"So, Ikki, what're you planning to do today?"
Ikki turned around, coming face to face with his life long crush. "Oh! Hey Karin! Not much, really. You?" Karin smiled, clasping her hands together. "I wanted to see if you'd join me to visiting Liam's house! I heard he took in a new medabot yesterday." Ikki's own medabot immediately busted in. "Another Medabot?! What about Prowl?! They're partners!" Ikki tried to grab onto Metabee's shoulders, trying to stop the beetle's tantrum. "Hey, hey! I'm sure it's not like that, 'bee!" "Oh yeah?! Just wait till I get my hands on Liam!" Karin let out a small giggle, distracting the two from their argument. "Liam didn't get rid of Prowl, he's just taking care of the medabot until it's medafighter is found. I wanna see it." Medabee let out a huff "Oh thank god."

Karin took Ikki's wrist, dragging him along. "Let's go see it!" "Wha- ok! Ok!" Ikki sweat dropped, stumbling behind the red head. Metabot hurriedly followed, not wanting to be left behind. "Wait for me!" He yelled, trying his hardest to keep up. Karin pulled up to Liam's house, hurridly knocking on the door. "I wonder what this medabot looks like. Is it strong? I wanna fight it!" "Slow down there, Metabee. We haven't met it just yet." The door opened, revealing a child, roughly 14-15 years of age. He had brown hair and tanned skin, freckles adoring his face. Grey eyes looked at the two young kids. "Oh hey, guys! Did you come to see the new medabot?" The boy asked, playing with his shirt buttons. "Yeah! Can we, Liam?" Ikki asked "Yeah! I wanna see it!" Metabee chimmed in. Liam smiled, opening the door wider. "Go ahead! Prowl is in my room with it right now."

The two young kids and the medabot went uptairs, finding Liam's room. His room was small, accompanied by a bed, curtains, a tv, playstation, and blue walls. On the floor nearby the bed, there sat Prowl, a green armadillo lizard bot, and the new medabot. "Hey, Prowl!" Karin cheered, entering through the door. Ikki and Metabee followed, sitting on the floor with everyone else. "Hey guys! This is the new medabot we're caring for! Their name is (y/n). (y/n), these are my friends!" Prowl set her hand on your shoulder, pointing at each individual. "That's Karin, this is Ikki, and-" "I'm Metabee!" You jumped back a little, startled by the beetle's sudden yelling. "'bee! Let me finish!"

You moved your eyes, looking sympathetic. "It's alright. Nice to meet you." Ikki turned his head, looking down at your small robotic form. "What's your model? You seem familiar." You thought for a second, trying to remember your model name. "I believe it's DVL-42212, type Devil." "Oh yeah! We fought some of those back when we first met, Ikki!" Ikki laid a fist in his palm. "Oh yeah! That's right!" Liam soon entered, sitting down on his bed. "So, wanna robattle?" Metabee asked, seeming extremely excited. You rubbed the back of your helm, trying not to sound rude. "I'd love to, but uhm..I don't have a medafighter right now-" Liam patted your head. "It's alright. We'll find her/him/them/xem/zem."

You nodded, standing up. "Let's go look now!" Everyone else agreed, deciding some fresh air was needed too. As you all did, Karin split ways with the rest of you, saying she needed to finish homework. By now, the group was resting at the park. "We've been searching for hours.." Liam mumbled. "And no luck.." You joined in, gloomy. "We'll find her/him/etc, promise!" Prowl gave you a side hug, trying to cheer you up. "Yeah..I hope so." Suddenly, there was a loud bang. "(Y/n)!" Ikki drug you to the ground, ordering Metabee to fire back. "Prowl, you help too!" "Yes, sir!" There was dirt flying all over, the humans coughing from it being lifted into the air. "Who did that?!" Ikki yelled, helping you stand back up. "I did." A boy. He wore a red hoodie with blond hair. Beside him stood a medabot, a dragon type.

"Who are you?" Liam asked, running to stand beside Prowl eagerly. "It's not important. Hand that medabot over, they aren't yours." Ikki immediately grew defensive. "They aren't yours either!" You looked up at Ikki with wide eyes. He was protecting you? Humans didn't do the protecting, medabots did. Something inside you felt...Warm, fuzzy, unnatural. But at the same time, it felt nice. "Ikki.." Ikki stood in front of you, talking into his medawatch. "Metabee, you ready?" "Yeah! Ready when you are!" And with that, the robattle begun. Of course, the ref was there too. He called this match a submission battle.

The rival bot was the first to attack, 'bee not able to dodge in time. "Metabee! Are you okay?" The robot in question gave his owner a thumbs up. "Yeah! Now hurry and give me a command!" Ikki nodded, going back to focusing on the battle. "Metabee, jump into the water!" "huh?" You stared at Ikki weirdly. Why the water? Suddenly a loud splash and what sounded like gunshots startled you. You quickly grabbed Ikki's legs. He smiled down at you. "Don't worry, you're safe." Turns out Metabee listened, gaining the upperhand on the dragon. "Match over!" "Good job you two!" Liam came over, praising the younger boy and bot. "Yeah! That's amazing!" Prowl chimmed in, jumping happily. You continued to hug Ikki's legs. "Thanks, Ikki! I really mean it!" "It was no problem!"

Ever since that encounter with the boy and his medabot, you've wanted to stay with Ikki. You constantly begged and begged Liam to take you to see Ikki, even begging Prowl to wear her vest just to go to the school. Thankfully, Liam finally gave in. "You can join me, but you HAVE to behave, ok? I can't have you wondering off." You gave him a small salute, putting on Prowl's extra vest. "Will do, Li!" "Liam! Time for school!" "Coming, mom!" With that, you three headed off to the school. Boy, was the shool huge! "You go to school here?" Prowl nodded. "Yep! And I stay beside him at all times. You will too." You nodded, just wanting to see a certain raven haired boy. "Hey, Liam!" Ikki! "Morning, Ikki, Metabee." Metabee didn't reply, just chilling beside his partner.

"Good morning, Ikki." Said boy looked down at you. "Oh hey, (y/n). What're you doing here?" He asked. "I uhh..Wanted to see what the school was like!" You quickly lied, hoping he wouldn't notice. "Oh alright." Jeez was this school boring. You swore you had fallen asleep during one of Liam's classes, totally forgetting he was older than Ikki. Different classes..After school, apperently Liam was gonna hang out with others. You decided to join.

When you three got there, Ikki was talking to a girl his age. "Bug off, Arika. I can handle myself." The girl fired back, being just as stubborn. "I'm just looking out for you! You aren't exactly the best Medafighter, you know!" Liam immediately jumped in, trying to calm the two. You didn't pay much attention, Prowl leading you over by the arm. "Brass! Brass, meet (y/n)! (y/n), meet Brass! Brass is Arika's medabot. Arika being the girl over there." Brass waved to you. "Greetings, (y/n), it is a pleasure to meet you. Ikki has told me and miss Arika about you." She bowed a bit. You tilted your head. "Ikki talked about me?" You looked over at Ikki, seeing him staring at you. You shyly hid behind Prowl as you both were the same height. "Hey Ikki." You shyly waved. "Sup."

It's been awkward between you and Ikki, everyone else just fine. "Uhm...Ikki?" You spoke up, grabbing his shirt. "Yeah? What's up?" "Can I..Can I talk to you alone, please?" Ikki was unsure, but went along with it anyways. "Alright..." Walking nearby a tree, you stared up at the boy shyly. "U-uhm..I really really like you- like- like like..You.." You tapped your fingers together, looking down at your feet. Ikki sighed, bending down to your height. "I'm sorry but..No. You're a medabot and im a human. I don't think Medabots can even feel any love. You're a robot." "oh.."

Days went by and you still weren't okay. To be honest, you probably weren't ever gonna be okay. But you couldn't blame him, he is a human. You weren't. That wouldn't exactly be "normal", would it? Nor was it like you could force the boy. Guess it was just time to move on, forget about Ikki. Find your medafighter. Your true partner
