Harvey
Once the twins were inside, Danny went back to help Jessica out of the van.
"Ready to run, momma?" He asks.
"Yeah." Jessica smiles and reaches out for him.
"Oh no, I may need backup! I may need backup!" Danny jokes.
"Shut up you ass!" Jessica laughs.
Once they are in the house Jessica looks around and sees all of her family there.
"What the hell is everyone doing here?"
"Well hello to you too, mom!" Gabriella says.
"I mean I love y'all, but what the hell are you doing here?"
"The hurricane is coming!" Anastasia shouts.
"What? There's no hurricane!"
"There is! Bad weather turned tropical storm, turned hurricane! We're all here because you have the biggest house.. and best snacks." She smiles.
"Oh great.."
"Is it really a hurricane?" Danny asks.
"Yep! It's been named! Hurricane Harvey."
"I think you're lying." Jessica says.
"Mom, it's all over the news!" Isaiah says.
"Oh.. well let me change into some comfy pj's. All these people in my house, Someone is making me some dinner!"
**
Two hours later.
"Mommy, the door! Someone's at the door!" Willow says.
"I'm coming, baby." Jessica walks over and opens the door.
"Hey George! What are you doing here?"
"Hurricane party! You have the biggest house!"
"So I've heard." She says as George walks in.
"Come on in, I don't mind."
**
"Ooh Isaiah, this is spicy! What the hell did you put in this?!" Danny asks. His eyes wide and his forehead sweaty.
Jessica sat beside him eating the exact same thing, watching him react totally different.
"You're such a girl." She says to him.
"Jess, this is spicy!"
Jessica takes another bite and makes a face at him.
"You're over reacting."
"Hahaha! Grandpa, you're a little girl!" Charlotte laughs and points.
"Oh great! Thanks, Jess!"
"Any time, honey." She smiles.
**
After dinner Jessica wasn't feeling too great.
She sat up a little and held the side of her belly.
"Ooh! Maybe spicy food wasn't the best decision."
"What's wrong?" George asks.
"The babies are just super wild, my stomach kinda hurts, and I have really bad heartburn. But I guess I always have that."
"Because they have so much have hair!" Emily smiles.
"Yep! And that doesn't surprise me. Isaiah had so much dark hair at birth!" Just then Jessica gets a contraction. "Ah.." She breathes deeply.
"Woah.. You okay?"
Jessica nods her head up and down as she breathes in and out.
"Should I call Sunshine?"
"No, she's not in town."
"What?!" Isaiah's eyes widen. "Where is she?!"
"Well she left because she swore the weather would be bad.. even after I told her it wasn't!" Jessica says as the house shakes from how loud the thunder is.
"Ahhhh!" All of the kids scream.
"But it's okay! She'll be back on Monday which is when they're going to come. Not a moment sooner." Jessica points her finger.
"I just need to go upstairs and get some rest. Try to keep it somewhat quiet, okay?"
"Sure thing, mom. I'll come up and check on you in a little while." Isaiah says.
"Okay, baby. Thank you." Jessica says as he helps her up.
Jessica then waddles towards the stairs and stops.
She sighs and throws her head back.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"Why do we have so many stairs?" Jessica whines.
"Heh! I'll help you, momma."
"Thank you, baby."
Isaiah ran over, took one hand, then placed the other on her back for support.
Once they got up to her room Jessica was exhausted.
"You okay?"
"Yeah.. damn, that's a lot of stairs!"
"I know! Remember when Gabriella pushed me down them?!"
Jessica scoffs. "Oh what a little bitch she is!"
"Tell me about it!" He laughs.
"Here momma, lay down."
"No, I'm gonna use the restroom and then I'll lay down. You go ahead, I'm fine." Jessica smiles softly.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive! Now go, I have to use the bathroom!" Jessica bounces up and down.
"Okay!" Isaiah laughs. He then hugs her and kisses her cheek.
"You want me to call dad up so he can help you off?"
"Heh!
..No, I'll just yell out for him. My voice travels."
"Alright." He chuckles.
"No need to scream, I'm already here. Are you gonna take forever?"
Jessica rolls her eyes, "This man is so damn caring."
"Make it fast, Jess. We're in the middle of a really important game!"
"What game?"
"Me, Charlie and Willow are playing candy land, and I'm winning!"
Jessica laughs.
"Stop laughing and do your business, woman!"
**
After using the restroom and finally getting comfortable, Jessica laid in bed just thinking.
Jessica has had way too many babies to be this naive. She felt different. The babies felt different.
Jessica knew this was the beginning of labor, all the signs were there.
She laid back softly rubbing her belly as she came down from a contraction.
"You need to calm down. Don't come yet.
Monday morning when Sunshine gets back is when you guys can come out, okay?"
All three babies start kicking and punching at the sound of their grandmother's voice.
Jessica chuckles then winces in pain.
"Ow! I guess you just don't care, do you? You little chunkers want out!
..Oh gosh.. Well we have to keep it on the down low for now. A hurricane is supposedly coming. Probably just a little storm, nothing too bad.
But still.. just calm down and stay in there, please."
**
Jessica was able to get a few hours of sleep.
That is until she woke with the most excruciating pain.
Jessica sat up and cried out.
"Oh! Owww.. DANNYYYYY!"
Things were too loud downstairs so they didn't hear her. The pain rolled through Jessica's body making her moan loudly.
Just then she felt a wetness on her bottom.
"Oh no! We had a deal!!" She shouts.
Once the pain passed she managed to stand and walk downstairs. One hand under her belly and the other on the railing.
"Hey.. Hey guys!" Jessica shouts but no one is paying attention.
"Y'all! HEYYYY!" She screams.
"Oh Jessie, you're up! Come here, baby, we're playing-"
"My water broke!" Jessica cries.
"WHAT?!" Everyone's eyes went wide.
"I-I knew it was coming. I've been having pains and.. not to get too personal and gross but.. I went to the bathroom and well.. things happened.... Everything cleaned out like it does when your body makes room for the babies to be born.."
"Ew." Charlotte makes a face.
"I told them not to come yet but they didn't listen because my water broke and now we're stuck in this house with all of youuuuu!" Jessica sobs. "I'm havin these baby, y'all!"
"Well! At least we have a doctor in the house." Gabriella says.
"Who?!" Isaiah's eyes widen. He was absolutely terrified.
"You!"
"No! No not yet!"
"You're the only one that knows what they're doing!"
"You've had babies!"
"Ow I'm getting another one!" Jessica hunches over.
"Zaya, please! I've never delivered triplets before, you're the only one who has gone to school for this. I know I'm your mom, I know it's weird, but I need you!" Jessica looks to her son in tears.
"Sunshine isn't here, it's flooded everywhere! You're gonna have to deliver these babies, son."
"Okay.. okay, I can do it.. We can both do it together. We're gonna be okay!"
Isaiah was in full panic mode, but he tried his best to remain calm for his mother.
Of course horrible thoughts ran through his mind, but he needed to remain positive and hopeful for a quick and healthy delivery.
