"I can't believe we're gonna be sophomores in a few months."

"Yeah, it feels like this year went by super fast."

Billy sat up from his spot, laying down face first on the grass. "Speak for yourself! School felt like it went on forever!" Billy laid back down, almost falling alseep with his head in the short grass.

The trio of Adrian, Billy, and Lily were currently sitting/laying down on the grass just outside of the school grounds, reminiscing about the months prior.

3 sets of foot steps on the grass interrupt the trio.

"Hi guys! Why's Billy face-first in the grass?"

"Bro looks like he's having an existential crisis." Penny chuckled at Carla comment.

Nugget silently chuckled at two of his friends.

After the events at their second kindergarten in the lab, Carla (as well as Ted) got really close to Adrian, Nugget, Lily, and Billy. Surprisingly her and Lily got along amazingly. Carla even convinced the group to let in Penny after she and Monty rebuilt her.

Speaking of Monty-!

"You guys going to Jerome and Monty's party this week?"

Adrian rolled his eyes at this friend. Everyone knew Carla and Monty liked each other, well everyone except Carla and Monty. So it wasn't surprising when they argued and bickered with each other but still found a way to be talk to or about each other or just be near each other.

Billy responds, not missing Adrian's silent eye roll, "I don't know yet, it might be a shitshow."

"Yeah, why are they even having a party?" Lily asks.

Carla rolled her eyes. "Does Jerome ever need a reason to throw a shitty party."

"Oh come on! There not all bad." Penny playfully hit Carla on the shoulder. "I think it's a 'first day of summer vacation' party.

"That's not until a couple of weeks though?" Nugget added.

"My point exactly! It's dumb."

The teacher kept droning on about nothing. School ended in 4 weeks but mentally Adrian fully checked out. He was counting the hours until summer vacation started so he could finally sleep in, not socialize to random's in class, and hang out with Billy without any supervision (get your mind out of the gutter, they're just friends).

Finally Adrian's english teacher stopper his lecture, with time to spare left in the period.

This was a decent sized class with a couple of his friends too. Ozzy, Ron, and Alice were at their little island in the middle of the room. Ted was reading silently at the front of the class, and Buggs- actually Buggs wasn't in class today. Adrian saw him around and in some other classes in the morning so I guess he was just skipping last period again.

Out of all the options Adrian had to socialize, he picked Ozzy and his group since Ted looked like he didn't want to be disturbed at the moment.

"Sup, Oz." Adrian sat down in one of the empty chairs next to Alice.

Ozzy looked slightly surprised that he was talking to him. After Ron and Madison return from the lab Ozzy significantly calmed down about his hatred for the new kids. He still has occasional freakouts, like when Billy borrowed his "favorite pencil" even though he has at least 40 others that look identical to it.

"Oh! Uh, hey Adrian."

"Hi Adrian!" both Ron and Alice said. While Ron practically yelled it, Alice said it so quietly it could pass as a whisper.

"Hey guys, y'all going to the party this weekend?"

Ozzy rolled his eyes. "Of course I'm not going, the only reason those dumbasses are even having a party is because they're bored and have money." Adrian tried to stifle a laugh. Ozzy continued his rant. "They could've at least had the decency to wait till the actual start of summer."

Alice chuckled and said, "You know you're related to one of those idiots, right?"

"Legally speaking? Unfortunately yes."

After school Adrian met up with Lily, Billy, and Nugget to head to the local convince store to get some snacks.

While Nugget and Billy were soft arguing at each other over which is better, Doritos or Pringles, Lily heard slightly louder arguments over increasingly dumber things in an isle or two away from them.

Normally Lily won't be concerned about it but something about the voices sounded familiar to her, and before Lily could pinpoint why Nugget, Billy, and Adrian caught up with her and the group turned the corner to the voices.

Lily could see the disappointment in Nuggets eyes.

"Cindy that guy's a fucking creep!"

"He cute though! And he treats well, he buys me lunch, and texts me often!"

"By treating you well, you mean the bare minimum?"

Jerome, Monty, and Cindy continued arguing about Cindy's current "boyfriend", a 18 year old senior she has art with, while Buggs shoved as many snacks as he could into his arms.

Billy was the first one who alerted the chaotic group of their presence, "You guys do know your in public, right?"

Cindy momentarily stopped pleading her case to Jerome to look at Billy.

"Where the fuck did you trolls come from." she crossed her arms with a judgmental frown.

Over the years Cindy definitely mellowed out with her bullying, that doesn't mean she stopped completely though.

"What the hell are you idiots even talking about?" Adrian sarcasticly asked.

"Who the fuck are you calling an idiot?!" Monty said a little louder then intended.

"A little reminder that we're in public!" Lily whispered-shouted.

Buggs finally spoke up. "Yeah, and? They're's basically no one in here."

Nugget rolled his eyes at his statement."

"What are you guys shopping for anyway? The party's not for another few days." Billy swiftly changed the conversation.

Jerome silently chuckled. "We're not shopping for the party, we're just here 'cause Buggs is a fatass and refuses to come to our weekly movie nights without food."

"Hey!"

Nugget laughed at that. "Movie night?"

"Shut the fuck, country boy." Monty sneered.

"Hey, don't call him that!"

"Do you prefer cousin fucker?"
