Shadow heard whimpering as he was walking through the hallways of the castle, the halls use to be so full of life and hope, but now it was just fill with good memories and despair, things hadn't been easy in the Clan, they lost there Queen to an curable disease at the time, and the King to old age of his mortal body, leaving the two young princes with promises and sorrow, the whimpering was coming from the Royal Bed room that was locked and off limits for everyone even the princes, but the sound was coming from there. He tries the door to find that it was unlocked blinking and getting ready to fight off the intruder he forces the door open.

Scourge who was just holding a black leather jacket with a flame patch on the sleeve tightly in his arms, that jacket was important because it was the jacket that their would always wear, but by of death she didn't want to be cremated in it, as if she knew she wasn't gonna make it. Shadow blinks and walked over to his brother.

"Scourge..."

"I-I know...I'm trying...." The green hedgehog swallows the lump in his throat it was clear that he had been crying, Shadow knew how close his brother and Mother were, so the Queen's Death was  more harder on him. But that's not got Shadow's attention it was the massive bleeding gashes over the green hedgehog's that ran from his chest down to his side.

"Scourge..." Shadow repeated before just grabbing a hold of his face. "Scourge I know this is hard for you but....I know Mom would rather see you happy than grieving..."

Scourge just pushes his face away from Shadow "It's...not that easy..."

"Heh...Hey I miss her too...I miss them both..." Shadow said taking the jacket from him. "But we promise Mom that we would always be strong for her...no matter how much we miss her..."

Scourge blinks before sniffing "...I'm trying...B-"

Shadow just stands Scourge up and puts the Jacket on him, it was big on him at first but he'll grow into it when he got older. "If you miss her that much...then wear it, I know how much she met you, well us...and besides I think she'd like you to have it inside of me"

Scourge looks at himself as he just sniffs before the tears started to come back, and he just hugs Shadow sobbing.

Shadow blinks and just hugs his brother back, feeling himself wanting to sob, the room just had a lot of memories. And the paints of their parents in the room.

"I...I know I don't say it much...but" Scourge said wiping away his tears. "B-but Your the best..." he admits.

|Third Person POV|

Shadow walks over to the Scourge, it was the dead of night and the moonlight was shining down a grave with a statue, of the King and Queen, that changes during the time of day, at the Statue had a strong werehog who was baring her teeth and snarl, she stood tall like a big wolf, underneath the werehog was a hedgehog who's quills similar to Shadow's but struck out more in the stripes, big horns sticking out from behind the ears, spikes running down the side of his arms, holding a scythe. During the Day the statue was of the two embracing each other with a smile on their face.

"Still miss them?" Shadow said flopping himself onto the grassing ground. On the grave had the names, Bernadette Aleena Werehog and Mephiles Iblis Dark.

"So what if I am..." Scourge grumbles, his head resting on his paws, as he just laid there on the grass in front of the grave that had blue rose garden around it and a beautiful tree behind it. The Tree was half black with dark purple flowers growing from it with pitch black leave and a darker brown bark. The other half had golden light green leaves with golden flowers growing from it the bark of the tree was a nice golden brown. The rose came after the tree had fully grown, no matter how bad the two were at gardening the tree and roses just for some reason never wilted and died.

"Look I miss them t-"

"Shut up...Shadow I don't need your talk...I just came out here to give my respect...I don't need you trying to lecture me" Scourge growled at the other werehog.

Shadow just goes quiet and sits there looking at the grave, there parents weren't buried there after all they washed to cremated, the two Princes agreed, and the castle staff kept the Ashes in the castle, in the room that was always locked.

"Do you think that we would ever find that someone?..." Scourge asked lifting his head up from his paws.

"I'm sure we will...even if one of us get one" Shadow responded as he just looks up at the stars, he didn't mind being that support for his brother, it's always been that way when their died. Scourge had a rough time growing up, unlike Shadow, he was man of actions than words, words didn't help but not by much, it had always been actions, because as a kid he was always bully by other kids, even those of the same Clan, and the green hedgehog would always come home scared and bruised, while Shadow was different everyone kind of liked him so he understood why Scourge hated him, but liked him as a brother.

"I guess..." Scourge said getting up and starting to leave the area. "I'm just going be in the woods, your welcome to come if you want" he said before just walking off on all fours.

Shadow just blinks, this was kind of a surprise for him but he just figured Scourge would want to be alone, but his mind started to wonder and the image of that blue hedgehog met in the morning popped into his thought, it couldn't hurt to see him again, if he lived that close to werewolf territory than he may already know about the were-folks, getting he quickly followed after Scourge.

Scourge was just sniffing the ground looking for something or someone as his ear twitches at all the noises of the forest wildlife and the footsteps of Shadow who was also sniffing for something or someone as well. Before long Scourge growled and broke into a sprint in the direct that smelt.

Shadow heard the growl and followed after Scourge after sniffing the air of what upsetted Scourge and ran in that direction after Scourge.

Sonic was struggling to breathe this wasn't his first time get attacked by a Naga, but this Naga was half fox, her red fur, and tan muzzle and underbelly, black leather fingerless gloves and a black leather cloth that covered her breasts, her blue eyes looking deep into the struggling blue hedgehog, with hunger, her snake body, was deep red and black with a stripe pattern, the scaly underbelly match her peach underbelly.

"Are you just a delicious snack~" The Fox hissed at Sonic bringing his body close to her face and starts liking his face with her long snake like tongue. Sonic just struggles his face a bit more blue than normal as he was struggling to breathe, he lets out a yelp feeling his body getting squeezed tighter. "Mmm...You even tasted interesting~"

"Put him down Fiona!"

Sonic's eyes looked over at the voice to see two familiar werehogs well their eyes and faces mostly looked familiar, their Werehog forms definitely mad the blue hedgehog feel small.

"Oh...Well if isn't, Scourge and Shadow" Fiona hissed her grip tighten on the hedgehog, who had started to tear up at this point from lack of oxygen in his lungs, being a Merhog he can hold his breath longer than most mobians which it why he hadn't passed out yet.

"Let him go Fiona..." Shadow growled taking a fighting stance and baring his teeth.

Scourge was already growing and snarling at the Naga showing his teeth.

Fiona only scoffs before fighting her grip on the hedgehog. "Your gonna have to take him from me!" He hisses showed of her snake like fangs.

The two werehog, just charge for the Naga their claws out as they leaped out and onto the Naga.

Fiona was swift and swung her tail at the siblings, Sonic having his breath taken way from him from the swift motion, he can just feel him sleeping away from consciousness. Shadow who just lunged forward and baring his teeth deep into Fiona side, making the Naga hiss in pain, she just punches him off with her fists, when she felt her lower body being fumble with to get the blue hedgehog loose from her strangling grip. She looks over to see Scourge clawing at the coil to only have shift her body so that her tail was crushing him, and she just hisses at him.

"Oh Scourgie...I appreciate you trying to help free my Snack, but this is mine!" She pulls the hedgehog close to her face again.

Sonic can feel his bones starting to get crushed, a painful yelp escapes his collapsing lungs.

Fiona only smirks, before she yelps herself and her lets go of the blue hedgehog, who just feel to the ground, coughing and gasping for air. His body shaking somewhat. Scourge had dug his nails into Fiona's lowers body using his body to hold her in place. While Shadow had dug his claws into Fiona exposed underbelly as he just sunk his teeth deep into the flesh. Scourge join in as the two siblings that for the first time in what felt like thirty years took down that female Naga, leaving her scarred and slithering off back into the deep forest.

Sonic was busy trying to breath but coughing and gasping for air, the two Werehogs just shoving their muzzles up to the blue hedgehog's body sniffing him to make sure he didn't have any physical injuries. The two werehogs soon growled at each other when their's muzzles bushes over the crotch, and Shadow shoves his paw on Scourge's muzzle to push him away.

The two Werehogs soon came to senses when the blue hedgehog just collapses to ground, just exhausted and the lack of oxygen he was getting because of the two big beasts breathing down on his small body.

"I don't trust you..." Shadow growled scooping Sonic up in his arms, and cradling the blue hedgehog in his arms.

Scourge just grumbles and follows after his brother, "I just wanted to check...give me a fucking break!" He growled.

Shadow just ignored Scourge as he just walked back to the castle, at least he didn't have injuries on his body well from what they could see, as Shadow was holding the hedgehog he can see that was a deep cut on arm, and some scrapes on the hedgehog face. The urge to just lick the hedgehog's face was strong. He opens the door to the castle and made sure Scourge was inside first before he walked in.

Scourge notices the damages on the hedgehogs body and pushed his muzzle into Shadow's arm before just getting growled at and having his muzzle pushed was by a powerful paw. The green Werehog just growls back and bites down on the other's arm. The other yelp not be able to use his other paw to force Scourge's mouth open he was gonna have to suffer the pain. The bright light from the sun shined into the castle through the window turning the two werehogs back into hedgehogs this time Shadow not being able to cradle The blue hedgehog anymore fumbled with him to not drop him on the hard wood floor. Scourge having to dive letting go of Shadow's arm to catch the blue hedgehog from falling back first onto the floor, both hedgehog's let out a breath of relief, Scourge pulling himself up and now carrying the blue hedgehog bridal style.

"Shut the door, Dumbass" Scourge growled at Shadow point to the door.

Shadow just rolls his eyes and closes the door. "I thought you and Fiona were still a thing..."

"I don't want to talk about her...She did nothing good for me" Scourge said turning to leave, still holding Sonic in his arms.

"Where are you taking him?" Shadow asked

Scourge just ignores Shadow and continued walking, looking down at the blue hedgehog that was asleep in his arms, he's never been this close to the hedgehog but seeing him this close, and feeling him he was right, he was soft. He didn't want to believe this was his special someone, but the way Shadow looked at Sonic. What the blue hedgehog also his soulmate? Could this even be possible? He still wasn't sure if Sonic was an Alpha, Beta, or an Omega. A sigh escapes him lips at least he was able to hold the hedgehog finally.

Sonic just snuggles into Scourge for warmth, his ear twitches a little bit, Scourge felt him move in his arm but he was glad that he was breathing normal that was a tight grip on his little body.
