Vote'n Day
Throughout the year
I listen, dear,
To all the trap and cackle
Folks who bristle
Like righteous thistles
At each new political prattle
On vote'n day, we must cast our vote
For equal pay
For infrastructure
And agriculture
For space race funds
And less taxation
And better education
For gender equality
And a healthy economy
For diplomacy
And safer vacations
For mutual respect
And gun control
And tariff control
And kindness control
And knowledge control
And speech control
But I have my strong suspicion
That, when we stand alone behind that curtain,
Our votes go to who we pray
Will keep WW3 away.
