. "Thats better now hang on suguh!" She yelled as she stepped on it and sped off.
